Popular Post Katt
YAKUZA KIWAMI KIWAMI Obtained all trophies. Oh my god, I want to cry. This one was hard. Stupid mahjong, to think I'll have to do it again on Yakuza 0 and I heard the mahjong challenges in Yakuza Kiwami 2 are worse. Haven't confirmed. Next the Climax Battles, I enjoyed past Climax Battles in other Yakuza games, fun challenges, hard but doable. But these "don't get hit not even once" challenges were extreme. After all this I said "okay! let's go to the LEGEND run" my body petrified when I remembered the car chase, the infamous car chase my god no. The lack of save point before the chase is idiotic, if it slipped down in the development process, okay, I can forgive that. But if it was intentional, fuck you, whoever you are. Once I dealt with the car chase I just defeated all the remaining bosses. With War God Talisman it's a piece of cake. Golden Pistol in LEGEND run it's completely useless hahahaha. AAaaaahhh yes, I loved how Jo Amon talks to the player in the encounter with him, that fourth wall moment is easily one of my favorite moments in the game. Brutal fight too. I would love to have seen Akiyama in the final part of the game. Because if you played Yakuza 4, you should know his story starts right there in that exact moment.
Popular Post ResoluteRock
#4: GOD OF WAR III REMASTERED King of the Hill - 17.80% I've finally finished the first 3 God of War games Each one was better and better, and the third one proved to be the best yet. It had: - The best boss battles (Cronos ) - The best visuals + graphics - The best gameplay (loved the addition of the new weapons like the Nemesis Whip) I personally enjoyed the story of the first God of War the best out of the three, but this game's story was still amazing and took me to many varied, awesome places. I'm going to wait a bit before diving into Chains of Olympus, Ghost of Sparta, and Ascension since if I play it immediately after this one, I have the feeling I'll be a bit disappointed, even though I expect them to be good games nonetheless.
Popular Post Desmuria
#129 - Storm Boy Storm Boy Get all other Trophies in Storm Boy Enjoyment: 5/10 Difficulty: 0/10 Despite the fact that the gameplay for this is super simple and, dare I say it, a little boring: I found the story to be quite sad. The game consists of walking along the beach and playing mini games as you go. The only mini game that annoyed me was feeding the pelicans. The controls were shockingly bad. Trophies all revolve around you fulfilling certain requirements as you play the mini games and they make you play them again after you finish the story. I would suggest having a glimpse at a guide, so you know what the requirements are for each mini game. I paid £4.99 for this and I feel that I paid too much... and it's just a fiver! I just think they could've done so much more with this wonderfully tragic story and they wasted it. If they'd done a point-and-click game instead, I think it would've had a lot more impact. Popular Post yellowwindow7
Ripto's Remorse / Spyro 2 Ripto's Rage this game back in the ps1 days is my no.1 favorite ps1 game of all the time and it was an honor to replay it again in a new graphics with a slightly better controls, back then when i was younger i had a crush on Elora the Faun ? and when i started this game i was so excited to see her new looks on the different cut scene's and she's freaking cute! well enough of that, the game is good and i had a blast with it more than the first game, just like old times. but i had to admit it was less polished than the first game... at the level " Magma Cone " one of the little earth shapers that throw rocks at you and run away while i was chasing one around his running animation got bugged and he enter the T pose stand the whole time while i was running after him.. it was hilarious ? also sparks don't pick up's the gems like it was supposed to, slightly worse than the first game. it's not all bad though the game is still running fine, i mean no game breaking glitches.... at least. (( i like how some of the skill points from the original ps1 version of spyro 2 can still be done in the remake but it won't count because it's not on the skill point like something is telling me that they scrapped some of the skill points and other stuff during the development to catch up the deadline )) ●UPDATE: the lines about the skill points above is not 100% correct, whether some of the skill points got glitched on me and triggered once I replayed the level or they exchange them as once you do them instead of getting a skill point you will get a trophy instead...● ... i'm still scratching my head with the three months of delay and it was happen for what? off to the third game then, i heard it's the worst of the three but i'll save my rant about it until i plat it so until then, Peace fellow gamers! blu3st4rdust305
The Inner World - PS4 (#137) Point and click adventure that never quite clicked for me. Was initially very off-put by the art style, humor and story. It did grow on me a bit, but was never really a solid connection for me. The puzzles are not very intuitive, but the game isn't very difficult due to the hint system. ::shrug: 99Vidas - PS4 (#138) Great action brawler akin to Streets of Rage, etc. Too bad the road to the platinum is one of grueling monotony. The characters are not diverse enough to warrant having to max them all out and finish the game with each. The difficulties are also painful. Thankfully, thanks to a tip in the EU forum to just farm lives from the beginning of "Izzy" difficulty all the way up to Elite was finally able to finish up this platinum. So very glad to be done with this one.
Popular Post JaM
Antiquia LostOmniscient Traveler Obtained all trophies Got this game from a previous sale, haven't heard of the game beforehand and when I've read that it is also made by the one that made Revenant Saga. I bought it since I really liked Revenant Saga. Sure, the graphics in the game is so mobile-game-like and the story is like a generic let's-save-the-world-cause-why-not story. What I liked the game is the gameplay. Nothing is special about it tbh, it just made me remember how I like turn-base RPGs. Which is kinda funny since I do have ToCS in my Vita but too lazy to mke progress on it Would recommend? Errr... Sure why not, just don't expect much about the game. Popular Post ukiukimidnite
Platinum 26 - Broken Sword 5 Yeah...I liked this. I used a guide, but I had a lot of fun playing through it. The story was a lot shorter than I expected (it probably could have been padded out if I made a point of interacting with every object and using every conversation option), but it was still nice. I got it cheap, which I'm glad about. A fun platinum!

thefourfoldroot
Just got the Deiland platinum last night. Won't let me update my profile here though, keeps coming up with a error message. Hopefully it's only temporary. Fun: 6 Difficulty: 2 Luckily I didn't encounter any of the bugs others have, so it was a nice, mostly relaxig, platinum consisting of very minimal grinding at the end. Would definitely play any sequel. Edited November 23, 2018 by thefourfoldroot
Popular Post madbuk
#287 - Kingdom Hearts II This is a great game. It further refines the combat from KH1, has more content, an arguably better story, and yet despite all that, I can't help but prefer KH1. This game takes forever to really begin. KH1 is fun from the start (well, maybe Destiny Islands is a bit dull on a second playthrough), but this game has you do a several hour long prologue, followed by about 8 worlds, and then things finally pick up. Until that point, which is just over half way through the game, nothing you do really seems to matter. You're visiting various Disney worlds and sorting out their problems, but the main story is barely progressing at all. You also lack a lot of moves that make the combat actually fun - quick dash, combo pluses, high jump, the double jump/redirect thing. Once you get these, the combat is great, but until then it's rather boring, and the lack of any real plot progression only furthers the sense of boredom. Once things really start, and you've got the introductory first visits of every world out the way, the game is a joy to play although I prefer the world design of 1. The worlds here are very... flat. There's very little platforming to be done, outside of the Cavern of Rememberance, and each area is fairly small, and it just feels rather empty. Definitely disappointing but I can look past it because almost every area is filled with enemies and the combat is fun (once you get some combos.) The platinum for this is rather annoying, but not really as bad as I remembered it being from the PS3 version. Mushroom XIII are just dumb gimmicks and I hope they're not in KH3, but the data org fights were a satisfying challenge and synthesis is a lot less tedious than it was in KH1. Some of the minigame mission requirements were annoying/gimmicky, but nothing too bad. Was definitely fun to stack, but I had more fun stacking KH1 and Re:CoM. Interested to see how I'll feel about BBS once I've stacked that, since I was not very fond of it by the time I had the plat on PS3. BBS is the only one I have left until I'm ready for 3 though, which is exciting. Hope I can get it done on time.
Popular Post Starrk_01
Plat #139: Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon Great game (played the crap out of this game when it was on PS1), but definitely the buggiest of the three games, though that is not saying much from my perspective. The main problem I had was with the Partner's (anyone but Spyro) camera angles when you played as them. One notable instance was when I was playing as Sgt. Byrd at his home world. For some damn reason the camera angle at one point was looking up from underneath Sgt. Byrd and I couldn't see anything (I literally had to go "first person" to get out of that instance.) Anyways still enjoyed the game/series and would recommend to anyone who is wanting to get that nostalgic bug out of them.
Popular Post Lum
#37: Bloodborne All trophies acquired. Hats off! To be honest, when I first started playing this game, it didn't really appeal me to me as much as I anticipated and started to wonder why this game is adored by so many others. In fact, I was actually close to dropping the game after putting several hours into it and before I could still earn my first trophy because it did actually quite bore me a great deal at first, and maybe it was because of the heavy early grinding that was necessary to be strong enough to take on the first boss, which is ironic and very surprising after being able to plat something as grindy as Star Ocean 4. At the same time I usually play my games all the way through just in case those games do get better...and lo and behold Bloodborne does. I guess this one grew on me, liking it more as I progressed. The whole gothic atmosphere feel throughout the game gives quite a unique experience. While I thought the in-depth customization of your character before starting the game was neat, I honestly just wanted to start the game already. Another reason why I may have felt turned off in the beginning is the whole silent protagonist thing as well. I do understand that this kind of character helps the player become immersive into the character, but for me I just don't get that same effect in this element of RPG. The different armors/outfits available for your character that you can find throughout the game does make him/her look bad-ass though. The controls I thought were a bit clunky, but I learned to get used to this as well. The arsenal of right hand weapons and their ability to be transformed into an almost different weapon, is one of the coolest features in this game. To be able to carry two of these types of weapons meant you kind of have 4 weapons to mess with (not to mention, along with the 2 left-handed ones), and all can be used for multiple situations. One weapon could be better for large mobs while another weapon is better for certain bosses, or maybe you get bored of one after awhile and just want to switch it up. Parrying with a gun (instead of your typical melee weapon) seems rather unique as well, that takes a bit more skill and timing compared to let's say, God of War. Quite often I would miss a shot from my pistol when the enemy was extremely close that was a bit annoying considering that the timing was probably on point for a readied visceral IF the bullet had just connected. This game could have used some of God of War's great hit detection. Most boss fights felt pretty epic one way or another and gives a real satisfying feeling when defeating one and reading the glorified words, "PREY SLAUGHTERED", especially when one can be extremely difficult (Loran Darkbeast, Ludwig and Laurence comes to mind). Bloodborne and the rest of the Souls games have a reputation of being "hard", but like with any other similar game, leveling up, along with numerous trial & error and practice, almost always helps you overcome any difficult roadblock. Summoning also helps too as a last resort. As for the story, while I thought the content of the story itself was interesting and I did understand a fair amount of it, however, I'm just not a big fan of how it was told with the whole minimal storytelling and leaving things up for interpretation. Many parts aren't exactly clear or didn't make sense, and that there doesn't seem to be a consensus of what actually happened in certain parts. While I do see the appeal in trying to connect the lore together and talking about it among others who also played the game, I feel more satisifed and complete experiencing the more traditional style of narrative storytelling that seems to be more my cup of tea. Also, it makes me think that the focus of the game was meant to be towards everything else but the story. In the end, while it seems that I found plenty of things about the game that I didn't favor, I'm still glad I went through with it since I did at least experience some awesome gameplay that I personally thought was plenty of fun.

Popular Post StraightVege
Every Trophy accomplished #178 - Black Mirror This mediocre adventure title was included in the recent Humble Bundle, and I had heard it's an easy platinum, so I gave it a run. Janky controls, weird collision, comically bad character animations, lengthy and frequent load times, game crashes—yep, this definitely felt like a budget title. The "Vision" sections where you have to click on various hotspots before dying are crap, and I don't know what they were thinking from a design perspective. I also found the story wholly uninteresting, but at least the voice acting was competent. There are so many superior adventure games out there; this is really only worth playing for the free trophies. Revolutionary #179 - Red Faction II Having vaguely fond memories of this game from my childhood, I had the bright idea for my first run to be on Hard mode, without cheats... Well, I must have forgotten about the cheap, unending streams of enemies (many of which spawn behind you), not to mention how utterly unfair the last couple of boss encounters are. The dated design, combined with the lack of a keyboard and mouse didn't make things easier. Still, I pushed through fairly quickly, but the subsequent playthroughs certainly had cheats activated. Some of the trickier bonus objectives are nearly impossible without cheats anyway. Overall, I much prefer RF 1. While the difficulty was broken there, too, the Geo-Mod system was far less limited, allowing you to tunnel all over the place and create your own routes. RF II, on the other hand, is mostly linear corridors, and lacks the atmosphere of the original. I will say the shooting and controls feel better in the sequel, though—plus, you get to hear Jason Statham and Lance Henriksen attempt to be voice actors, which is amusing.
Popular Post Phoenix_argentea
Ok, one post for two platinum trophies! Nos. 89 & 90. Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage! Ripto’s remorse Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon Party like it’s 2024 Most of us are playing these games, so I don't think I'll add something new, but I can try. ? First of all I’ve never played these two, and they’re really fun, but I still prefer the first entry (yes, it's nostalgia!). The two is my least favorite just for a couple of issues: no eggs, no dragons, only orbs. And three seasons. Why? I expected four worlds, and not three. What happened to the Spring? ? Anyway, I found (as usual) a fun glitch during the Giantslayer trophy in Fractured Hills: after I smashed one of the first rock giant I was waiting for the third arrow of Hunter to knock down the last one, but strangely Hunter was still. And suddendly I got hit. What?! I thought the last giant threw a rock, but he was also still. And then another hit. And finally I realized: one of the giant that I defeated was alive and invisible! ? I could do nothing. Luckily, on the next attempt it didn’t happen again. I report again the same issue that I found in the first game (and in the third one): the camera is too close! And it made some challenges more difficult, like the Conservationist 2 (usually I didn’t see the circle wall or the Gulp's shots, and I lost something like 13 or 15 lives, only for the trophy), in the Bug control, but also in the underwater levels (in these one I always smashed against a wall). I read before that I’m not the only one and Durandal confirmed this (and one question: do I need to put the @ before the name for the quotation? Edit: no, it doesn't work). The third game added new characters and the dragons eggs (Oh, thank you guys! I wanted to save someone and not to collect orbs again ?) but I think they made the flying level too easy. Oh, and I really like the Lara Croft appearance in Desert ruins and her mocking in the Haunted Tombs. I didn’t expected this character herer! Just one note about the platinum title, but I think it refers to the Chinese horoscope, right? So the 2024 will be the Dragon year. ? In the end they are fun games and this remake is very good. The new Sparx detector gem function was a good feature: if you want you can use it, otherwise you can play as usual. And most of the time she detected gems I was sure I had picked up or well hidden by the grass (and I prefer replay the challenges instead of wandering around for 30 minutes just for one gem). But I’ve never used the maps (I completely refuse them. I wanted to find my own path). ? Just disappointed for the big update since I had to wait for a week for the download. And I still don’t understand why someone reported something like 36 GB while they were “only” 19,6 GB (maybe I lost something as usual, please forgive me ?). And a patch for the freaking camera in order to adjust the distance and have a clear sight of the surroundings. ? Edited November 25, 2018 by Phoenix_argentea Trying to figure out how to make the quotations with the blue rectangle. And I'm still missing something. My apologies, I give up. =(
