Popular Post Carol
#159 Blasting Agent: Ultimate Edition Blasting Agent Be a Blasting Agent and unlock everything I was looking for something entertaining and not too time-consuming to play on my Vita and I found this game for just 1,49€, so I decided to give it a try. It's a Ratalaika game, but with a decent trophy list. It requires you to do two playthroughs (normal and hard), in order to get the platinum. Of course it is far from being a great game, but it can be quite fun, if you are just looking for something to pass some time. Some of the bosses can be cheap and annoying to defeat, though, especially on your first playthrough. When you beat normal mode, you unlock a martial arts character, that makes the bosses much easier. Unfortunately, the game is far from being stable: it crashed on me every single time I finished a mission. I have no idea how a game can be allowed to be sold in such conditions. Luckily, I had no problems during the missions and the trophies also unlocked fine.

Popular Post NullSpace84
#32: The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Falcom can do no wrong. Bless. Where should I begin? This longform turn-based JRPG overflows with evolving character dialogue and worldbuilding, as with Trails in the Sky and all the other Kiseki games preceding it. It bonded me to the vast majority of its politicking cast, be they flowery debaucherous prince, hardworking petite Student Council president, spunky and forward motorcyclist, or any one of the comrades forged in the all-new zeitgeist of Class VII. Zemuria remains a captivating continent to visit and traverse, and along that line, I'm elated we'll receive III at long last, 'ere too long. The Quartz system marks the strongest 'Materia' vibe I've ever pulled outside of FFVII, to its extreme credit and my rapid and fervent appreciation. Strong audio all-around in both composition and voiceover tops the cake! I can still sink into these enriching VG realms even now, even today, and I'll continue t'do exactly that so long as we keep receiving masterworks like the gemstones of Kiseki / Trails. ^.^ Special bonus for me personally, since my first Falcom Platinum became the inimitable Ys VIII's, at #16, and now with ToCS I's, the fun has been doubled since, earning #32. Numerical symmetry sings to me, oh yes~ :> No chance I'll wait 'til #48 for ToCS II's!

Popular Post Cave Johnson
God Eater 2: Rage Burst Paragon God Eater Collect all trophies. I'm glad that's over. I started this right after Resurrection, which was not a good idea. As much as I liked the first game, it was just too many hours of the same thing in a row. The gameplay is basically the same; the main difference being blood arts, which do change things quite a bit. It also didn't help that I greatly prefer the story and characters of the first game. I liked Livie a lot, at least (partially due to Kanemoto Hisako). She doesn't show up until late in the story, though. The trophies are more or less the same as Resurrection. Soloing a survival mission on the hardest difficulty was laughably easy this time thanks to blood rage. It also made killing the Crimson Orochi a joke. Without any special setup I could usually kill it in under five minutes. I somehow had enough tickets, so obtaining 400 articles of clothing wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I don't really care to say anymore; I just want to move on from this game. I'll get God Eater 3 eventually, but first, I need a break. Get's praised by a big amount of people for being the best among the franchise... ...but is in almost every aspect just way to inferior then the sequel... But you can't really judge a prequel for being inferior to the sequel right? But that's more of a look at all the modes standpoint I think the biggest negatives were I can judge on are the underneath: It feels mechanical wise a little bit off. Sometimes the moving/jumping feels weird enough to miss something or just stop out right. Also on a technical aspect I got a lot of stuttering which I didn't had in legends. The levels also seemed a little bit dead. That can be an illusion for not having to collect many electoons in the level itself. So what does it do better then the sequel: It had a story (kinda) AND I did like the hubworld and selection screen more then legends. The game itself is actually pretty fine just like legends and it won't be off putting. if you like platformers and/or rayman, then buy it! Now time to pitchfork the flying sequence and hope they will never come back in later instalments!

Popular Post Baker
#214 Shiness The Lightning Kingdom Completionist Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 Total Playtime: 45 hours A pretty good action JRPG which I’ve wanted to play for a long time. In the beginning there where a couple of glitched trophies so it took me a while to finally start it. The big downside is that you have to do two full playthroughs in order to get all trophies, although my first full playthrough only took 33 hours and my second speedrun around 12 hours. Now this game has a lot of UR trophies which I don’t quite understand as the game is short and easy, I’ve played many harder and longer JRPGs with much higher completion rates. The hardest trophy is for completing the game without dying, but you can use backup saves, although I didn’t need it as I didn’t die once. Maybe the rarity is so low because there isn’t really much information or a good guide yet. So if anybody has questions about this game send a PM, or maybe I’ll write a miniguide and post it in the forum section.

Popular Post StraightVege
PLATINUM WARRIOR #189 - Cast of the Seven Godsends: Redux This obscure Ghouls 'n Ghosts throwback was on sale for a paltry 69 cents, and since 2D platformers are my favorite genre, I decided to try it. Upon starting, it became immediately apparent why this title was priced so low—it looks only marginally better than a flash game, features cutscenes which appear to have been created in MS Paint, and the text dialogue is in poorly translated, broken English. Strangely, the words "Trial Version" are permanently visible at the bottom-right of the screen. It also crashed 3 times, and is still affected by a nasty glitch, that prevents trophies from unlocking if you ever dare exit to the main menu after starting a game. This can be fixed by restarting the application, fortunately. The story is shallow gobbledygook, so I wont even bother. Gameplay is rough but serviceable, however, with a variety of available weapons (including the old standby dagger from GnG), and 7 cool elemental armors to choose from—the titular "Seven Godsends"—each with their own unique attacks. The sword/ice armor combo is overpowered, though, so there's little reason to deviate from that; its charge attack freezes enemies and does massive damage, trivializing boss encounters. I think the game would have benefited from having a double-jump, as your character's jumps are floaty and lack height, and it's sometimes difficult to tell what objects can be jumped on and when. Platforming is fairly sparse anyway, though. Most enemy spawns are unending and obnoxious: they can actually appear inside your hitbox for cheap damage, particularly in the final stage. Still, there's not much of a challenge here for veterans; levels are brief, and bosses die quickly. The game overall is quite short, too—I finished in 1h 14m, for 3rd fastest on the leaderboard. As for the music, it's just... there. Nothing special, which is a shame, considering the many memorable soundtracks to have come out of this genre. CotSG is an unpolished, amateur effort, by a small Italian developer. It's not great by any means, but could've been far worse, considering the price. The armor system is really the only interesting aspect, but if you're a huge fan of this style of platformer, then it might be worth picking up at a reduced price. Popular Post panikooooos
Call of Duty: Classic Difficulty: 8.5/10 Enjoyment 9/10 After hearing that the first Call of Duty is on sale and also has a challenging plat, I knew I had to get this. This is literally what CoD is supposed to be, brutal depictions of wars, boots on the ground battles, no forced sjw crap (seriously if you play the new Cods you'll probably think the emblem of the nazis was a fucking iron cross just lmao ?), no hideous huds telling you what to do all the time, no 20 minute long cutscenes, this is a game that truly immerses you in the horrors of World War 2. You play through three campaigns, American, British and Russian, American missions are the easiest, you're usually with lots of teammates which actually do a pretty good job clearing the battlefield unlike other games with useless AIs, next hardest is the Russian and finally oooh boy the British, every british mission is almost hardest than the previous one, and considering you have to finish this game 3 times to get the plat it will get frustrating trust me (although if you beat veteran first, the other difficulties are a joke). Now let's focus on the infamous part of the game, the Veteran playthrough, and yes it is almost as bad as people say it is. For the newcomers this is the first Cod so there is NO regenerating health you only have a health bar and have to go checkpoint to checkpoint without it going to 0. So far so good you might think, that doesn't sound too bad right? WRONG. The game will disable checkpoints unless your health meets the arbitrary percentage criteria it has set! So let's say you went through a tough battle, killed 10 nazis and have like 20% health left, well good luck finishing the level now, you will not get ANY checkpoints which is pretty much a restart. You only need 1-2 bullets and you're pretty much "screwed" for the rest of the level. Will you take the risk and try to finish the rest of the level with no checkpoints? That is up to you (it actually pays off sometimes). Basically your strategy should be to learn the enemy spawns so you don't get surprise attacked, kill enemies/do objectives, try not to get shot and move to the next checkpoint. Also I forgot to mention Veteran has NO health packs so don't rely on that. The storyline is nothing too great but it sure feels refreshing to see a pure fps, created by developers who love this genre and truly wanted to give us something unique. The game has 26 missions but most of them can be done quickly if you know what to do and are playing on a lower difficulty. Now comes the part for some special F yous caused by the rage inducing veteran playthrough: F the "Bavarian Alps" (this isn't a mission people have problems with but I got stuck in that part where you enter the nazi mansion and you have like 7 soldiers come out from the upper floor next to two staircases, my teammate had died and all the vids I saw had teammates alive, fuck it I did it by myself F the "Brecourt Manor" (this is the one with the mortars in the end, they kept shooting me through walls and even when I killed one on the mg42 they seemed to infinitely respawn F the "Dam" (holy shit, probably the hardest mission on par with the next one, just fuck this shit, long ass mission, scarce checkpoints, LOADS of nazis (sometimes 5 in one room), complex map layout if you haven't played the level before (at one point I took the left route when the right one was 100% easier and had less enemies), snipers constantly trying to instakill you, people from lower floors killing you, that generator room where the nazis basically play hide and seek and then the general instamelees you just AWFUL, great visuals and good map but on veteran? Fuck that. F the "Lorry" (so you're like holy shit I just finished the Dam, the next mission can't be worse right? Well..... This mission may be short but it requires 100% accuracy on your part. You're on a rail segment on a truck and you need to defend it basically from oncoming trucks, motorcycles and those nazi volkswagens. The problem is your rocket ammo is limited, you have like 5 (not enough for this level trust me), and not is it scarce but your teammate sometimes decides to take the ammo and fire the rockets himself!!! Like dude I've seen your accuracy leave this to me ?. The motorcycles will finish you off in 1-2 seconds you have to kill the gunners immediately, just like the volkswagen at one point, you won't even know what happened believe me, just have a rocket ready. Anyways this mission needed more checkpoints, some people think it does have 2 but for most people it's glitched or something idk) F "Battleship Tirpitz" (what do I even say about this mission, you're on a battleship alone and have to kill pretty much everyone from bottom to top decks, blow some shit up, go to the other side of the battleship and escape by boat. Oh does that sound hard as fuck? IT'S BECAUSE IT IS. You go through looooong ass corridors filled with enemies one behind another, ready to shoot you and ruin your run and if you manage to escape the lower deck, get ready to be fucked by snipers on bridges, enemies left and right just terrible mission on veteran) F the "Stalingrad Sewers" (just as the name says, tight corridors packed with enemies from all directions, left, right, up, behind you, in front of you) F "Pavlov's House" (this is the most infamous mission out of all Cods on veteran, it's basically a house with 4 floors packed with like 100 f*cking enemies!!!!!!!!!! You begin to mission by taking out like 7 snipers inside that house, then you move up, you clear all the visible mg42 gunners, people running outside, basically kill like 30 people but no IT HASN'T EVEN BEGUN YET. Now you have to go in and clear out every floor packed with enemies while they can snipe you from upper floors through cracks btw, each floor has like 6-7 enemies all camped and ready to pop out just to end your whole career, your team barely does anything, my whole team was on the second floor for example, no shots being fired, then I go up there and get instakilled by someone camping it out! So let's say you managed to do the task you cleared the cockroach infestation, the house is now clear mission over right? Guess again. Now you have to defend the house for 5 minutes from tanks and nazis, the tanks firing at every inch of the house! I left the house and camped besides a wall till the timer run out because fuck doing that there is no way.) There's some more bullshit but I got bored of typing, the game is good just buy it, very challenging plat, it's definitely worth it, thanks if you read this ?

Popular Post Phoenix_argentea
Platinum trophy No. 120! ?? A Rose in the Twilight A Rose in the Twilight I found it by accident on the PS store with a good price drop. It's an obscure little game, made by the same developers who created Yomawari, and probably it should be the sequel of The firefly diary (htoL#NiQ for friends. Copied by Google because I have no idea how I should remember this name created by a cat walking on the keyboard... ). A really dark fairy tale with blood, a lot of puzzles (some of them a little bit frustrating, like the catapult in the Path to the Abyss 1, or the confusing roadmap in the library, but I really liked the painting puzzles and the clocktower ?) and also speedruns. I was really surprised by the time I had in some levels, something like 15-20 minutes! And they became 2-3 minutes in the speedrun . Even the boss fights can be annoying, especially the last one, because you have to learn every single pattern, and if you make a single mistake, you have to start from the beginning. Over and over again. The worst parts were the execution chambers, because I didn't want to kill my characters with the medieval tortures, like the iron maiden or the guillotine. "Seriously? Do I have to offer my blood in this way? Please, I don't want to watch this scene...", this was my reaction every time I entered in an executioner chamber. Some collectibles which aren't really difficult and add extra details to the plot, like the blood memories or the scrolls. This was my best screenshot (according to me, because there is a lunar eclipse! ?): But this is the platinum screenshot at the end of the game: If you like puzzle games with a nice story, then give a look to this game, you won't regret! ?
