Popular Post TheAbyssWalker61
Platinum 37 TERA (The Exiled Realm of Arborrea) Arborean Hero I always wanted to play this game at that time but it was only for PC and I did not have a powerful one, and after 6 years I realized that it was on ps4 and free to play, I decided to try it and the honestly is a great game, great MMO, the massive world is beautiful and very fantastic, my favorite dungeon is Sinestral Manor because i love vampires (Great reference of "Interview with the Vampyr"), Elizabeth Bathory as an enemy in a quest, it is very cool. The character design is very varied, being Asian and being Asians so based you can create quite beautiful female characters and the armor stands out very well, I do not recommend it for PVP, I like Kumas battles but I have not played more pvp, it's more a pve game, but maybe some pvp can give you fun Platinum is not difficult really, I did it all alone, I never made a group and I could get it, the fun comes with the last 2 trophies the bosses of Arun and Shara is when the good and complicated comes, the time of respawn of the bosses is horrible, bad and unfair to that, add that there are more players who will take the bosses away from you. Divine Reaver was not difficult really, it was just having patience but it took me a long time to come out, I stayed waiting for 3 hours while I changed the channel, Nyxarras seemed the worst of all, i did him more damage but he was a fucking dragon and he just flies through it. It takes a long time, with each one it lasts an hour and 15 minutes but if you can, if you are doing the platinum, go for it, it is a great game and also it is an ultra-rare platinum only online, that always gives merit !! By the way here my sexy elf waifu !!
Popular Post Captain_Bone_666
# 69: Death Stranding: Director's Cut Greatest of Great Deliverers This was the first time ever I got my trophies via auto-pop. Already got the platinum on PS4 and loved the 110 hour long journey a the time. I was thrilled to get back to this with the director's cut and was happy to get back into the game. I would have appreciated more additional missions. Racetrack and shooting range are nice, but really not something that keeps me in the game. Instead, I build the additional roads and cruised through the landscape with the roadster. But getting trophies via autopop feels kind of hollow and undeserved. On the other hand, I would probably not done a complete walkthrough again... Keep on keeping on!
Popular Post AK-1138
Platinum #647: Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in TimeDifficulty: 3.5/10Playtime: 20-22 hours Right, so full disclosure... from this point--though it may well contravene both the name and purpose of this very thread; sue me--I'm not going to stringently write about my most recent platinary achievement as such. Sometimes, time and other factors force my hand to move on to what's next before I get my writings done. These (hopefully sporadic) cases will henceforth be denoted as "MRPOWIDTC" (Most Recent Platinum on Which I Deign to Comment). Yeah, I know, sounds like the name of a Polish butcher suspected of being Jack the Ripper or something! Apropos to nothing, this very game happens to be qualify as one of them MRMXYZPTLK thingies! What are the odds, eh?!? ...So, full disclosure again (discloception?): I missed a spot check or two before starting this, so I was somehow unaware of its status as the third installment of a new trilogy... and what with its preceding titles predating the very birth of Sony's totally original and non-derivative trophy system, alongside budgetary and chronosynchratic considerations, I had to forego actual playing experience in this case... but not to worry, I caught the story sections courtesy of my old pal Gary YouTube and his superior Gary YouTubing so as not to be completely lost. So with this lengthy pre(r)amble out of the way, let's get crackin' with the knackin'... or time, or whatever. I have neither the time nor inclination to jot down all the finer points of this new continuity... so suffice to say, for reasons of convoluted previouslyonage, Ratchet is without Clank, thanks to a race of tiny aliens called the Zoni, who have more or less had to abduct Clank so as to enable him to fulfill his true purpose as Keeper of Time, destined to ensure that the fabric of time is maintained, or to try and prevent a Shawn Michaels match from going too long yet again... one of the two, anyway. Unfortunately, Clank sustained some damage during Ratchet's Quest for Booty, so in the depths of their ignorance, the Zoni have called upon the robotical expertise of *DUN DUN DUNNNNN* Dr. Nefarious Tropy! ...Tee hee, got your hopes up for an epic platforming furry boy crossover there, didn't I? No, it's just regular old boomerang bigot genocidal maniac Dr. Nefarious... not that time is any the less potentially fucked for it. Ever hear of a background check, guys? Predicated on no small amount of timey-wimey shenaniganry, it's easily the most epic and dramatic story in the series thus far by a sizeable distance, sometimes touching on hitherto untapped emotional pathos... but it does also perhaps too good a job of this, somehow failing along the way to make this new Pixar-like presentation congeal fully with the series' trademark wacky comedic tone, to its detriment more often than not. Before I espouse the virtues of the gameplay, I really must emphasize this game's most efficacious asset: achieving something so rare as a PS3 game genuinely impressive from a technical viewpoint, especially given its relative age. The graphics are crisp as a spring daisy in spring, with chunky vertice work, gorgeous colourization, and shader effects out the butt (pictures of those stealth camouflage boxes is all Snake's got in his porn folder), and all at a downright gobsmacking 60 FPS! even if the ol' RYNO will inevitably treat your framerate with as much TLC as your enemies, it's still a largely stable experience. It's oddly satisfying having your onslaught of ordnance slow down the game, anyway. Honestly, I find it hard to believe that the notoriously finicky PS3 hard(to optimize)ware could even hope to render something as aesthetically sumptuous as this... but seeing is believing, as they say. Not to be outdone by pithy indulgences of pure aesthetic, the game also boasts some of the tightest gameplay of the series, with a damn solid guns-to-platforming ratio. The central gameplay peculiarity are the Hoverboots, essentially Charge Boots on steroids that make traversal a high-speed thrill, and also allowing for some nifty bits of specialized platforming by way of ramps and bumper pads and all that kinda Pinball Wizardy nonsense. Generally, the fun factor is consistently high--especially just coming off the workmanlike malaise of Deadlocked like I did--but a few ill-advised gameplay ideas do tend to drag it down at times. The time puzzles just aren't my thing, and bog down the pacing like nobody's business... boy, they never can crack the code on Clank gameplay, huh? Even doing them with a guide proved an anhedonic chore. Thankfully, they are fully skippable in Challenge Mode, displaying a kind of self-awareness not always extant in earlier titles. The open world space battles never quite reach the sweet spot of difficulty; they either prove lengthy and repetitive, or just complete curb stomps once you've collected enough My Little Zonis to upgrade your ship proper. And that goddamn arcade game can fuck off and die in a hole. See that extra half a point of difficulty rating up there? 93.7% owed to this RNG abomination alone. Flappy Goat flashbacks are never fun to anyone. Ultimately, A Crack in Time is a gloriously confident piece of craftsmanship that not only lands the game in the series' top echelon, but proves to be something so rare as a PS3 exclusive not to be missed. It deserves a more lustrous fate than to be stuck on a VESSEL bound for OBSOLESCENCE, yeeeeeeeesss!!! Hint hint, Insomniac...!Final Score: 8/10 Edited October 3, 2021 by AK-1138 Formatting
Popular Post Viscera1900
#321 - Resident Evil Village Ethan Winters "Obtain all Trophies." Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 6/10 Completion time: 34 hours / 1 week, 17 hours (PSNP) Another year, another new Resident Evil game to play. This time it's a brand new RE title instead of remake. RE8 keeps the visuals & gameplay of RE7, but makes it more fast paced & action packed compared to previous title, also all new environments to explore and survive. You spend most of your time in a village that resembles the one in RE4, but it's visually more stunning and detailed which I really liked to explore, also more inspirations from RE4; inventory system uses the good old suitcase for item management, the merchant/shop system where you can buy healing items, ammo, weapon attachments & upgrades, treasure hunting for valuables to sell. The story wise you play as Ethan Winters again from RE7, so it's recommended that you've played RE7 before tackling this game; it makes lots of references to that game and it might spoils lots of crucial informations/details from RE7's story, so keep that in mind if you want to have the best possible RE7 experience. Trophy wise; it's a decent challenge list to complete thanks to Mercenaries mode, Village of Shadows difficulty mode, speed run, knife only, no healing item trophies. Contrary to popular opinion; I really enjoyed the Mercenaries mode and obtaining S ranks for that sweet silver trophy. I thought it was fun, even more action packed & exciting mode to play. I will definitely revisit this game at some point via PS4 version. 15 seconds before Ethan meets her creator:

Popular Post rjkclarke
Platinum #330 Agents of Mayhem (PS4) Agent of the Month Complete all trophies. I suspect I fell into the exact same trap a lot of people did with this game – which is that they either bought it because the price was incredibly low, or they bought it because it was connected to Saints Row even if it is just a fairly tenuous connection. I almost fall into both of those brackets. I really wanted to like this game, but I’ve never experienced my initial excitement over a game dissipate quicker than a small puddle in a baking desert. I’m going to be completely objective here, for as much as I don’t like this game, and I really don’t, it does have some redeeming features, and worst of all it has plenty of untapped potential, which to me is almost the most egregious thing of all. To me Agents of Mayhem is the single greatest argument for journalists to be required to play the majority of, if not all of a game. Agents of Mayhem on the surface at least, and in its opening hour or so of gameplay - appears to be a fairly exciting and enjoyable open world game brimming with character customisation, varied gameplay from multiple characters and an interesting open world. At least that would be the case, if the game was only an hour long – everything you see in the first hour of gameplay – unfortunately boils down to the entire structure of the game. Not a single relevant thing changes outside of new characters being added across the entire thirty five hours of game-time that this took. It essentially boils down to; take your three chosen agents out into the field, go to a bland uninteresting location, fight some enemies, succeed at an arbitrary objective and then repeat. I know that doesn’t sound too dissimilar to any other open world fare – but the thing is - Agents of Mayhem turns bland and uninteresting into an art form, or at least a canvas coated in some faecal matter, haphazardly thrown by some poor primates that have been used to test hallucinogenic substances on. One of the most puzzling things about Agents of Mayhem is its complete lack of multiplayer component (outside of the connected contracts, which are an illusion of multiplayer). Now – I’d be the first person to criticise a game for having a forced multiplayer element, yet in the case of Agents of Mayhem, it just seems like the most organic thing to add to the game. It would have enhanced the experience tenfold, being able to co-ordinate with two of your friends, and strategise, this might actually have added some much needed depth and enjoyment to the gameplay. Instead what you’re left with are three agents, which you have to manually switch to if you need to utilise a specific ability. This is cumbersome to say the least. The approach to open world elements in this game seem like such a backward step – now, I may be in the minority here, but I find half the satisfaction of open world games is clearing the map of activities. Well, in this game, the activities re-spawn, so you end up with a map full to the brim with constantly refreshing tasks, so instead of clearing the map, instead it just looks like a constant mess. This must have been a nightmare for any poor souls with severe OCD. I don’t think I’d feel terribly bad about spoiling the story in this game – because, well, let’s be real, there practically isn’t one. I’m not going to though, because that’s not fair on anyone who did decide to play this game. I’m going to touch on a few things though. Saints Row has always had somewhat low brow and crass humour, which is fine. I’ve never had a problem with that, in those games, it works and it can be very funny – things don’t have to be nuanced or deep all the time of course, that’d be far too rigid. Agents of Mayhem in my mind at least, commit the cardinal sin of thinking its funny whilst not actually being remotely humorous at all. That’s the baffling thing, it’s got an eighteen age rating, yet the sense of humour of a twelve or fourteen year old who desperately think swearing is hilarious and cool; all the while they are oblivious to the rustling of Tumbleweed trickling past them regularly. To be honest I think the humour is actually one of the lesser problems, the thing I struggled the most with was the borderline offensive cultural stereotypes found littered amongst the entire playable agent roster. If I played a sound clip of Oni’s daughter to a Japanese person, I’d be very surprised if that was met with positivity. The thing is - I think the intention was for the Mayhem Ark’s roster of agents to be fairly culturally and globally diverse, which is a positive sentiment if you actually pull that off, and – well, put some genuine effort into that representation. Unfortunately, it looks like no real effort was actually put into this element, so what you get is a litany of tired stereotypes, almost offensive accents and character back-story that look like they’ve been concocted from someone lazily reading a Wikipedia article on an areas culture or a specific country for all of about five minutes. Whilst we’re still on the bad, I guess I should mention the soundtrack and the sound design – although, not extensively, because practically all of the ambient sound is both lacking and forgettable. Whilst I still remember elements of Saints Rows soundtracks, Agents of Mayhem, just blends into the background and remained innocuous. The sound effects themselves are at least decent, and I think a reasonable amount of effort was put into making each characters weapons sound unique – that’s commendable to be perfectly fair, as it would have been very easy to reuse assets a lot more than they did. So I did say I’d talk about the good right? Well, this game does have its positives for sure, it’s not all a horrendous disappointment, the gameplay itself – and I must stress, this is leaving the open world elements to one side for a second, focusing on the gun play and traversal, those are the games strongest features. For as much as I found elements of this game infuriating, I never once found the combat or the movement boring. Each character, does feel for the most part very unique, each one has their own specific play style and unique skill sets that give them a situational purpose, as opposed to doing the same gameplay quirk another character might employ. Remember I mentioned wasted potential earlier? Well here’s the thing, if the gameplay loop had a little more variety, this game would have been so much more enjoyable to play. The ideal situation would have been to encourage the player to experiment with multiple teams, or lock specific agents into doing specific tasks, that would have made each individual element feel a little more important. However, the games visual style is at least very good; I’ve always personally been a sucker for cel-shaded aesthetics, even if they are only semi-cel-shaded in this games case. For all the criticism I gave to the way the characters may have been portrayed, the character designs themselves are very unique and interesting. It’s actually rather fun to go through some of the character skins and figure out the various video games and movie references they represent. Whilst cutscenes themselves are few and far between, they are incredibly satisfying to look at, they’re almost a hybrid of traditional western animation and anime – if anyone is familiar with the anime sequence in Kill Bill, they aren’t too dissimilar to that. Agents of Mayhem would actually possess a fairly simple trophy list if it wasn’t for the inclusion of the connected contracts. It’s a fairly standard open world kind of list to be perfectly honest. It’s a case of playing through the game at difficulty level seven or higher, levelling up each agent to twenty, doing their personal missions and then collecting all of the shards across the map -something, which from an in universe stand point makes little to no sense, as it’s far easier to get the upgrade cores another way, so ultimately outside of trophies, the shards are completely pointless, these are always the worst kind of collectibles. Essentially the inclusion of the connected contracts far extends the time you’d naturally spend going for the platinum, as you need a minimum of five days to do the fifteen contracts – the problem is, they seem to be a little finicky as I had to do far more than the required amount before the trophy unlocked, my advice to any of you poor unfortunates thinking of playing this game, is to get that done as soon as possible. The only way I’d possibly recommend playing this, is if, like me you were a Saints Row fan and didn’t feel as if your Saints Row trophy collection was complete without playing this game. Otherwise I’d recommend avoiding it like the plague, unless you want to listen to music and podcasts the entire time, which might make the experience slightly more bearable. Don’t be fooled by the low price point (like I was). Sometimes that can lead to a hidden gem, this just isn’t it.

Popular Post MidnightDragon
#74 Cat Quest II This super cute, fun RPG is the sequel to Cat Quest. In this, you play a dog king and cat king trying to defeat those who usurped your throne and end the war between Felingard and the Lupus Empire. Sure, the story's nothing to write home about, but it's still an enjoyable game. If you played the first game, you know what to expect. You can either play solo and switch between the dog and cat or do local co-op.. The side quests are improved this time. The most tedious part will probably be finding all the armor and weapons. If you're expecting a totally different game, you're going to be disappointed. It was fun exploring the new lands. There are some references to the first game, but you can easily jump into this one without having played it. If you explore every nook and cranny, the 100% is easy and you'll likely get most of it during the main quest. And, of course, there are tons of dog and cat puns. I would highly recommend it. Bring on Cat Quest III!

Mr_Wright95
Platinum Number: 86 Difficulty: 0/10 Fun: 5/10* (Easy Mindless Game whilst watching Movies otherwise its not very fun) Review: This Game is a bit of a Blight on my trophy list as it is one of the first games I have played Solely to platinum. It was an "okay" experience that was pretty fast and mindless. It was nice to play something pretty cruisy after the last few bigger and more elaborate games I had been tackling. I got this from my local game store for free as they have 2 week returns and the manager chucked it in my order so I could get free shipping. This is one of the few games I will not keep on my game shelf after having played, but for a quick and free platinum, it was fine. The game itself played like an Up-Res PS1 Platformer. It was weirdly nostalgic but definitely bare bones and pretty poor by todays standards. Whats Next: AFL Live (PS3): Continuing to chip away at the 5k Goals Trophy, about 850 Goals off platinum. Borderlands (PS3): About 2/3 of the way through this game, been enjoying this one and enjoying knocking down my PS3 backlog. Pretty much toward the end of the campaign now. Just need to grind some XP. Need for Speed Heat (PS4): Early Days with this game, but I have Knocked out the Online Trophies
Popular Post snakebit10
#364 October 2, 2021 I got this to break up the monotony of doing all the locations in AC Origins, and ended up enjoying my little time with it. Not bad for just $4. Nothing to taxing, but it did have a little RNG for the last trophy needed for the platinum. Ended up playing many more matches than I had anticipated. #365 October 3, 2021 This is the first game when Ubisoft decided to change up the formula for the Assassin's Creed games. You can still tell it's a AC game, but it took a while into the story to learn how it connects to the AC series. Unless I missed some things during the story it really clicked towards the end. I really enjoyed Origins as far as the story goes and I love the Egyptian setting. The "Old Habits" trophy would bring my overall score down a little. Bayek is a good main character. I really need to catch up on AC games, I have quite a few to go.

Controling Gat is awesome and the jokes and story is fun and fast. The trophies are pretty easy and straigth foward the only one I found tedious was playing 3 hours coop online. I have a fun story with this game, just when I only needed the coop trophy and 20hrs of play I lost the game (physical) 4and half years later I made it xd. Popular Post Undead Wolf
#379 - Lone Survivor True Survivor Collect all Lone Survivor: Director's Cut trophies This is the game I chose to kick of Spooktober this year. Lone Survivor is a 2D survival horror game with pixel graphics. You might think that its retro style makes it less scary than its 3D counterparts, but you'd be wrong. It does a great job of building up atmosphere. Great sound design, creepy monsters, and a story that you have to piece together yourself. It's truly a horrifying world to exist in. Another thing that separates this game from a lot of other horror titles is that you have to keep the main character fed and sleep in a bed when he gets tired, as not doing this things ultimately affects his mental health and will change the ending. You have an apartment that acts as a brief respite from the horrors outside. What's really cool about it is that you can acquire various items from the outside world that allows you to cook, brew coffee, etc. You can even adopt a cat and have it come stay with you. You get a gun near the start of the game, but you can choose not to use it and play as a pacifist instead to get the better endings. I like it when games reward you by making things tougher on yourself like that. The trophies in this game are pretty straightforward so long as you have a guide. It mostly consists of getting the different endings, doing the optional stuff, and making various food items with what you can scavenge. Some of the tougher ones are for stuff like not firing a single shot, beating it on Expert mode, and not using fast travel. The game is only a couple of hours long though, so it's not too bad. You only need 2 full playthroughs, with a few partial ones to get the other endings. Honestly, this is probably one of the better horror games I've played. Don't know why it took me so long to play it.

Popular Post TheArcadeKid
#234 - Panzer Dragoon: Remake I adore Sega, and I adore the Sega Saturn, although I never got into either until several years after Sega had left the hardware business. Panzer Dragoon was one of several games I missed on Saturn - I'd seen a few copies on eBay back in the day, but the price was a bit too steep and I didn't know exactly what type of game I was getting into (I didn't grow up in the age of rail shooters!). So the remake on PS4 is my first hands-on experience with this game, and I was enthralled with my first playthrough. Some say the remake lost the visual identity of the original Saturn release, and I can kind of see what they mean - regardless, the visuals do a fine job of building a memorable world. The music is great, especially for Stage 1, and the overall art direction is very impressive. I don't think the art direction is as clever or timeless as some fans claim it is, nor do I think the game world is especially authentic or 'lived-in.' The game plays out as one continuous flight, broken up between 7 levels, and the transitions between those levels are usually less than convincing. It's not especially immersive. But it sure is satisfying. The gameplay is extremely simple: either shoot enemies down with rapid fire, or paint them with your reticle and unleash a bunch of homing missiles all at once. It's a modest evolution of the true rail shooter - here, you can move your dragon all around the screen, helping you to evade attacks. You can even switch viewpoints 360 degrees, meaning attacks can come from practically any angle. Still, this was a Sega Saturn launch title, and it shows. It looks great (as it surely did back in 1995), and it's packed with action, but the end result feels more like a proof of concept than a fully-realised game. And the trophies? They suck. The hardest trophies are for a) shooting down 70% of all enemies in each level (which you'll probably do your first time, like I did,) and b) beating the game on Hard mode (which is barely a step up from Normal). I would've loved a more skill-based trophy set, one that allows the particular strengths of this game to shine. There's also the ridiculous inclusion of a "Play for 100 hours" trophy. A single playthrough of Panzer Dragoon will take you less than an hour, so this trophy is a joke. Fortunately, you can leave your game on the main menu and you'll still rack up time, but it still took me about three weeks to do this, leaving my console on for 4-5 hours a day. Don't tell Greta. With all that said, this is a great game, and I look forward to playing the sequel, which I hear (and hope) is already in development.

starcrunch061
Plat #454: Dragon Lapis Millennial Story of Bonds Obtained all the trophies. So, this is my first Kemco RPG plat in a while (I was sulking at the shittiness of the tower in Monster Viator that I still haven't completed). And this...is a pretty solid game. Like almost every Kemco plat, this is a breezy, easy 15-20 RPG where you can really overpower yourself. The story is...completely forgettable (there's some stuff about dragons and descendents of some great knight, blah blah blah), but it goes by quickly. Battle is very efficient, and once you understand the leveling system, you will win every battle (including superboss battles) in one turn, just like many other Kemco RPGs. That being said, if you know what "Kemco RPG" means, you already know what you're getting into. Hell, you might already have played this one. If not, I find this to be one of the better Kemco RPGs out there. exe.create doesn't much diverge from its formula, so it will feel familiar. On my scale, I put it below Dragon Sinker (this is Dragon Sinker's sequel), Alvastia Chronicles, and Monochrome Order, but ahead of most other offerings I've played (and solidly ahead of dreck like Sephirotic Stories). The name of the platinum trophy is particularly odd. I don't recall anything having to do with 1000 years. Maybe the characters are supposed to be millennials, and this is the story of their bonds. Whatever. Edited October 5, 2021 by starcrunch061
