Well, maybe not as long as expected. I came across a cheap Crash Bandicoot 4 today so I bought it and swapped it in for Ikaruga for now. Thought it’s worth a mention as I see it’s close to going to Very Rare..

@Copanele Damn it Copanele as promised this is dedicated to you! Try to wrap your mind around this though. I actually enjoyed it.

This game has a ton of problems from bugs to terrible performance. The game has a terrible frame rate and it truly shows in the cities where it gets incredibly bad.

Still by looking beyond the bugs and the bad performance I managed to have fun. It has everything you would expect from a western fantasy rpg. Also the magic system surprised me in a good way.

I admit I'm interested in seeing how Two Worlds 3 will be if it ever escapes development hell.

 

Now I have to put my serious face on to tackle Armored Core Verdict Day.

OK THIS WAS A SURPRISE. I always thought Two Worlds and Two Worlds 2 crash edition were some of the worst RPGs I ever played

Progress Update

Stumbling my way toward tier 2.

 

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout - 100% COMPLETE

So I haven't really been gaming that much lately because I have started studying Norwegian and it is eating a lot of my free time up. But I got word of the current event in fall guys making wins super easy to get. Having previously gotten Infallible using the private match exploit while that was available (I have no shame) I only needed to finish off the trophy Golden Guy getting 20 total wins and Squad Goals for getting a win as a party of 3 or more.

 

With the new temporary mode being team base, 1 round, 3 minute games that award wins both of these were very easy to do. Turns out I had 15 wins already as when I got my 5th Golden Guy popped. Took maybe 40-50 minutes. Though there is some luck involved as being a team game you do still need teammates that are good. Then for Squad Goals I just joined a boosting session here, got added to a group chat and when I got up this morning I saw some people online and we knocked it out. I actually ended up sticking around with one of the guys I did squad goals with and helped him get Infallible (which only took an hour or so) so I ended up doing that legit as well so I don't feel bad at all about cheesing it.

 

Anyways, I do still like the game so I will probably leave it installed and play a round or too here and there. As for other games, I haven't even touched Action Henk so I will probably swap that out as I just don't really feel like playing it. Vanquish I also haven't played in weeks but I will sit down before the end of the month and try and knock tactical challenges 5 & 6 out. I will probably have to skip my Norwegian self studying that day though which is why I haven't done it yet.

 

7 games done, 3 to go. I can feel the end of tier 1 coming up.

Update

 

 

 

With Call of Duty: Ghosts done, my Tier 1 is wrapped up.

 

First some words about Deep Rock Galactic.

It was fun playing and progressing with my team @Arcesius, @Exhuman1988 & @HusKy. The higher difficulties were indeed difficult at first but with better gear and strategies we conquered those as well. I actually had the most fun on Hazard 4 & 5, which are the highest difficulties, unfortunately however are the rewards not that much higher than playing on lower difficulties. So after clearing all trophies except the "grinding all 4 characters to gold promotion" it made much more sense to just do (double XP) missions on lower difficulties.

One night I played alone and found a lobby with 2 other people that were manipulating their systems clock, so we played a specific double XP mission over and over. They have been so efficient that I asked for the time and date and started my own lobbies. A huge grind began and within one week the plat was mine, just in time before Elden Ring released. It was not a fun time but I could not help myself.

 

Call of Duty: Ghosts was my last CoD for the foreseeable future. The campaign was easy and forgettable, luckily no online trophies, except finding some "eggs" on different maps, which we (@Baker, @HusKy & @Koro249) were able to do easily. Exctinction mode, Ghosts take on Zombies but with Aliens instead, was an okayish experience. I remembered not enjoying it that much back on X360 and well, my mind hasn't changed much.

 

 

Since I dont really know how I am going to continue, I just put all my unfinished UR games in my Tier 2 and switch accordingly.

UPDATE: Finished Red Faction. A FPS Shooter from the PS2 era. It blows my mind how great this game is/was. Of course the controls were really weird and I have to get used to it but it's a lot better then the second game I only played the second game back in the day and I loved it but today I would say that the first one is better. The difficulty trophies don't stack that's why you have to beat the game 4 times. "Impossible", the highest difficulty isn't that bad when you are playing it from easiest to the hardest difficulty. An advice for anyone who wants to plat this game. Get the secret rocket launcher and the secret sniper from the early levels. It helps a lot and never forget to save because this game don't have an auto save function, but you can save manually. Which makes this game easier than it is. Without manual saving it would be easily a 9/10 game for me.

 

I want swap 3 games.

Second game in Tier 1 completed, Neon Drive!

 

Neon Drive is my first rhythm based game, it’s an arcade style, avoid the obstacles, move your car across 4 lanes to the beat of an 80’s soundtrack game? I honestly have no idea how to describe it properly  
 

There’s only 8 levels in the game, and 3 difficulties (Normal, Hard & Insane). The only difference in difficulty is the speed of the level. Some of the sequences on Insane require really fast and precise button presses! To fully complete it you must beat each level, on every difficulty, without dying. Overall it was good fun, but it made me realise that my reaction time might not have been as good as I initially thought! Something to work on..

As for my other started games, I only have Impossible Boy left on SMB which I think I’ll return to soon. I played through Splasher once to get a feel for the game and it’s really great, though the speed runs are going to take some work! And Super Rude Bear Resurrection... I think this is going to take the cake as the most difficult game I’ve ever decided to take on! Oh, and it’s currently sitting on 5% if anyone wants to add it to their Tier before it goes any higher!

Hello, here to make my first update since like... forever... yup, this is my first, lol.

 

Before talking about my plat I would like to admit that this has been a lousy year for me ultra rare hunting wise, the Elden Ring hype had me playing soulslikes (which are almost never UR) and replaying Bloodorne and DS3 to no end. That's why after noticing ER will be a massive time sink for me I gave myself an ultimatum: You better finish at least 3 games from the list before thinking about starting with ER. I'd otherwise find myself postponing my list yet again. Anyways, so the first of the 3 is:

Rarity: 2.06%

I started this back when it was given away as a plus title in 2018 but once my European plus subscription ended I decided to buy it recently and since I bought the American version I had to unlock everything again. But no biggies, of course, it definitely helped me relearn this extremely punishing title. 

 

Downwell was such an amazing journey. I loved it but its not without its flaws. The brutal gameplay will often feel unfair and even luck based. 

 

Why is this UR?

Difficult, former plus title, permadeath, somewhat luck based.

 

How hard is the platinum?

Just to give you an idea, the game is like 16 minutes long yet the trophy for beating it on normal is ultra rare...

I think giving it a number (even tho I will, later) is going to be deceiving. Like I said, luck plays a role that is bigger than desired so the difficulty will definitely vary. This doesn't mean you can solely rely on luck, however, skill plays a bigger role here I would say the difficulty is 70% skill, 30% luck. For instance I had the worst Hard-mode attempts this Wednesday: 7 hours of no progress at all, I kept getting the worst upgrades all the time, and whenever a good upgrade would show up I'd get stuck in literally unbeatable scenarios with a handful of elite (red) enemies clustered together, with no way of making it out unscathed. It was so discouraging and I felt like quitting. Next day (yesterday) of course, I decided to give it one more go, and voilá. First try. It really is this unpredictable...

 

Game Rating: 9/10

Platinum Difficulty: 7.5/10

Time to platinum: 25h (skill and luck dependant)

Highly recommended.

Well, I haven't expected my motivation to be so low at the beginning of this year, but who knows, maybe things will turn around. As for Trials Fusion, I guess enough has been said about this game, the long story short - it's all right, very decent, play it if you have a chance

Neon Drive is good and fun, but can get quite frustrating sometimes. If there's one thing that I've learned while playing with others is that some levels that you considerer hard are easy for someone else and vice versa. @Eqill5 said it well here and I basically share the same experience:

There's also a gamemode called "Endurance" that consists in beating all the levels in a row with a timer on top, there's a trophy for suviving for 15 minutes in there, thankfully there's a glitch that makes it a free UR. Doing it legimately shouldn't be that hard with the experience that you get from playing everything else.
