This thread has passed a momentous occasion this past month; officially the THL has passed 10 years old!

The first season ran and created by @Precision-Playyy started on the 10th April 2014 and since then it has had many owners including @Wdjat Prinny Doods, @HcG Clawz, @ShogunCroCop and now @Lucas.

Since then, we have had 200 competitors from 23 countries fight it out over 41 seasons with 76 different Champions and through all the times and changes on PSNP and with trophy competitions, it is still going strong.

 

I have had some great times in this League over the past 26 seasons and have some pretty incredible competition come and go. Even so, I hope that the League can go forward stronger, create great rivalries and more incredible records in trophy hunting.

 

Let's make Season 42 something special.

serrated-banner9's stupid and flawed THL predictions

 

Since  it's that time of the season where we make predictions, I decided to throw my hat into the ring and make my definite flawed predictions that will probably be no where near the final results but hey that's the fun of it all so without further ado, here are my flawed (as in I'm not qualified for this lol) predictions for season 42

 

Plat

1. @NuclearManager - It's a close fight between 1st and 2nd but I think Anorak just beats out second due to his nature of spamming easy games  in large quantities like he did during the team league special but it could either way.
2. @ApriIis - Just barely missing out on the top spot is the leader of the winning team from the team league special, I don't see him beating Anorak's spam but we have seen his team produce some stellar comebacks so who knows? It could go either
3. @Hitman_Spinksy1 - After a monster 1st season, all eyes are on this young aspiring talent to see if he can replicate his success in plat, I believe he will but like most of plat this season he could finish either end of the table but don't underestimate him, he's a force to be reckoned with
4. @steveblazinggrin - There's a reason most if not all of Team aprilis is in plat this season... because they are monsters in scoring points and steve is no different, expect a decent performance from him this season
5. @UnboundedCash99 - the leader of team cash and professional guide writer, probably wants revenge for Aprilis wrecking his team and who knows maybe he will. He has shown that he has the time and energy to score high but can he consistently score higher than others? We will have to wait and see...
6. @ySlifer__ - The last of the people in plat this season who I think have a genuine shot at the title but he will have his work cut out for him as he faces a couple of heavyweights this season, can he go all of the way?
7. @Doylus91 - While I don't think Doylus has a chance at the title, I don't see him fighting to stay up in plat either so I'm predicting a mid-table finish this season with potential for some upsets that could decide the title race.
8. @Sebastian - the last person safe from relegation from gold and I think it will be a battle between 8th and 9th and I think Seb beats out 9th to stay up due to him having more experience in the higher leagues but like the title race it could go either way. 
9. @DEMONICRUBLE18 - The first to be relegated to Gold mainly due to a lack of experience in the top flight. Don't underestimate him though he's got plenty of fight left in him and he could still stay up.
10. @Lucas - The other person relegated to Gold and really doesn't stand much of a chance to survive as most others consistently score higher then him in every fixture but can his Call of Duty and FIFA addiction help him stay up? Only time will tell.

Gold

1. @Arctic Cress - The easy winner for gold for me, one of the two carriers of his team lasts season and I expect him to top the table and get promoted to plat where he belongs.
2.  @Banana_Sausage47 - the other person getting promoted to plat this season is another newbie last season who scored incredible amounts for his team and I think he will carry on his scoring streak to this season and will get promoted.
3. @Prometheous101 - Just barely failing to be promoted in 3rd is Prom who must be running of VR games at this point right? He's still a force to be reckoned with with his numerous obscure VR Games.
4. @Krazy_99 - The leader of the 4th best team last season this man is a force to be reckoned with, while not good enough for promotion, he has the potential to terrorise the mid-table.
5. @Psy-Tychist - The other league admin Psy led his team to 5th place finish last season and I think he will finish 5th again. He's at a crossroads, doesn't score high enough to consider promotion but is strong enough to stay in Gold. Expect a mid-table finish from this veteran
6. @KillerUni12 - A strong mid-field competitor, this man has the power to challenge for a top 4 spot but not really much higher then that unfortunately. Still, expect a solid performance this season
7. @Connie - after a highly unproductive team league special, Connie will be going full force to see if he can challenge for the promotion but I feel like he will fall towards the relegation zone this season but high enough so that he's not a contender for going down to Sliver.
8. @ShinobiMonk - This and 9th was the hardest to rank but I think Monk will barely survive manly due to 9th's unproductive season last season but it will be down to the wire to see who stays up and who goes down.
9. @Jello - Leader of the bottom team last season, Jello has been pretty quiet but no doubt want to have a productive season this season. Unfortunate that I don't see him finishing anywhere higher then 7th and I think he will just barely be relegated to Sliver
10. @Zephyr-pt - Last but not least Sushi, sorry but I don't see him surviving this season especially against heavy hitters against Psy and Krazy but I would love to be proven wrong. Can he perform the miracle and stay up?

Sliver

1. @emzynitro__ - It's close between the top 3 but i think emzy will barely be the champion in what will be a gruelling season for the top 3 but I think emzy will outlast the other 2 and be champion.
2. @GTA_Darren - After being demoted from Plat to Sliver in the redraft Darren will be looking to get back up ASAP, luckily for him I see him managing to squeck by 3rd and get back into Gold.
3. @gazdavis11 - After some steamrolling performances Gaz has slowed down a bit in recent seasons but there's still a lot of fight left in him. The Sliver title could go either way between these 3.
4. @Piezilla57 - After a breakthrough first season Pie has struggled to reach the highs of that first season. However, he's still a capable scorer and will most likly be top half but will fail to get promoted to Gold.
5. @madbuk - A consistent competitor, Madbuk will be fighting for those promotion places but I feel like he will most likely finish in mid-table this season. Don't underestimate him though he could ruin one of the top 3's or relegation fighters seasons if he needs to.
6. @Havoc273 - a decent competitor who will be battening for mid-table this season but could have the strength to go all of the way into Gold. I personally don't see him doing this but who knows it could happen. 
7. @Redbeard-Rik - Another mid-table competitor, Rik will likely be fighting to stay up in Sliver though he is very likely to do so. If he wants to he can go for a top 4 but I think whatever happens he will stay in Sliver next season
8. @serrated-banner9 - Just barely starving off relegation will be myself and I think I will stay up due to this season being in term time for school so I am available most days to score points and I have a few plats lined up for this season (not saying what they are though, that's a surprise) and finally LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga which I put as my golden game this season, between these 3 reasons I think I will survive but it will be tough and down to the wire.
9. @Wdjat Prinny Doods - Prinny has had some disappointing seasons recently and I feel like he will have one this season and get relegated to Bronze but don't underestimate him, this could the season he returns back to form. Whatever happens the relegation battle will be down to the wire.
10. @Meikoro - This fighting game lover definitively has a chance to stay up but less so compared to the others, there is a chance he will put up a solid performance and will stay up but I feel like it's unlikely.

Bronze

1. @Gnillisch - The easiest division for champions, I believe that Gnillish can go unbeaten this season and return to Sliver, not much else to say only reason why he is here is because he hasn't gamed much recently
2. @NandK1998 NandK will be desperate to get back to Sliver but will fight against a strong 3rd but I think he will just barely beat him for promotion, it will go down tot the wire but I think this veteran has what it takes to get promoted to Sliver
3. @UltraDog177 - after somehow forgetting the team league special was on for half of it, Oskar will return with a vengeance, sadly I think he will fall just short and there's a high chance he forgets and gets distracted again, costing him valuable fixtures.
4. @ResidentDarrell - Resident Mid-table will likely have a good showing this season but won't be strong enough to crack the top 3 but still better than the others to go top 4.
5. @Paul_Cesar - One of the 4 newbies this season and he much like the rest of the newbies will have one objective: to prove themselves in this league, these are hard to rank as they could finish either end of the table.
6. @XoX_Sunshine - Another one of the newbies which I have grouped together in mid-table due to not knowing how well they will be in their first season, will we see them battling for promotion? Or will they falter towards the bottom of Bronze? Only time will tell.
7. @TheClownsta - Basically the above two reasons, I ran out of things to say about the newbies. time will tell if they will relish in glory or slip to mid-table
8. @Fysh_Taco - ;-; ran out of ideas to describe the newbies. Can they perform the unthinkable and have two newbies be promoted to Sliver? or will they join 9th and 10th in Bronze purgatory? Only time will tell.
9. @Syr_Rys - Back in Bronze for Syr and I think he will stay there for a while, between the domineering top 3 and 4 newbies he will struggle this season to get into the top half but it's still possible.
10. @freddie1989 - poor Freddie  never have had the strength to challenge the top half and seems to be rotting in Bronze purgatory. Oh well, it's all fun and games right?

There you have it, my flawed predication that will definitely be incorrect by the mid season mark yet alone the final results but at the end of the day it's just all fun and games right?... Right?

Man, I feel old it's been about 1.5 - 2 years since I have joined and I have had a blast. Between the stacked Plat and the Sliver title fight Season 42 will be a blast and memorable season. See you all on Wednesday for fixture 1

Unfortunately, Parappa the Rapper does not count because the top 50 fastest achievers times are under 6 hours (and top 1 time is under 1 hour). The game can therefore not be entered as a Golden Game so you might want to pick something else

I know roughly how many and which seasons each owner has done, but any chance you have the exact number of seasons per owner written down somewhere? 👀 Should've added that to the OP too when I redid the Hall of Fame .

Sorry I was looking at the 8 hour completion on the guide but I did pick it out of a hat. I'll go with Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth (unless we can whitelist Parappa due to how long it takes to complete according to the guide)

I'll look and see but I think roughly Precision did the first 6/7 seasons, Prinny did the next 6/8 seasons, Clawz did about 10, Shogun did 6ish and you've done about 10 now.
