It was an annoying mark to an otherwise fun game. Agreed. That trophy took me many tries to get and was way more difficult than anything else in the entire game. I hate when trophies are like that. My latest platinum was Pic-a-Pix Classic on PS4. Now I just have Pieces left on my Vita which has waaaaay more puzzles. Popular Post bbaauuiiss97
#299 Borderlands (PS4) Getting to play this amazing game again on the PS4 with improved graphics, smooth 60 fps and lots of quality of life improvements is just a dream come true for me. This is by far my favorite Borderlands game, I've been wishing so long for it to get remastered and it finally did I was refreshing the ps store like a madman yesterday just so I could get it as soon as it arrived, and I played it for 15 hours straight because I wanted to be one of the first to earn the plat x)
Popular Post AJ_Radio
Platinum #187: Trine (March 24th, 2019) Difficulty: 4/10 Excitement Rating: 8/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 12 - 13 Hours Hardest Trophy: Better Than Developers! (Complete Tower of Sarek without any deaths on Very Hard difficulty) The first in a series of games from FrozenByte. A failing and decimating kingdom is at hands. But at the Astral Academy, a thief named Zoya seeks to plunder treasure. A wizard named Amadeus is also in the area, trying to learn the fireball spell. A knight named Pontius has sworn to protect the academy. They meet together and touch an artifact known simply as the Trine. Thus, the game begins. Trine is a puzzle platformer, with each character having their own abilities. The wizard can move boxes, make boxes and planks, and can also kill enemies in a pinch if necessary. The thief is the most nimble and agile of the three, having a trusty bow and arrow and a grappling hook to use on wooden surfaces. Finally, the knight is the power horse of the group. He is the strongest and most durable, able to withstand enemy attacks and projectiles with his shield, and attack and cause destruction with his sword and thunder war hammer. The game makes good use of all three characters, and in given situations they are all needed to progress through the levels. The wizard can move wooden boxes and stick them onto spikes, giving Zoya an object to grapple onto and reach a higher surface. This is just one example of many. There are collectibles in the form of potions. Collecting enough of these experience potions levels up your characters, and you can spend the points to make them stronger. The wizard can eventually conjure up multiple boxes and planks, and can even summon a wooden triangle to serve as a grapple point for the thief. The thief can fire multiple arrows, switch between fire arrows and regular arrows, and fire her bow and arrow much quicker. Finally, the knight can grow stronger with his sword, and his powerful thunder war hammer can cause an area of effect, likely killing any enemies around him. In a pinch, he can pick up heavy objects and throw them, destroying destructible walls. I didn't find Trine to be all too difficult, save for the last level which has to be done on Very Hard difficulty without dying. A number of collectibles are well hidden, so I consorted a YouTube guide to find them. Trine has charm, a sense of humor and it's own atmosphere. The narrator does a good job presenting the story and has a calm demeanor. This game doesn't take itself too seriously, which is a breath of fresh air compared to many of today's AAA games that try to be all serious and melodramatic. I will say that the Playstation 3 version of this game is rather dated. The graphics show signs that this is an older game, and it is locked at 30 frames per second, which isn't exactly smooth. The newer Playstation 4 version that comes with a couple extra features is much better, but if you have the original game it's still worth playing. Nothing too difficult, and a game I enjoyed from beginning to end. Platinum #188: Trine: Enchanted Edition (March 27th, 2019) Difficulty: 4/10 Excitement Rating: 8.5/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 10 - 11 Hours Hardest Trophy: Walk in the Park (Complete the game on hard using hardcore mode) This version comes with a few new features, but in many ways it resembles the same game. The background details are much better and this game runs at a buttery smooth 60 frames per second. There is an additional extra level you can play after you beat the game. A new difficulty level is introduced. Hardcore Mode is basically a difficulty level where you cannot resurrect a dead character until you reach the next checkpoint. This can be troublesome if you're not familiar with the levels, but I found this to be fairly easy mostly because I have already played the other version. Trine: Enchanted Edition's trophy list was changed. The annoying trophies All Boxes And No Play... and Footskull Fan were removed. Beating the Tower of Sarek was significantly easier. Compared to the original Playstation 3 version, where the level posed a little challenge, there is absolutely no challenge here, even on Hard difficulty. This may be because the game is at 60 frames per second compared to 30 frames per second on the original version, but even if this game was 30 frames per second it would still be a lot easier. I rarely play one version after the other, but I wanted to get this out of my backlog. This is a fairly easy platinum, and one I can recommend for indie gamers. Popular Post Copanele
No. 48 : The Witcher 3 - Wild Hunt Platinum name : The Limits of the Possible Completion time : 2 Years 2 Months (yeah I know..actual time is more like 2 months or something) Rarity : 9.87% (very rare) Difficulty rate : 6/10 (because of "When it's many against one..." trophy from Hearts of Stone DLC on Deathmarch) Fun rate : 300/10 I guess everyone who plays in this age knows what Witcher 3 is , so I won't get into details about how good this goddamn game is. It's my no.1 favourite game of all times and I don't see it replaced that soon. Being from Eastern Europe(that helps alot with Witcher 3 in-game legends and folklore easter eggs) and playing Witcher 1 and 2 on PC (ain't gonna learn no Polish though ) Witcher 3 was even better than expected. Personally the section I loved the most was the Hearts of Stone DLC. The story was excellent there, loved the characters and the story (honestly the creepiest antagonist in videogames ) + Shani as a special mention. Now, why this game took so long to platinum (2 years and such) is that I played this game without caring about the trophies at all. I just wanted to make my own story and not manipulate my opinion because of some unimportant " DING " , therefore I ended up having all trophies except " Woodland Spirit" trophy because I chose a different path at that quest and simply refused to just change my opinion at that specific moment when I actually checked out the trophy requirements. The past few days while rummaging through my backlog I found that I had only 98% completion rate so....Platinum Achieved
Popular Post Lars
Another small collection of platinums i got recently #180: Drowning This game would be something i would normally do off as very easy and very boring. Unfortunately for me it is also very true, i dealt with depression and i'm still not fully recovered from it. It hurts me to say but it was a rough time the last few years. With some ups and many downs the thoughts you have are almost always negative. I see this game and the game represents it pretty well, like an endless path with no end. And people who talk to you that for you aren't even there. Especially the way you think about yourself is what this game does well, it represents the negativity in someones mind that you have if you are depressed. If you feel this way and you want some help don't feel ashamed but seek help!! Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment 7/10 (not really enjoyable, but because i felt understood i gave it this number) #183: Far Cry New Dawn: This was another game from my favourite franchise, and it was a bit of a let down based on my expectations, I was probably one of the few who really was looking forward to this instalment in the series. I really enjoyed the idea of the RPG elements with the levelled enemies and the base building mechanics. But for me they were way too basic, also the resource gathering sounded great but wasn’t that well implemented because you could find resources only in set locations. I thought you could get any resource from any enemy but that wasn’t the case. The odd thing for me with Far Cry now is that gameplay wise, my two least favourite games were in my 2 favourite worlds. I loved the forests and environment of Far Cry Primal, absolutely breath-taking but gameplay wise there wasn’t enough variation for me, especially in the weapons and approaches you could have there. In this game it is a bit of the same, I absolutely love the world, gorgeous place but the gameplay lacks variation. For me the missions were really fun but there were too many expeditions for example, because everything stacks you basically have to do the same mission 3 times, same goes for the outposts. The enemies were fun too fight though. In the beginning it is a massive challenge to fight level 2 enemies for example. Same with animals, jesus christ these are difficult in the beginning of the game. Running into the path of a bear is instant death if you don’t come prepared. But the only reason I didn’t like the implementation of the RPG elements is the fact that it was easy exploitable, it is really easy to gain perks fast. Doing some expeditions gives you some great resources, and ethanol can be boosted very quick with a couple of outposts. This meant that at 40% completion I already was a powerhouse, I had all elite or level 3 weapons which made the remainder of the game a cake walk. But I still enjoyed the game because it is Far Cry, I always love Far Cry. The carnage you can create is great, the gunplay is always fun. But I have some ideas that would make the next Far Cry more fun then this one. If you could craft weapons of your own creation with items you find ingame that would be great, they could make it more difficult to get resources and reward exploring. Now you could buy maps for the locations, and the rest of the world didn’t matter anymore. So hide big rewards in random unmarked locations of the map. On a side note, for collectibles, I think that Far Cry 4 had the best implementation of a collectible in an open world game with the Yalung masks. They showed the location on the map and when you get there you get an area where the collectible could be so you still have to search, I hope they bring this back. Make more different levels of enemies and maybe even have the ability to level your own character, I know that this would be just a Far Cry: Fallout game but still, this would make the game better in my opinion because I think the Far Cry games have a great base for good RPG elements. I think to be honest that Ubisoft will go in this direction because they did the same with Assassin’s Creed, and I still have to play these. Why can’t I stop time and just play my entire backlog so that I can focus on the new games as well. But to summarise, if you like Far Cry you’ll enjoy this game. It is still a fun game but and it tries some interesting new games which in my opinion are just not good enough implemented, but I have to give Ubisoft credit for the fact that they dare to step off a proven working concept and go in a new direction with their biggest IP’s Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 #184: Sniper Elite 3(PS3) I’m proud of this platinum, the reason for this is that I gave up on it twice and came back twice and finished it. I first gave up after playing a bit of the story and realising that I wasn’t that good at sniping and stealth and I thought the multiplayer was a bit too long. After that I still decided to go for the multiplayer and finished that, I also did the co-op run at that time which was fun but I didn’t do Authentic at that time. Then the game sat in my backlog for 1,5 years, this year I decided to go for the authentic difficulty run, I did it with @Conker which was a good run. Luckily we could use a glitch that made the hud come back so also some aiming assistance. But we did well, we only failed chapter 3 more then twice. After the authentic run I did a 100% run. I got all the collectibles except for one weapon part, and just my luck that is the only collectible that you can’t track and I was so lucky to have missed the weapon part in chapter 1. So after that it was just the DLC and during this time I unlocked one more trophy, and I only had the double marathon trophy left, which was literally 2 minutes of work left. I enjoyed the game a lot, the levels were well designed, with fun objectives and multiple tactical ways of tackling them, if there was a tank, do you go in the open and shoot it’s weakspots or place a mine, they both have advantages and disadvantages. Shooting weakspots can be done silently with sound masking your shots but takes more time and shots, a mine takes out the tank immediately but alerts the whole map so that still means a lot of danger. These kind of tactical decisions is what makes the game fun and leads to a lot of replayability. The most fun thing though are the kill animations or the bullet cam. The ways you can kill enemies is great. The only thing I didn’t like was that going completely stealth was a bit too difficult, even on cadet it was a big challenge to not get spotted. And I thought the XP distribution was a bit strange, for a stealth kill with a knife I would get 15XP, with the Welrod (silenced pistol) usually 20XP, for a full “The A-Team style” loud rifle kill I would get at least 25XP. You would say that the game would encourage stealth but it doesn’t, although I have to say that sound-masked headshots with the sniper give you the most XP. So the game technically encourages stealthy sniping which is logical. The story didn’t interest me that much. But the locations are awesome, fighting your way through villages, mountain passes, an airfield and even a factory with a insanely big tank in it. This leads to some really cool setpiece moments as well. I really enjoyed this game and this may lead to me going back in the series and give the story of Sniper Elite 2 another go. Difficulty: 5/10 (would be much higher if Authentic would be done without glitch and solo) Enjoyment: 8/10

Popular Post DamagingRob
#383- Titanfall 2 Welcome to the 6-4 Earned all trophies. Fun, good looking shooter, and you get to fight in giant mechs! Need I say more? But ...Becomes the Master will be the hurdle you will have to overcome, if you want this Plat. I don't know how long it took me, and I believe I tried some on each of the 3 days I was playing through the campaign. But damn... it is not easy. You really can't have much worse luck than me, either. Times of 33.70, 33.80, and 33.90 when you need 33.65. :/ I think a lucky grenade launcher shot, taking out two enemies at once, is what finally helped me shave off that little bit of time and snag the trophy. #384- Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds Does This Mean I Can Go Outside Now...? Obtained all trophies. KYC Review (it'll be underneath Bulletstorm's), since I'm lazy and don't want to post more thoughts on this. The more thoughts you post, the more you spoil the excellent story, anyways. Extremely long, but an entertaining read. Some of the new routes seemed longer/more fleshed out and better than the old ones, too. #385- Duke Nukem 3D: 30th Anniversary World Tour Hail to the King! Completed all trophies for the game! My 19,000th trophy comes in a game I know and love, Duke Nukem 3D. N64, 360, PS3/Vita, and now the PS4. I've bought this game too many times. This one adds some new levels, though quite a bit less than what was in the Megaton Edition. If I had to recommend one, I would recommend that. But of course, it can no longer be purchased due to delisting.. It also has developer commentary... here and there. It's a shame there isn't more developer commentary, though I can't be sure I even found all that there was. You basically have to scour the level, looking for the little icons that play it. With a lot of levels having none at all. Other than that, it's pretty much classic Duke with an... odd trophy list. I mean, you could just play the final level of each chapter, and then mop up some miscellaneous trophies. Don't even have to play the entire game. :/ And then there are cheat codes, which don't disable the trophies. Though running through walls is a lot of fun, I'll admit. Anywho, I enjoyed this walk down memory lane. Though I wish for an all new Duke game someday.. Popular Post hiflyer555
Grand Kingdom (Vita) So it finally happened. I picked this game up several years ago because I liked the premise. Put it down after a few hours to concentrate on something else. Came back to it, and decided to accept the grind. MONTHS later, finally got the plat! I don’t think I’ve ever been so glad to put a game to rest. I enjoyed it, for sure...but what was an initial 8.5/10 enjoyment, became closer to 4-5/10 by the end. Downhill only because when I thought I’d get close, I’d find out yet another grind was in store just to get a specific trophy or two. Hints for for someone who might consider the plat for this: *power-leveling works wonders for getting you up to speed for later game (several methods out there to achieve this, mostly to do with online wars) *pay attention to the policy points early on (this was my last grind after ALL other trophies...even the 20,000 steps) *its mentioned in guides, but the story is entirely optional beyond the initial tutorial. Vast majority of my time was spent in online wars, and all trophies (with the exception of maybe one or two) can be had by exclusively playing online, if you wish *there’s a google docs spreadsheet which I found very useful: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1klLucvn27CZbI2_wdJbGcuS3sPzIPu2lxfF4Uv8OMeE/htmlview *don’t attempt plat unless you are committed to several levels of serious grind! Also, pray for RNG to be kind to you...it was to me early in the game and helped immensely I’m now going to move on to a couple of palette-cleansing easy plats...(whew)

Popular Post DamagingRob
#386- Conan Exiles To crush all trophies beneath sandaled feet For completing all trophies Well, I had hoped to get some enjoyment out of this, but I really didn't.. Game was just super confusing to me, and didn't really teach you how to play. How do you craft? Where do you get the items to craft? Why am I playing this game? Questions that really had no answers. Wandering around aimlessly, with my boobs flopping around in the wind, could only be entertaining for so long. In the end, ended up watching one of those quick videos and using the Admin Panel to get it over with. But I saved the best trophy for last, and killed an undead dragon, @Dragon-Archon. Popular Post GraniteSnake
131: Grand Theft Auto IV + 100% Feels great to finally pick up the platinum for this gem. Having put off the multiplayer for almost 9 years, I can safely say that it was nowhere near as daunting as I was expecting it to be, mainly due to @ProfBambam55's incredibly detailed multiplayer guide. It's definitely a lot more time consuming that it is difficult. It's been almost 8 years since I completed the main campaign to 100%, and nearly 3 years since I managed to score 100% in all of The Ballad of Gay Tony's missions. Not much to say about either of the three campaigns other than that I have very fond memories of this my time spent on all three of them, especially the original campaign. I must have easily completed it at least 5 times, and I would say this is one of my most played games on the PS3 (Single-player wise). Three Lear Clover (the bank robbery) is one my favourite missions in the entire series! Revisiting this game once again to finish off it's multiplayer felt odd. At first I thought the game aged horribly, but after spending a lot of time with it it really wasn't that bad. The only real problem I had was when I was travelling at high speeds.. the screen becomes one big blur! The biggest grind was probably completing all 108 of the races, and even that wasn't that bad. I'm one of the few(I'm guessing) who actually enjoyed the driving mechanics/physics in GTAIV. The radio stations remained as appealing as ever, and I even added a few songs to my spotify playlist as a result. Fly the co-op was the only difficult aspect of the multiplayer grind, and it honestly didn't feel that difficult at all. Three of us got all three of the missions done within a couple of hours, with 'Deal Breaker' causing us the most issues. After that was done, all that remained was to reach rank 10, and while it was annoying having to reset the 'Happiness Island' glitch every hour, it was the easiest option out of the three provided. My first sub 1% platinum, and I imagine that this will remain as my rarest platinum for quite some time. Delighted to finally have this sitting at 100% after an entire 8 years and 8 months ? #132: Ben 10 A very simple and straightforward game that presents a bit of a challenge due to some annoying trophies mixed in with a non-existent checkpoint system. The game consists of a whopping 6 levels, all of which can be completed in roughly 10-15 minutes each. I actually don't think I ever watched Ben 10 as a child, so it's premise was all pretty new to me. There wasn't exactly much to the story anyways. You play as Ben, who can transform into aliens in order to defeat your foes. By the end of the game you have a choice of 10 aliens, with Heatblast being the most versatile/overpowered option, especially when upgraded fully. You basically end up mashing square for the majority of the game. There is some light platforming mixed in, but nothing too extreme. There is a few awkward trophies, such as throwing a specific enemy into a group of enemies and killing a certain amount of them. You're also tasked with completing each level within 15 minutes each, but there was nothing difficult about this. The main difficulty comes from defeating the final boss without getting hit. What makes it worse is that there is no checkpoint system, meaning you have to play the entire level before you have another chance at taking him on. It proved mildly difficult, and took me a handful of tries before I eventually succeeded. There isn't anything special about this game, and I can't imagine fans of this series being overly pleased with the game either. There is far superior games out there!
Popular Post blu3st4rdust305
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice- PS4 (#191) "Done" That was a hell of a ride. After getting thru 5 God of War games, it was interesting to see a very different take on a similar story: an individual having to endure extreme trails and strife to save someone. The similarities go further in that Hellblade is also a hack and slash game with platformer/puzzle elements, high fidelity graphics, lofty production values, and an other-worldly adversary. I will avoid spoilers, as I heavily recommend this game to anyone with the stomach to explore its heavy themes and imagery. It is a work of art in many ways. The story telling, pacing, sound design and world building are excellent. The game is best played in the dark with head phones. The immersion can be exhausting, as it certainly demands a great deal from your focus and drive. The combat system was meager but sufficient. I am glad they did not bog the story down with multiple weapons, power ups, etc, even if that led to sacrificing a bit on the fight sequences. The traversal was also a bit lacking in that I do not understand why I had to hold down a button to have her move at any appreciable speed. The puzzles generally had the same goal but had clever and variant solutions. You spend a great deal of time attempting to open doors locked by runes. You have to scour the world to find the shapes to open the door. Ultimately, the developers fearlessly attempted to depict a challenging subject matter and succeeded.

Popular Post Ala-Arska
Metal Slug Anthology Metal Slug Master Unlock all trophies Welcome to the 90's! When you've got the best and newest gaming console money can buy, and the games you play look like (or are!) 20 years old... The original Metal Slug is even older than that, dating back to 1996. Even the last one in the Anthology, MS6, is no spring chicken (2006). Spanning across seven titles (MS1-6 and MSX), there's a bunch of running 'n gunning, enemy fire and evil aliens in good 'ol arcade style. Which means you die a lot. Luckily there's infinite amount of continues if you want so, since PS4 surprisingly doesn't take quarters Getting through every game with less than 5 continues does suck balls though. Mainly 'cause of laaaaaaaaaggggg. Controls are unresponsive at best. There's latency (or lag, or whatever) in every input, which means you must foresee those enemies at all times. And this ain't exactly Matrix, and your guy sure as hell ain't Neo. Don't even think about dodging those bullets with grace...and in cool slo mo So, either you bite the bullet (nah, just dodge it) and try and try, or play with a friend, or use the two-player trick mentioned here in forums. I used a combo of those. All except MS5 and MS6 were familiar for me from way back, so those were relatively painless when played with my eldest one. The latest ones I had no knowledge of, so the trick helped to do the trick (P.S. MS6 was actually easy with only 4 levels) Despite the horrible non-existence of controls, I still found the animation lively and grandiose in true 90's style and music catchy and MTV~y. Gameplay and "plot" was the same in all MS's, so one could say it's just playing through the same game seven times. And one would be right. If not for the technical problem, I'd recommend Metal Slug Anthology for everyone. Now, only nostalgia and pure fandom can salvage this Edited April 5, 2019 by Ala-Arska

The Gulp fight actually gave me some trouble! But I have to confess that I am starting to grow weary of the "Find 10000 gems and some number of other collectibles". I'll still enjoy Spyro 3, but will be perfectly happy to close the book on the Spyro after that. What great looking trophy tiles, though!
Popular Post DEsIx_KaerO
#182 - DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition Definitely easier than PS3 version, they really nerfed a lot of the trophies, thank god i didn't have to grind those 5,000 kills again ;d
