Popular Post BadRep24
PLATINUM #29: Touhou Double Focus Gensokyo Pulitzer Prize Obtain all trophies. Difficulty: 5/10 Fun: 8/10 The good? Side-scrolling game with some great characters, including Aya Shameimaru and Momiji Inubashiri, each with unique style of combat. The bosses actually gave me a challenge, especially that you have to beat them under a specified amount of time for their trophies, typically in seconds. Plus, beating them without taking damage is one minor inconvenience to deal with. However, it's not missable. Then, beating the game without saving and without healing. The other was to beat the game in Time Attack mode within the 1-hour time limit, which reminded me of DEADBOLT's Famine trophy. The bad? The controls suck ass and the game can crash, which makes your no-save run a little harder. I can play the game properly, but Aya, who has wings, can't even move while flying, whenever I press the button! This makes no damn sense! She flops like a damn freaking bird in a mental hospital who does not bother to move an inch or two, until the yellow bar runs out, which recharges after using it. What a way to give me another insufferable headache. Edited June 21, 2020 by BadRep24

Popular Post eigen-space
Platinum #112 - Silence Master of Silence, 22.44% Rarity Difficulty - 1.5/10 , Time Spent - ~10 Hours , Enjoyment 6/10 Silence tells the story of Noah and Renie who are caught in their dream world, Silence, after being bombed during an air strike. Are they able to make their way through Silence back to reality, or are they fated to remain in Silence forever? Silence is a basic point-and-click game made by Daedalic Entertainment. I was actually very suprised by this game considering that I've played the studio's other major game series-- Deponia-- which is quite a bit different. First off, the artwork is stellar; landscapes are beautifully hand-painted and the character models look great. The puzzles within the game are also much more straightforward than those in Deponia... most items are used exactly how you'd expect them to be used and don't require a ton of creative thinking. The story was a bit lacking for me, though. The two main characters are fleshed out pretty well, but the 3 side characters could have used some work. Perhaps it's because I didn't play the first game in the Silence series (it was only released on PC about a decade before this one), but the story seemed to have some gaps here and there. The game kind of reminded me of the movie Pan's Labyrinth a little bit with having a grim reality set in wartime while having the children escape to a beautiful, fantastical world between life and death. Overall, I think this game is worth playing. None of the trophies are particularly difficult, especially if you're following along with the walkthrough on PST, and it will provide some solid entertainment for several hours.
Popular Post Darghel
#73 The Dark Soul (Dark Souls: Remastered) Difficulty: challenging with frustrating bits Time to complete: 2.5 playthroughs for a total playtime of 62 hours Recommended: Yeah! Definitely worth a check! Total Score: 10/10 So, while I was playing this game, there was the announcement of the Demon's Souls Remake for ps5 and I took this as a sign that I had to finish this game and after 62 hours split in 2 and a half playthroughs (only reached Anor Londo for the blacksmith), I managed to grab the last weapon and get the plat, and damn what a ride it was: Dark Souls is easily one of my newest favorite games of all time now and I feel like I enjoyed this more than bloodborne (and that game is amazing on its own right). But the game is far from perfect and I can't lie that I had my fair of frustrating parts and I felt it wasn't just a bad programming error or something, but more like bad ideas that made the game annoying and frustrating rather than hard (like how the tomb of giants is short, but being in the dark it makes it all the more annoying to travel through). And personally, at least in my first playthrough, the game was actually fairly easy for me! Besides a few bosses that legitimately took me a while to beat (Capra Demon was annoying because of the dogs and tight space), I could beat almost all of them in one or two attempts at worst and since most bosses don't really have phases, it's really easy to learn the patterns...but then NG+ comes and oh boy the game gets a lot tougher now! Bosses that I took no time to kill now were suddenly beating me! Finally, it was getting exciting...and also frustrating, as it was showing the problems with the game such as messy hitboxes (i would dodge and yet the grabs and special moves would get me...what?) and enemies being so spammy that weren't allowing you to even dodge or attack (looking at you Gwyn! I had to learn to parry just for beating you damn it!). This is where I was saying it felt like it had bad ideas on it since dodging is very finicky and 5 times out of 10 it wouldn't work well, even if I used the same timing as before, i would just get hit or grabbed. Anyway, beyond those issues, I also have "other" issues...I mean I never played the original but this is a remaster, and yet it looks really bad and the menus are...beyond bad really. I'm glad I got it for cheap but if I paid this at full price, and knowing that not much was changed, I would feel ripped off. I'm glad I got to play this game but as a remaster it really doesn't look like one I'm still glad I got to play this and knowing demon's souls is coming to ps5, I guess I have a reason to look forward to it (especially after losing my chance to grab a copy of Demon's souls months ago before the pandemic...what a missed opportunity "sigh") Edited June 27, 2020 by Darghel
Popular Post Zircon_Lotus
Platinum #93 Enslaved: Odyssey to the West Look at this picture. What words would you use to describe it? I would use boring, ugly and unpolished. Coincidence or not, those are the same words that I would use to describe my experience with Enslaved. This game is very bad, it looks like shit. The only time it looks decent is on the last cutscene right before the credits. Now, if it was a general issue of the game, would be one thing, but the Xbox 360 version looks fine. Actually, it looks very good for a 10 years old game. If it was to make a lazy port, maybe would be better if this game was never released on Playstation. The textures take too long to load, you can clearly see many of them been loaded during cutscenes. There are many places where you will experience fps drops. During the final part of the last chapter was like I was playing this game on a low end PC, unacceptable. And to make things worse, the controls are just as bad. Sometimes my inputs seemed to not register, other times it would take too long for Monkey to react. The combat is very simple and boring, there is no variety of moves and enemies. The story is bad, and the female lead is extremely bossy and annoying. The only thing I can praise are the faces. For some reason they are very well done. Unlike the rest, they look fine, and the moviments are very realistic. The platinum is a short and easy one. Play the game on hard to save your time. You only need to be patient, because enemies take long to die, and know when to stun or swipe enemies to have a breathing room, nothing else. There are not even that many fights, and most of them are with few enemies. The real hard trophy is the one to get all tech orbs. Those orbs, red floating balls of light, are scattered throught all chapters except the first. You use them to upgrade your status, and they are also dropped from enemies, but only the ones found throughout the levels count toward the trophy. The majority is in plain sight, but some of them can be a bit frustrating to find for two reasons: the first, because of the shit tier graphics, this game is too bright, so the orbs tend to blend in. I used a video guide that was recorded from the 360 version, and they are much more visible there. The second reason is because, sometimes, they disappear. If you're a bit far from them, they vanish, and if you dont get close, you will miss them. This is probably the reason for so many glitched orbs threads that you can find online. Personally I didnt have problem finding any of them using a video guide. The other trophies are story related and miscellaneous one. I got almost all of them naturally, the ones I had to farm didnt take more than a few minutes to get. Winning the race, and the trophies related to chase are all very easy too. In the end, I wish I had a good experience with this game. There was a time when I had finished everything that I wanted to play for the PS2, and was stuck with a PC that couldnt run properly many games, and the almost endless wait for the release of the PS4. Sometimes I would try to find something new, only to be disappointed, because almost everything was only on PS3 or Xbox 360. Enslaved was one of the games that I wanted to play, and all the praise that you see online only made my desire bigger. I dont know the state of the PS3 library around October 2010, because I cant understand how someone can enjoy this mess, or say this is a gem and one of the best avaiable for the console. Stay way from this game, there are better options out there, be them from 10, 5 years ago, or from more recent times.
Popular Post yellowwindow7
The Horned Boy / Shadow of the Colossus i never saw myself getting the platinum trophy the first time i played this remake, because way back when i played the original ps2 game i really hated the speedrun parts and this game hide most of it's bonus contents behind speedrunning ( even on this day and age i still have a grudge against speedrun trophies ) i only played this remake because i got it as a plus monthly game and wanna see what have changed in comparison to the original and of course the Nostalgia. i never touched the speedrun stuff in the original but i gotta say that this game surprisingly have the easiest speedrun trophies or requirements from all the games i ever played, i mean the required goal time is really good and even if you messed up you still can beat the game way under the required time even if you didn't try to be fast. the game's world is really big and would have been cool if they forced you to go exploring this world to get the bonus stuff like the swords and bows and all of wander's capes and masks instead of ( beat the boss rush mode on Normal, then at Hard difficulty then go on a full playthrough on hard difficulty and beat it under 5 hours ) my only takes on this remake is the controls of wander and the free camera, while i do know that a lots of people have hated the horse controls but to me that one will get a pass since Agro... your horse is like a real life horse she have a mind of her own and think differenty than you, but the clunky controls of wander and the camera angle did not been touched like the graphics and performance do, it stayed exactly the same from the original ps2 game as they just swap the buttons roles. this one here does not affect the gameplay/trophy progression in general at all but it's just personal issue... i freaking beat the game on the hardest difficulty possible under 2:50:00 hour and still didn't unlock all the artworks and such because the game wanted me to play it again on easy and normal difficulties and beat the colossi " all of them " again on those lowkey difficulties, why? when i beat a game on the hardest difficulty i really don't feel like going back to the lower ones, the game just won't have the same fun you had on the higher difficulty. after all these years, killing those colossi still feel sad to watch even though they are an EVIL souls.... but man, Agro falling off that broken bridge still to this day get's to me every freaking time ? Popular Post The Arizona Ranger
Platinum #6 - Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped (June 21st, 2020) First Trophy: July 2nd, 2017 (earned Taking The Scenic Route) Final Trophy(s): June 21st, 2020 (earned Boo-yah, Grandma! Boo-yah!, popped The N.Vincible Crash Bandicoot! upon earning) With the official reveal of Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time coming tomorrow, I decided to put forth the effort earlier today to knock out the final two trophies in Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped in order to pop the platinum trophy. I got up to 46 gems in order to get Fake Crash to show up so I could get the Accept No Substitutes trophy. I also had to get the three sapphire relics in my collection up to gold relics along with getting the gold relic in Rings of Power in order to pop Boo-yah, Grandma! Boo-yah! for the final trophy. Platinum Difficulty: 5/10 (took a lot of work to get all 30 gold relics, all 47 gems (clear + colored), and all 25 crystals for a final completion rate of 107%). Was It Fun To Platinum?: It was, for the most part. Outside of a few near-misses on getting the Gold Relic on a few levels that pissed me off, I had fun putting forward the effort towards getting the platinum. Would You Recommend This Game To Others?: Yes. The original Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped (PS1 - 1998) was a fun experience back in the day, and Vicarious Visions did a great job remaking the game for the current console generation. Popular Post Deluziion90
Platinum and Milestone #300 - The Last of Us Part: 2 Every Last One of ThemCollect all trophies Fun: 8/10 Difficulty: 3/10 - Played on Moderate no assist. Time to Platinum: 3 days, 3 hours It's really hard to rate this game at it's current state. We all know about 1 and what a huge success that game was but this game. It's just hard to rate is. Graphics, gameplay, leveldesign, sound it's all a big 10/10 for me it's really pushing the ps4 to it's limits but the story is such a big pile of bullshit. I can see what the directors wanted but they executed it in so many wrong ways. Ending spoiler thought's You're warned!: Spoiler Killing Joel like he was a clicker and just slapping him with a golf club, spitting on him it just felt wrong. So yes the developers did a good job on us wanting revenge and if that's what they wanted for us to feel good job but fuck you for letting us play the other 50% with Abby. They let us see how she is nice to kids and just being on overall nice person. But just fo with that bullshit after we saw her butchering Joel.. The ending was somewhat ok. I really thought Ellie would die but she didn't. But why would you let Abby live. You killed everyone on your path for revenge just to let Abby go and lose everything in the process. This game just felt wrong..

Popular Post Phoenix_argentea
Platinum trophy No. 172! Mega Man Zero / ZX Legacy Collection Ultimate hero My second Mega Man platinum trophy, after the MM 11! This is a collectoin of the Spin off games based on Zero: the first 4 games were released on the Game Boy Advance, while ZX and ZX Advent were released on the Nintendo DS. Even if they seem old (especially the ones published on the GBA), the pixel art on a TV is really nice and, unlike the classic Mega Man games, here the main character (Zero) has two weapons: the Z-buster (the classic "cannon") and the Z-saber (the sword, and I always used this weapon!), together with something more across the different games, like a boomerang-shield (which I used only for as mission). These games cna be hard, really hard, but thankfully there's the save assist mode, which adds checkpoints in the levels, and these ones are really a gift from heaven. I can't imagine playing these games without them: you die, then you're sent back at the beginning of the level... No, the assist mode adds infinite retries without losing a single life (which are useless), but in this way the games are less frustrating, especially when you fight the bosses. You need to learn their pattern and discovere their elemental weakness (ice/thunder/fire), so you'll die a lot of times. But also some platform section are quite difficult, full of spikes and/or pits (which mean insta-death), or really annoying, like the sub-tank in K lava area in ZX. Also the story is quite interesting, especially during Mega Man Zero 3 and 4 (the last one is my favourite!). I mean, I couldn't believe there was such an epic moment! While Ciel is screaming "ZEROOOOOOOO!!!" and there's this music: Yes, you clearly know that this is the final battle And you finally know you've reahced the ending of this games when you see this final scene ? But ZX and ZX Advent are quite different, since theyìve a open world structure. Actually, I think that ZX is the worst of the collection, simply because the huge map is quite confusing. I needed to print the map because I kept getting lost or I didn't find the right way to reach a new area... ZX Advent was much better, but there were so many different abilities... And now the most difficult trophy: the Z-chaser Running the gauntlet, which means speedruns through 12 (+1) levels. 2 levels for every game (normal and hard) where you need to achieve at least S rank and beat a "ghost opponent" (and there are also Z and ZZ ranks!). Luckily it didn't glitch (maybe because I always played with double screens...), and most of them aren't really difficult, since the levels are short (3-5 minutes), but two levels are quite difficult: - Mega Man Zero Hard: Neo Arcadia Core. This one is tough. If you miss the first two jumps, you'd bettere restart the run. The first 4 bosses battles can be RNG based, because, if they use some EX skills, they're invincible and you're wasting precious seconds. I had a very good run almost ruined by the 6th final boss, because I kept missing the final blow: jump, charge, hit, he misses the bosses . Twice. And I also falled in the pit... But I managed! - Mega Man ZX Advent Hard: Ouroboros (no, it's not Falcom Legend of Heroes!). This one is tough and long, 17 minutes, with 8+2+1 bosses! Here you need to rely on your Z-saber and destroy every boss with the spin dash! But the 13th hidden level is a good surprise, and also easy! And finally the platinum screenshot in the main menu! But I think this collection deserves much more! Edited June 22, 2020 by Phoenix_argentea
Popular Post Tianna_Mortis
It's been awhile, so I'm behind on updating my platinums. Mainly I've been working on trophy cleanup on games I'm only a few away from platinuming. Platinum #31: Minecraft Storymode Season 2 Jesse Victorious Completed Minecraft Season 2 Thoughts: A much better story than the first one. It wasn't as slow, in my opinon. Platinum #32: The Sinking City All Evidence Collected Complete every challenge the city of Oakmont has to offer. Thoughts: A cool game, but I got a little bored with the research methods after awhile of going through archives. It was hard not to lose interest based on that system alone, even after I got fed up and started looking up the proper search terms. Platinum #33: World of Final Fantasy True Grymoirian Obtained every trophy. Thoughts: Loved this game! Leveling up the 100 mirage boards in the end was a bit tedious, as grinding usually is, but the true ending is by far the cutest ending to a game I've ever seen. Platinum #34: Mortal Kombat 11 Elder God Komplete all trophies Thoughts: I've been sitting one away from Platinum on this one for about a year thanks to the strategy tutorial. In my opinion, they made that one needlessly complicated. I would work on a couple of the modules, get frustrated and put the game in time out for a couple of months before attempting it again. However, with Aftermath about to come out, I finally just sat down and got it done earlier in the month to get some practice in. As a result, my hands were cramped for two days, lol. Platinum #35: Life is Strange - Before the Storm Bring on the Storm Complete all other trophies Thoughts: I always liked Chloe the best out of the girls in Life is Strange, so this chapter was a welcome change from Max's perspective (I didn't really care for Max). I had always wondered about her relationship with Rachel Amber, so getting to see their relationship blossom was wonderful. Popular Post snakebit10
#309 Far Cry New Dawn This is a sequel of FC5 and I am going to say this was more enjoyable than 5. I am not saying 5 is a bad game, but it just didn't click with me like other Far Cry games did. I like the twins and the highway men as antagonist better than The Father from 5. They were more typical FC antagonist. A lot remains the same with gameplay, but there are some new things. I like the addition of the expeditions. All though they are short missions and most of them you can run in, grab the package nd run to the extraction point with minimal combat. I hope they use them again and maybe expand on them. Overall an easy platinum. A couple trophies gave me some difficulty. Pure Ninja and Anger Management. For a game with a high completion percentage those 2 trophies gave me a bit of trouble.
Popular Post DamagingRob
#461- Shadow of the Colossus (PS4) The Horned Boy Acquired All Trophies Couldn't turn down the chance to replay one of my all-time favorites, with a shiny new coat of paint. It does look gorgeous compared to the PS3 version. And the colossi have never been... fluffier. The grind for maximum stamina and health is pretty brutal, though. I don't think it felt as bad on PS3, because you had to collect the fruit and lizards. Which made the colossi grind a lot shorter. And thank goodness there's a way to get on a hawk without being on the horse. I don't know if I ever would have done it, otherwise.. Platinum image: Spoiler I like turtles.

Popular Post DoctorGameGeek
#15: Enter the Gungeon Difficulty: agreed with the trophy guide, 8/10 easy No lie. I haven't played a bullet hell game like this in a very long time. It was hard at first to aim with the right stick since the default is for all ammo to have built-in inaccuracy (glaring at you, Pilot). I hit the wrong trigger button countless times, either diving into pits or dodge-rolling right into enemy fire. My in-game record shows 67 deaths, but that's because I often quick restarted instead of letting the game get me with that final blow. I think the PS4 controls on this game are rather solid. I joked constantly about holding my breath, trying my damnedest not to get shot in a boss fight. That said, despite dying a bunch and having to grind more than a handful of trophies, it really surprised me in the end that I had virtually all of the floors and most room patterns memorized. Just when you think you're ready to give up on the game, you'll either unlock a badass special character or a gun or passive item that quickly ventures into game-breaking territory. It's like a sweet reward for suffering so many close calls, I guess. Enjoyment: 10/10 My PS4 friends could tell you -- I have not put down this game since I started it. The gameplay is addicting as hell. Even after a while, the grind seems to go by almost ignored. You have to complete the game at least 50 times minimum, and the RNG is low enough so that you're forced to choose which goodies are still missing in the Ammonomicon. Speaking of which, I'll take a break from ETG for a while but will pick up the game again to complete the book.
Popular Post BadRep24
PLATINUM #30 & MILESTONE Complete Obtained after getting all other trophies. Difficulty: 4/10 Fun: 8/10 This game is not bad, but most of it will leave you bored, since most of the things you do will be repetitive, including grinding for Alchemy level 50 and Adventurer level 50. The main character is lovable, but it says otherwise on me. Regardless, the battles are okay, and I have no qualms about it. The alchemy system is okay, but nothing piqued my interest, for the most part. The 12 assignments are on a strict time-frame and require 10 stars. If you want to get the True Ending you need 100 stars (10 of 12 assignments). Plus, Esty requests are a way to increase Town Popularity, and if you want to go to True Ending, you require to reach 100% of it. It starts to get boring within the latter half of the game, if you don't have the patience to watch an endless barrage of cutscenes. The enemies are easy, if you have high-leveled gear, but that doesn't mean the three super-bosses (Demon Lord, Ozean Kaiser, and Wyvern) will be. Don't be fooled. Always save before these battles, plan your attacks, power up, and be prepared, because you don't know what crap will throw at you and your team. I hated the other mini-bosses (Iron Giant and the Demon), because if you and your team dies, you have to wait 2 in-game months for them to respawn! I always save at those battles, because my patience always runs short to wait for something as idiotically dumb as these two. Even if the game is kinda old at this point, I had a lot of fun. The story was forgettable, but the gameplay really shined and kept me going. The gunplay was fluid and really fun and it was also really cool to explore the map. Which game would you recommend going for now in the Far Cry series? Even if the game is kinda old at this point, I had a lot of fun. The story was forgettable, but the gameplay really shined and kept me going. I have heard it feels pretty dated at this point but it was a great game. I actually liked 5 better than 4 too so you can’t go wrong (but 4 may hold a special place for you since it was your first experience). I need to get around to New Dawn. Soon, soon.
