Popular Post Sylvanticore
Resident Evil Village [PS4] #33: Ethan Winters Obtain all Trophies. Oh man, when I started this up I thought to myself that I'll get half way through it and then just stop playing like I have so many other games I've played lately, but NO, I have enjoyed the ever living hell out of Resident Evil 8. I've played through the game at least 4 times now, my first playthrough, my collectables and other trophies playthrough, my knife only which I enjoyed! and the Villiage of Shadows playthrough, all of them I enjoyed even if VoS kicked my arse a few times. However the Mercenaries mode really killed my mood for this game, it was enjoyable but the hard mode levels were not pleasent but thanks to some Youtube videos I was able to do it and now I have the first of 2 RE8 platinums, now to get the PS5 version done and then get the PS5 version fo Terminator Resistance done!
Popular Post xxEliteCDxx
Platinum # 78 - Nickelodeon Kart Racers Getting to play Nickelodeon Kart Racers was a nice opportunity to catch up with certain famous characters from some beloved cartoon series of the past! It was a basic kart-racing game, with a relatively decent roster of characters (12 playable characters in total). The trophy list is straight-forward! Popular Post MonsterCondo
Ethan Winters Obtain all Trophies Finally, after crying blood because of the Mercenaries mode, I finally got it. It is an excellent game, but in my personal opinion, the mercenaries mode is really.. bad. At the end, I really recommend this game. 8/10 Edited May 20, 2021 by MonsterCondo
Popular Post erickt123
A distant gap between two platinum trophies but given the games in question, may as well: #68 - Ratchet & Clank (2016 Remake, PS4) Spoiler I remember looking forward to this remake, I loved the original Ratchet and Clank on the PS2 so I was hoping that even with the changes in demographic and difficulty, the game would still be fun and have a somewhat decent story. I got basically none of that at all, what I got was a shallow husk of a game that has none of the spark the original PS2 game had. I am not saying this just because some YouTube video essay says all this, I really find a lot of this game to be...uninteresting. The gameplay is basically a standard Ratchet game focused on third-person shooting and...nothing else. It's not like the original where platforming had a heavy focus, nor is there any interesting game mechanics like Crack in Time has. This game is just shallow and besides bringing some things from the original game like hoverboard races and the Hologuise, it still feels half-baked when you factor in the cut planets like Orxon and just how lifeless this game feels. Seriously, why are the animations here so bad, why is the humor so bad even being a "kids game", why is there very few (and engaging) one-off characters? I got the game for cheap around Christmas, and while it was fine to blaze through for two playthroughs, after getting all the trophies I just stopped playing the game as is. I'm sorry but this is one of the worst Ratchet games I have played right next to All 4 One and Full Frontal Assault. #69 - Ratchet & Clank (2002 Original, PS3) Spoiler The original Ratchet and Clank is a rough game to play compared to its sequels, especially since the remake is very easy and clean to play. It has been described that the original game is more of a platformer with some shooter elements while future Ratchet games have been molded to be the opposite. Some games like Quest for Booty and Crack in Time mix things up more with platforming but that's getting far ahead of myself. Despite rough gameplay and missing features that later games would have, the first Ratchet game is still my favorite game in the whole series. Sure it looks dated in some areas but worlds feel alive in this game, there are ships flying above the levels, lighting is so well done, levels are jammed packed with content, which helps hide how actually short Ratchet is if you only blaze through the required missions. Of course, I always go with completing every mission, even in challenge mode playthroughs. With trophies in mind, it's all skill points here, buying everything like the R.Y.N.O and Gold Weapons, and of course getting 1 million bolts in all your playtime (not at once, thank goodness). Getting everything requires grinding bolts (obviously) and unlike the later games where getting 1 million bolts takes no time thanks to a multiplier, you'll have to do around 4-5 playthroughs of this game, assuming you play through every mission and replay through some areas multiple times in the meantime. I got the trophy when I got 376k bolts early in my 5th playthrough of the game, so it will take a bit of playtime to get this trophy without using any glitches. Sure you get basically double the bolts in challenge mode but it's still nothing compared to the amount of bolts you can rack up in later games. A first playthrough of Ratchet was challenging for me, you don't get a ton of bolts so it was nice to decide if I wanted a weapon now, save up for another weapon, buy ammo that can be costly like ammo for the Visibomb, or consider getting at least one gold weapon before going to the last few levels. Each weapon stands out and has a unique use to it, it's not like the remake where you could just use one weapon for the most part even on a first playthrough, or so I feel it was like that. Now obviously challenge mode playthroughs are easy to blaze through since you'll have more gold weapons to use and eventually get the R.Y.N.O., but the first playthrough sure brings a challenge future Ratchet games kind of don't have, especially with limited health points that you can only upgrade at one point in the game and have to pay bolts for. And even then, you likely only have enough bolts for one health upgrade to have 5 hit points instead of the normal 4. Overall, while it is not the most fluid Ratchet game to play, the first game surprisingly holds up well for me, and I still love this game's story, some of the jokes here never gets old. Also, the Visibomb is still one of my favorite weapons in the Ratchet series, doesn't need a gold variant to still be good! One last thing, get that Code Bot at the end of game in Drek's Fleet, go back to Quartu to open that door with the Gold Bolt, and you will get 15k bolts instantly the moment you enter the room and start breaking the crates. Any step to get bolts faster is always a good one for the 1 million bolt trophy grind. Edited May 21, 2021 by erickt123
Popular Post AK-1138
Platinum #601:Difficulty: 6/10 Playtime: 50-70 hours Alright, so, considering I am... err, was, one of the last people in the world not to have had any experience with this game, I'll forego the exercise in gratuitous redundancy that would be the extended synopsisification of the plot. Suffice to say... in the futuristic modern world of Next Sunday AD, humanity has been all but wiped out by a pandemic of parasitic fungi... and that ain't fun, guy. In this post-agaricolyptic future, all that remains to be seen is whether The Last of Us will fall at the hands of these Muzhrombies (trademark pending)... or each other. But when a teenage girl (who is totally not bootleg Ellen Page from Wish) is found to be immune to the Shroomronavirus, the hunt for a cure is on... Hmm... I gotta be honest here, this doesn't even make my top thirty video game narratives. Virulent disdain for the ending aside, it mostly just feels like another spiritual adaptation of The Road adrift in a whole sea of them, and one with an almost crutch-like dependency on its tropes. As contradictory as it may sound, the relationship between Joel and Ellie comes off as equal parts rushed and underdeveloped; one second he's all "get out of my way, kid", next they're sharing dad jokes atop a pile of freshly made corpses. They "warm up" to each other because this type of story demands it; it comes off as unearned because Joel's character arc verges on the nonexistent, and he comes off as disconcertingly self-serving to the last. Long story short: Telltale's The Walking Dead is an infinitely superior telling of what amounts to pretty much the same story. On the other hand, I like Ellie and her chipper quirky ways a whole lot. I tend to chalk up her resistance to the unrelenting darkness of her existence to, like, a side-effect of her immunity... like, umm, some Indigo Child shit or something, I guess? I really like how she slowly and subtly becomes a gameplay asset as things progress. One of the most unique aspects of the game are her disbelieving reactions to stuff she, as a post-outbreak sprog, never got to experience firsthand, like ice cream trucks and unhealthy bodily ideals propagated in the name of consumerism. The Left Behind DLC provided emotional catharsis where the main story rarely did, and I'm definitely more than interested in seeing where her journey takes her next. ...Jeez, is this a writeup on a game, or a damn book report? Yeah, so, umm, as a game... well, this is pretty much up there with the best of the best of survival horror! Never really my favourite genre, but I have been known to engage in a a bit of the old SurHor from time to time. It's a rock-solid bit of tense, crafty, and scavengey goodness that forces you to make the most of your surroundings at any given time. Your survival is as liable to be attained through the astute throwage of a bottle as the firing of a gun. Just a simple plank of wood? Who are you to judge? Tape some scissors on there like a Valentine's gift to Dan Scissorman himself and you've got yourself a 1HKO! The possibilities are endless--if not infinite--and even with some dastardly intelligent enemy programming, there's usually a way out of any situation. And that's not even mentioning the game's trademark listening mechanic, allowing you to visualize enemy locations by way of their footsteps. Don't become too reliant on it, though... higher difficulties lock out the feature altogether. Speaking of, this is one of those rare games in which upping the difficulty feels really rewarding. The level of challenge is more than fair, and passing a tough section, especially if you've engaged in merely a miniscule amount of MacGyvering, always feels like a victory in itself. Grounded difficulty doesn't even allow you the luxury of a HUD to keep track off... did I fire six shots, or only five? Yep, some of the most tense and immersive video game fights of my recent years took place in this very game... infinite shiv glitch or no ? Topped off with a highly idiosynchratic multiplayer mode (my experiences with which are recounted here and here), as a pure game experience, The Last of Us is always engaging and always keeps you on your toes. The fact that it is objectively one of the most well-optimized console games, combining fidelity with a rock-solid 60FPS (even online!) only sweetens the deal. Story never got to where I wanted it to be, but irregardless and respective, I can easily see myself replaying this year after year... and in so being, it is truly a game to be treasured, and at least in part, proves its vaunted legacy well earned. Popular Post AJ_Radio
Platinum #277: Angry Video Game Nerd I + II Deluxe (May 18th, 2021) Difficulty: 5/10 Excitement Rating: 8/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 4 - 7 Hours Hardest Trophy: Totally Perfect Nerd ( Achieve a perfect on all stages in all games ) What a shitload of fuck. I mentioned before that I am a fan of the Angry Video Game Nerd. Ever since he posted his review on The Karate Kid dating back to early 2006 I have been hooked to his content on his YouTube channel Cinemassacre. Was also into Screw Attack, the platform that James Rolfe and Mike Matei started on. Due to his popularity of appealing both to nostalgia and to fans all across the world, I wasn't too surprised to hear there were going to be old school style platformers based on the AVGN character on Steam. I played a little of the games, but never quite got around to beating them. Until now. With all due respect, this is not the best of the nostalgia drenched platformers. The Messenger, a nostalgia style platformer I did last year, was of higher quality and had tight controls with a good challenge. Angry Video Game Nerd I + II does much of the same, but of slightly lower quality. These are still good games, and I enjoyed all the references to past AVGN episodes and old NES games. ROB for instance was a toy accessory for the NES going way back to 1985, who is an enemy in the first Angry Video Game Nerd game. A series of levels in Angry Video Game Nerd II is a throwback to Ninja Gaiden, one of the most difficult NES platformers that even AVGN himself struggled in to the point where he made an episode on it. There is lots here to appeal to AVGN fans, as these games are indeed paying tribute to the nerd. I enjoyed playing these games in this collection, although $14.99 was a bit steep for my tastes. I wouldn't really recommend this unless it gets a discount, and knowing that it hasn't been on the PS Store long, you may have to wait a while. Nothing was too hard at all. Getting a perfect in all stages wasn't without a bunch of retries, but a platforming veteran such as myself had no trouble whatsoever. I'm glad I picked this up.
Popular Post FilmFanatic
#272 - The Evil Within (PS4) Pure Evil Unlock all trophies for The Evil Within. I thoroughly enjoyed this game. My first playthrough was a no upgrades run which wasn’t too bad but not being able to run for more than a few seconds got very annoying very quickly. My second playthrough was my speedrun (clocked in at 3h and 40m) while being fully upgraded which made things so much more fun but running through the game meant I couldn’t enjoy being maxed out as much as I wanted to. And my final playthrough was the daunting Akumu difficulty. It wasn’t quite as difficult as I thought it would be but then again playing it so long after release meant that there was no shortage of tips and videos that I could follow. I completed it in just over 10 hours with 62 deaths. To anyone looking to plat this game I would highly recommend checking out Jigzaw_Killer on YouTube as his Akumu guide makes a lot of sections much less difficult than they could be.
Popular Post Yuber6969
#65: Arcana Heart 3 Love Max!!!!! Rarity: 1.27% Difficulty: 7/10 Parace L'Sia was really hard for me. She chains supers into combos with other supers, is extremely agressive, can heal herself, and regenerates her super meter very quickly. As per the trophy guide, I relied entirely on Angelia's critical heart, and was usually killed before I could charge it. I fought her about 30 times before I finally beat her. Some of the trials actually gave me a harder time than Parace did. This might not have been the case if I played this on the PS3, but it was really hard to pull off some of those inputs on the Vita. The trial for doing a 13 hit combo took me forever. 13 hits sounds like nothing, but the combo system in this game is very bare-bones in my opinion. I also did most of the miscellaneous trophies against the AI, which added to the difficulty. I could have boosted them, but I work evening shifts so scheduling is usually an issue. Enjoyment : 4/10 The game itself was just okay. The story did not interest me at all, but I haven't played the previous Arcana Heart games, so that might be why. By the way, if there's anyone out there considering playing this game for the fanservice, don't waste your time. There are better games with better looking women. The combo system was almost non-existent and the gameplay felt kind of retro, which is not my cup of tea. There is no tutorial, so you have to either research or figure things out on your own. Hands down, my least favourite ArcSys fighter to date. The game is a 6/10 for me. Now, add trophy hunting to the mix and the enjoyment gets even lower. At least 80% of my total playtime was grinding. I've platted quite a few JRPGs, and this was grindier than most (if not all) of them. Edited May 21, 2021 by yuber1234

Popular Post Sardavanua
#183 - Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Kingdoms of Aamalur: Reckoning was always one of those I games I started countless times, but never bothered finishing. The game itself has such a good opening that mangages to catch me every single time I start from anew and I really wish it would remain like that for the rest of the game. I don't know what it is, but going into the very first town gives me some really weird nostalig WoW vibes. Sadly a big part of the game feels like a slog and even though it isn't really repetitive, it really feels like it is. Like most of the different areas got a unique touch, but somehow they feel no different, escpecially the later part of the game is kinda boring. The DLC is a complete different story, they were pretty darn good and I really got that nostalgic feeling back as soon as I entered both of them. Such a shame that they were delisted on the PS3 store some time go. The story telling and dialogue was pretty much mediocre I'd say, the combat system is fun to begin with, but on hard it's only frustrating. Enemies just get beefed up health bars and tend to interrupt you more often. The game looks fine for PS3 standards and I didn't encounter any glitches or bugs, besides that annoying input delay that occurs every now and then. All in all a decent RPG experience, but don't play on hard, it kinda ruins the game imo. It's still the Saints Row 3 that we played back in 2011 but with better graphics and framerate. While i kinda wished if they've remastered Saints Row 1 & 2 instead, i still think it's pretty fun game for what it is. Platinum wasn't hard at all, quite easy actually. Oh and yeah, this is the Japanese release which (unfortunately) have some silly censorships like bodies disappearing right away and no nudity. Popular Post JAK-KRIEG
#590 & #591 - Hitman 3 Finally after a long time since launch they fixed the trophies. It is absolutely unacceptable it takes so long to fix a few trophies that should've worked day one, it seems to become more and more common on many games lately something with the trophy list is broken on launch or some collectibles tied to trophies are wonky like AC Valhalla. Annoying and sad game developers don't seem to care that much. Anyways I love hitman and this game is the best in the trilogy. It has the best story and gameplay and better yet a platinum! Popular Post ViperLance34
Platinum #212 : Max Payne 3 This platinum has been in the making for 8 years. I would occasionally go back to it and attempt NYMHC until I finally decided I had enough and refrained from playing or doing anything else until I beat it. And finally it happened back in October. All I had left was grinding to level 50, but it was so boring I couldn't force myself to do it. I would have rather had another go at NYMHC instead of this crap. I finally did it. At first just a few levels per day until I decided I wanted this game done now and powered through the final 5 levels in one sitting. Don't get me wrong, the satisfaction is immense! Though I sometimes wonder why I continously torture myself and my sanity with these kinds of plats. ?
Popular Post BlackSnake1435
Platinum #56 Mass Effect 3 Enjoy: 10/10 Difficulty: 5/10 As with the previous installments of these series, I didn't enjoy the game at its time, and I must say that Mass Effect 3 was an awesome way to finish this trilogy even If ME2 was the one that I enjoyed the most. I loved everything in this game, playability, the ending, your companions. This really makes me want to replay the entire trilogy even if I have the three Platinums; perhaps the remastered versions would be perfect for that. It would be interesting to see how the story develops in a different way, although there are many points that I would never dare changing. I always made Paragon playthorughs, perhaps next time would be interesting to see experience how the Renegade way is.

I knew I would enjoy it because I knew it was very similar to the first game but I didn’t realise how much I would enjoy it. Absolutely amazing game. It’s an easy platinum, easier than the first game because the blast shards are a lot easier to collect. Would definitely recommend this game to anyone who like me has played the first game and not the second.
Popular Post Phantochi
#236 - Assassin's Creed 2 Ravioli Ravioli give me the hidden bladeioli. AC2 is still one of the best in the franchise, by far, and even 9 years later, it's still a damn good game. The story and characters are still to be beaten by another AC game and i'm happy to say that this game has aged very well. Yeah, the gameplay isn't quite as fluid as the new games, but it's still incredibly fun, and the graphics still look supprisingly good for a game from 2009. The story in this game is excellent, so is the music and atmosphere, and running around in all these Italian cities is still so much fun, to a point where you wish Italy was a real country. There are a few things i miss from the later games, and the climbing and combat feel a little slow compared to the newer games. But dispite a few issues, this is still the best game in the series, and with the direction ubisoft are taking the franchise it looks like it's going to remain the best Assassin's Creed game for the foreseeable future.

Enjoyment: 0/10 - By far the worst of the trilogy, I had more fun clipping through the floor than playing it. Really really poor. Fighting was pretty easy even on the hardest difficulty especially with the focus shield timer and healthy boost. Difficulty: 3/10 I mean I've played some pretty easy things recently after playing DMC 5 and apart from fall guys glitch (which is why I havent posted it) I've been easy streeting. This really isn't different. Easiest of the series, only difficulty is poor execution of the parkour. Way worst of the series and I probably wont play another one if it comes out unless it actually is good.

Complicating matters is the fact every puzzle must be done perfectly with no errors which resulted in me having to redo several of the later puzzles that I thought I'd already perfected but was often 1 square out. I think my favourite part of the game was actually reading the witty but long winded trophy descriptions I'm not deleting it just yet as I have a feeling more DLC trophies will be added.
