Popular Post madbuk
#269 - Light Tracer This is a good example of a game that actually has a reason to be on VR, unlike Driveclub VR and RIGS. Using the move controllers to rotate the tower and zoom in and out led to some interesting puzzles that wouldn't have been as well done if restricted to standard controllers. The move controllers also seemed much more accurate and reliable in this than the trainwreck that was the LittleBigPlanet 2 Move DLC, which was nice. There were also very few timed sections so it wouldn't really have mattered if the controls struggled a bit anyway. I liked how the tower got progressively more complex as you got higher up it. You go from basic platforming to switching gravity to mixing colours and reflecting beams off mirrors to progress, standard ice sliding puzzles, and several other concepts. For a game that's only 8 chapters long, there's a lot of variety here and every chapter felt different. The story wasn't anything special, and the 'twist' was pretty irrelevant, but oh well. The loading times in this were pretty bad though, and it became especially apparent during the grind to unlock every costume. You load up the game -> load up boss -> beat boss -> load cutscene -> quit game entirely (since there's no pause menu to go back to main menu) -> reopen game and load again -> load up boss -> repeat. There's a lot of loading involved in the grind and load screens felt like they took about 30 seconds each. All that time adds up. It's not a big deal when you're just playing through the game, but it's very grating when you're grinding. Overall I'm glad I decided to give this game a shot. I hadn't used my VR in a long time and this finally gave me a reason to use it again.
Popular Post Satoshi Ookami
Trophy Hunter Acquire all trophies. First SAO game set in GGO but still the same SAO grinding I was a bit reluctant due to the whole shooter setting, but yea, after getting legendary AR, the game started being doable =D Still, though... it had its ups and downs, I didn't enjoy it fully like other SAO games. New characters were so-so, TOO MANY DAMN MALES FOR NO REASON, the story was quite lackluster especially at the end and the ending itself. :/ In the end, not playing as Kirito didn't bother me that much actually =D That was probably the biggest pleasant surprise =D It's a SAO game, so grinding was expected but damn, that took a bit too much, lol. In the end, the bounty killing was even more annoying than weapon mastery, lol =D But yea, it's SAO and that's all about waifus. And waifus are cute as always =D Even though both Kureha and Zeliska aren't going to top the rankings, Rain-chan and Yuuki-tan were cuter than usual Edited August 19, 2018 by Satoshi Ookami

Popular Post Lowlliet
Platinum Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 8/10 As you can see in my trophy cabinet, I love HC platformers & anything that has that "Dark Souls-y" vibe and Dead Cells is definitely that kind of a game, so it was no brainer for me to buy this masterpiece. If you like Metroidvania games, you'll fall in love with this one. Awesome & satisfying combat, beautiful environments & pixel-art and memorable OST (that ambience from Slumbering Sanctuary is my favorite). Don`t let the randomness & one life = one run scare you. That's what makes this game special. Every run is different with different layout of levels, gear and enemies. I despise lootboxes but this game is basically one big lootbox, which you open every time you die and you don't know what you'll get. Definitely worth checking out & playing. GG indeed. Popular Post Masamune
Platinum Congratulations, you have unlocked all trophies Difficulty: 3.5/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 Playtime: N/A (1 day, 15 hours, 32 minutes) I've always found the difficulty on this game kinda funny. The normal enemies can sometimes be a little annoying to take out (some can get in a hit pretty easily), but the bosses are pathetic, they can me taken down in a minute or two without even taking a hit... The final boss though, can sometimes one-shot you with his thunder magic towards the end of the fight (forcing you to redo the entire fight... it took me 3 or 4 tries). ? But that's the hardest thing about this plat, beating the final boss on hard, everything else is fairly easy (as long as you remember about the miscellaneous trophies).
Popular Post Melty
#29: FATE/EXTELLA: THE UMBRAL STAR With Regalia in Hand Obtained all trophies. This game was fun. The story for the latter half was interesting. I hated the way you had to gain your Noble Phantasm so I hope it's fixed in the sequel. I don't really like self-insert to much so all the pandering was a demerit for me. My favorite character to play as was Artoria, I enjoyed seeing smug Nero again, it made me remember all the fun I had playing Fate/Extra. The sequel Extella Link should be hitting the US soon so I'm looking forward to playing it and finally play with Scathach & Drake.

Popular Post Squirlruler
#46 Conqueror of the New World -- Monster Hunter: World PHEW. What a game. This was my first Monster Hunter game and I loved it. SO. MUCH. FUN. Always felt like a bad ass wrecking some poor monster. 340 hours to my plat (not including my save resets), thanks Crowns. Kirin was my last crown and I got EXTREMELY lucky with it. I found a (probably) crown size, but it was during a 15 minute investigation and the fucker would run all over the map, leading my to fail. I was very nervous that I wasn't going to see another one for many quests, but RNGesus smiled upon me and with in the next 10 investigations I got it Enjoyment: 10/10 (crown hunting 4/10) Difficulty: 4/10 Wanting more monsters: 18236718923641/10 Edited August 20, 2018 by Squirlruler
Popular Post Hayke7
#32: BANNER SAGA The Banner Saga Master Get all trophies Both fun and a bit of a challenge to plat. Had to up my game and understand the mechanics and strategy a bit better than I already did when going for hard difficulty and not lose a single battle. Could no longer be sloppy with placements of units and honestly had more fun on hard than any playthrough before it. Also love this series so much so feels just right to finally get one of the games to 100%
Popular Post FluffyAssassin64
#98 - Nex Machina "Nex Incarnate" Complete all trophies Damn, Housemarque knows how to make a game! I simply couldn't put this game down; that's how much fun I had with it. From start to finish, the gameplay remained addictive and satisfying... such an incredible achievement in today's gaming landscape. Though it seems simple at first (move, shoot, dash, ability are the only 4 'moves'), the sublime depth in Nex Machina reveals itself as you play through the levels again, and again, and again. The sense of mastery in Nex Machina is unparalleled. I thought my first run-through on Experienced was hard (bosses took ages)... but then I managed to beat the whole thing with only 1 death. Veteran seemed insurmountable at first, but then I beat all the bosses (except The Architect, haha) without a single hit, and only died 3 times. I constantly felt like I was improving, and I kept discovering new and exciting ways to use the abilities. Though the rocket and smart bomb were probably the 'best', the laser and power shot were my favourites Enemy variety was great throughout, and the variety in level design meant that I never got bored. The music was also suitably upbeat (boss 4 and 6 had particularly dope soundtracks), and sound effects were well-done. A few quick tips on each boss for your Veteran run: World 1: omegalul World 2: the laser melts this guy World 3: be sure to dodge during his 'dashing' phase, and the rest is ez World 4: actually super easy. Bring a rocket launcher to make it even easier World 5: actually not that bad with a bit of practice. I used the smart bomb & had all my abilities, so it was quite straight forward. Take out his top left and top right 'cannons' in the 1st and 2nd phases (the order is up to you, but I took the left one out first in phase 1, and the right one out first in phase 2), and abuse the I-frames from triple dodge and smart bomb on the cannons to make the 1st 2 phases quite easy. Phase 3 is a bit of a crapshoot... use similar tactics to create a 'path' for yourself, and use the very top left corner of the screen if you need to (the skulls can't hit you there). Practice this fella a few times and you'll be fine World 6: honestly also very easy. Just focus on timing your dodges, and bring a rocket launcher to make the fight super quick. For the 2nd phase (with the hexagon around you), try to do exactly the same thing. When you see the hexagon get bigger briefly (on the 6th ring), either double dash or time your dash so you can avoid the closing shape & cross the ring. Final phase is easy too; just stand far enough back, use your dodges to clear a path, and rocket him to death Secret Boss: good luck... I got absolutely demolished Otherwise, my two big tips are: patience, and practice, practice, practice! I played through the levels a few times each until I was comfortable with enemy spawns, etc., and then had next to no issues during my 'actual' runs. Don't get cocky either! haha. So... how would I rate the difficulty overall? It's tricky, because I personally consider myself to be quite good at these games (also got platinums for Velocity 2X and Furi, for example), so when I got used to how the game worked I honestly didn't find it very hard. Challenging? For sure, but very doable with practice. The other trophies aren't too difficult either. To me, Nex Machina is a near-perfect gaming experience. Is it as 'memorable' as Bioshock, TLoU, or The Witcher III? Maybe not, but it's an incredibly fun time. I'm sure it's not for everyone, but in my eyes Nex Machina stands tall with the best in this genre. Game rating: 9.5/10 Plat difficulty: 5/10
Popular Post cr1s
#373 - Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (PS4) Prizes, Plunder, and Adventure! Win every trophy. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Another day, another Assassin's Creed platinum. This game tells the events of Assassin's Creed III's protagonist's grandfather, a privateer-turned-pirate who seeks to uncover a Templar conspiracy to gain access to a device that would allow them to monitor everyone. I liked the story, although I felt like the ending was rushed, so there's a bit of inconsistency with the pacing. You also get to meet real-life pirates, the most notorious of whom being Blackbeard, so there's also that going for it. And of course, there's also the typical present day storyline, except that it took a different direction this time due to a certain event that occurred. It's just not as good anymore, though, and kinda feels like filler now.Being a game that focuses on the pirate life, the gameplay obviously reflects that aspect, and it does a fantastic job at it. The developers took Assassin's Creed III's naval gameplay and refined it, adding a lot of cool features to it. From plundering (ships) to underwater exploration to harpooning and everything in-between, it just never fails to entertain. I love the attention to detail as well, like the shanties, your crew celebrating when you're about to take the wheel and when you land a shot on a ship (as well as the opposite for the latter), the random weather, etc etc. It adds a lot to the experience and the game wouldn't have been the same without all that. The platinum is a typical Assassin's Creed one. Complete the story and get full sync in all main missions, play some side missions, do a lot of miscellaneous trophies and of course, multiplayer trophies. While you only had to reach Level 20 in Assassin's Creed III, you have to reach the maximum level here (55), so it takes a bit more time. The multiplayer is extremely similar to that of Assassin's Creed III. The Wolfpack co-op mode is back and is still the same, with only a couple of events added: one where you have to defend 2 chests from being stolen by enemies, and one where you have to beat an infection by picking up 1 of 3 weapons that are scattered around a certain area and killing 3 enemies. The legendary ships take a few tries to defeat even with a fully upgraded ship, but it's not a hard platinum. It's a bit time-consuming with all the things that you have to do, but with how enjoyable the single player was, I didn't mind that at all.Final Verdict: One of my favorite Assassin's Creed games for sure. I'd rank it as my third favorite one, right behind II and Brotherhood. If you're a fan of the series and haven't played this one yet or if you're just looking for something different then I can definitely recommend this game. Also, a huge shoutout to my friend @Zach for stumbling upon a Social Chest at the exact time I was starting to look for one and sharing its location with me! He saved me potential hours of searching for one, so thank you yet again! Edited August 20, 2018 by cr1s
Popular Post TheActualMeg4cy
Platinum #39 - Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time (PS Vita) "Mask and Stripes Forever" I have finally managed to achieve all of the Sly Game Platinum's on the Vita. It was a long trek considering the 3rd/4th game have quite a lot of replaying to do as opposed to the previous 2 in the series. Sly 4, developed this time by another developer instead of the previous 'Sucker Punch' did a great job on this game. The characters were still the same, though fleshed out a bit more. The game-play was absolutely fantastic and they obviously worked hard to maintain that same feeling. The story however is where the problems lies and for me personally, as someone that jumped into the series quite late, it must have been even more disappointing for those that waited for MANY years, in hopes of a sequel, to finally close the story. Sly 4 has easily got the WORST of the stories, with the ending (which won't be spoiled in this!) leaving me soured. The game doesn't do anything at the end to make the player feel good about how it ended, in-fact; it just leaves more questions as to why they would do that kind of ending and then drop the series. It is almost like the Half-Life of PlayStation in a sense, the story is left open and there was obviously something more to do but they're just not gonna bother pick it back up. TO PUT A LONG RANT SHORT - The game is fantastic in terms of the characters and game-play mechanics, though the collectibles got a bit annoying towards the end. (Be well prepared to face LOTS and LOTS of loading screens, regardless of your platform [PS3 or Vita], they will take a LONG TIME!) I did enjoy playing through the game, though towards the end, it reminded me of my resentment for too much collectibles.

Popular Post Kristycism
#59 - Kingdom Hearts II (Also trophy #2,500 just because) Kingdom Hearts II Master This was always my favourite of the KH games, so it's nice to now have the plat on my profile. I would've got this ages ago, but I put off playing it so I could save it for a milestone trophy I love the trophy art for the KH games, and also it's one of my favourite series, so I'm trying to get all of them to be milestones, just because why not? Can't wait for KH3 in January!! I've only been waiting over a decade...but it's almost here at last! I actually still think KH2 holds up fairly well even after all this time though, so if you haven't played the series and want to get into it before KH3 comes out, don't be put off by the fact it's a PS2 game. It's good fun, it plays well, and I would highly recommend the series to anyone, no matter how much time passes! The plat itself also wasn't too bad (except those dumb Mushrooms, a couple of those were annoying), and I completed everything on Critical just to see if I could. Definitely better than the dumb "Unchanging Armour" and speedrun trophies of KH1.

Popular Post JavaNext
#69 - Detroit: Become Human Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 I had an amazing time with this game, the core theme is one I have always enjoyed in movies (Ex Machina is a great example) and seeing it in game form was very interesting to me. In other media you're always forced to take a back seat to the action and choices being made, so this game format was a perfect change of medium as it really allows you to see how you would react to this reality and, for me at least, it made feel like I was changing my views as the game went on. For example, when playing as Connor I started out doing whatever it took to get to my objectives, as that was the characters original motivation but I endeed up siding with the androids and ignoring my original goal. Presentation wise I cant point out any faults, it looks beautiful and I love the soundtrack, also Chole makes the main menu amazing! Popular Post RedRodriguez87
Awarded all trophies PHEW This was a game I hadn't touched in years (surprise surprise, it used to be on my old account). So imagine how it feels to come back to it and find 9 additional DLCs, ALL with trophies. I managed to complete a few DLCs, and got some of the harder multiplayer ones, but it's just all too much for me to tackle at this moment, especially in my current financial situation, so I may get a few more tonight and leave the rest alone until I'm good and ready to tackle it again.
