Popular Post Major_Kiba
#181 BFA - Darksiders 3 It was a fine game. There were several technical issues during my time playing the game with the stuttering that happened from time to time being the biggest problem especially when it happened during fights. There weren't any really difficult trophies to acquire as ng+ and havoc form made apocalyptic difficulty fairly easy. Popular Post Masamune
Lionheart Obtain all trophies Difficulty: 4/10 (probably be a 2/10 if you use the infinite HP cheat) Enjoyment: 9/10 Playtime: 34:51:00 (6 days, 1 hour, 2 minutes) Screenshot: This isn't the actual Platinum screenshot, just the last one I got... The "End of Game" trophy pops during a protected scene, so be sure to take that into account if you want a plat shot. Spoiler Another enjoyable FF game from the PS1 era that makes FFXV seem even crappier. I did pretty much everything available in the game too... completed all side quests, got all cards, read all books, max leveled, learned all skills, & even having 100 of all the best magic on my main party (so 300 of each)... yeah, I went a little OCD on this one. ? It didn't take as long as I thought either, although that's most definitely because of the x3 speed booster (which I had on most of the time), without that I'm sure my playtime would've been at least doubled. Out of all the trophies, there's really only 1 that has any type of challenge, & that's Omega Weapon, everything else is pretty easy (if not unmissable)... if I ignored everything besides what was needed for the trophies, I probably could've knocked this out in 1 or 2 days... I kinda feel sorry for the people who do that though, because there's a lot more to this game than that. ?
Yamis1brother
Got two plats this week from Naruto Ultimate Ninja storm and Ultimate Ninja storm 2. Storm 1 was a super easy game that only took about 20 hours spread across two days (2 days 7h to be exact according to this site). It was a lot of fun going back to one of my favorite PS3 games now that it actually had a trophy list this time. Overall, a 2/10 for difficulty, an 8/10 for enjoyment. Storm 2 was fun, but it made the mistake of being very grindy and having online trophies (EW!). While not hard either, it did get monotonous and soured the experience a little, especially in the online portion. Overall, a 4/10 for difficulty and an 8/10 (would have been 10/10 without the online and the grind).

Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#393 - My Big Sister (PS4) Not much to add to what I wrote for the Vita version. It's still a cool game. Nothing ground-breaking, but enjoyable nonetheless. If you're one of those people, who gets a inferiority complex from playing "easy" games, you might want to give this a pass. If you enjoy indie horror games and interesting stories though, you might want to pick this up while it's on sale for like 2 bucks. Well worth the price. Popular Post Don_carlito94
# 51 Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus The Pride of Fastoon Still platting PS3 games nowadays, and for some reason I never got around to complete the challenge mode even after 5½ years. Big fan of R&C since the first game. Although this game was a bit short, Insomniac still delivered. Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 2/10
Popular Post Dokusha
#102: The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II I shan't beat around the bush: this is a stone-cold JRPG masterpiece in my eyes, and a must-play for anyone even remotely interested in the genre. Falcom has done something truly special with their Legend of Heroes series, and the Trails of Cold Steel subseries is simply superlative in terms of worldbuilding, characterisation, writing, as well as accessible yet deceptively deep gameplay. Yes, the graphics are on the weaker side, but everything else about this game is just mwah~! This is a lengthy story about a country that has descended into civil war, but it does something I don't often see in any modern media, let alone a video game: the antagonists are often remarkably friendly and likeable. They have legitimate, understandable reasons for the things they are doing, despite their questionable methods. This is hardly a "Heroes good, villains bad, go beat them up and save the world" story, this is more mature than that - and not in the gratuitious grimdark sense in which that word is often used. Having already spent dozens of hours with Rean Schwarzer and his Class VII friends in the first Cold Steel, they truly have become like actual friends to me, like people I'm going to miss. Soooooo, it's a good thing that Cold Steel III is coming soon. :> Trophy-wise, it's not especially diffcult, per se, but the amount of little things you have to keep track of at the same time in order to collect all character notes, books, recipes and other minutiae is Yakuza-levels of information overload. Make very, very sure you aren't accidentally forgetting anything, no matter how trivial it may seem, or you'll end up having to do another partial New Game+ playthrough just to get a single character's second notebook entry like I did! Medal of Honor: Underground meets GTA meets Assassin's Creed done in a Pulp style with comic book colours. Highly recommend. Except for the ambient freeplay events. Those gave me Assassin's Creed Unity flashbacks. You know....that map of chests you had to open. Popular Post blu3st4rdust305
Severed - PSVITA (#237) "Made Whole" This game is definitely a showcase of the Vita. It is a colorful graphic Metroidvania adventure game made by the same studio that created Guacamelee. The exploration is unique as it is presented in a dungeon crawling early 3D fashion, as you traverse from very discrete room to room by a single step. Each room may contain a battle, a puzzle piece, a secret, vases with crafting materials or a health fruit. Colored doors with switches gateway progress and a small number of "upgrades" allow you to explore previously inaccessible areas. Its genius is its simplicity. The graphics are nothing special technically, but the style is charming, jarring and bright. The characters are mysterious and the story delved out in small bites that leave you wondering where you will end up.The protagonist is a tortured, brutal girl determined to make right by her family in a confusing and despair-riddled Nether world and she looks more and more bad ass as she gets power-ups. The combat is really where the sweet spot is with this game. Again, its simplicity is its genius. The developers took a nod from Fruit Ninja and used the finger swipe as the primary mode of attack. You need to figure out how each enemy should be attached and learn their attack patterns to be able to successfully parry. While this sounds simple, it becomes maddening as you are surrounded by enemies with timer indicators showing you how quickly they are about to attack you and cause damage. Some enemies you can stymie by simply attacking a couple times, others you must parry to save health. This is further complicated by potentially hazardous environments, such as poisonous air or flotation timers that limit the length of time you have to complete each encounter. This forces you to come up with the more efficient combat order and technique to dispatch the enemies for each battle. The boss battles are varied and unique from the regular bad guys, often including the added difficulty of summoning other enemies multiple times. The game is also provided further depth by skill trees and "magic" which you can deploy in battle or to open up secret paths along the way. This adds to the Metroidvania mechanics, tempting you to double back to previous areas as you earn a new skill. The areas provide more power ups to health or magic bars, or a few ingeniously hidden secret items that you need for the platinum. Between its clever mechanics, charming style and engaging mechanics, this game is a true gem of the Vita. It is short, sweet, and fulfilling. Highly recommended.
Popular Post SKyZoX9
Dragon ball fighterZ Enjoyement 7/10 Difficulty 6/10 Oh well, i couldnt look at my profile without doing this dragon ball game, a masterpiece for every dragon ball fan, hell on earth for every platinium achiever. This was my first ever fighting games like Street fighter/Tekken/blazblue and stuff. I remember the first 20 hours on the training mode, learning how to quarter circle on a Solide State Scouter (Bardock theme) on the background. My left hand was hurting but i didnt care as long as those combos were not on point. Finally i had a love hate relationship with the game, the fighting game genra made me so frustrated of myself never happy with my performences, but man how much this game respect every Dbz fan out there, music, voices, ultimates, everything is there and is getting updated nearly 2 years after release. I wont talk about the zeni grind or i will get in trouble.. Edited September 11, 2019 by SKyZoX9
Popular Post Redgrave
#155: Total Shocker! - The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan I didn't expect much when getting this and was mainly interested in the co-op aspect of it but I was surprised by how much I wound up liking this game after doing the first playthrough. I thought it would just be a generic jumpscare thing that repeats what Until Dawn did and while there were jumpscares I think it did them right and played the horror aspects really well especially in co-op where one player will see something the other player doesn't. It also makes different playthroughs a bit more interesting when you know about what's going on. Definitely recommend especially if you have a co-op partner to play with. It's a shame some people are giving it bad rep at the moment and I hope that doesn't affect the devs making future games since I really love what they did here and I think there's tons of potential for all sorts of different horror stories to make. The whole character of the Curator is cool too and it's pretty cool to see him in the background of certain scenes. Most of all though I hope they keep the co-op aspect part of it too since that made things so much more interesting. Thanks again to @Undead Wolf for getting spooked with me!
Popular Post Viper
#173 Chaos on Deponia Platinum Chalice Not much to say, mainly played this to hold me over for Borderlands 3. Honestly story wise, the first game was better. The comedy is very hit and miss for me because of the way the voice actor for Rufus delivers his lines, there's just times it feels kind of forced and like it's being read directly from a script. Otherwise these are decent point and click games.
