Popular Post Zach
#65 Captain America: Super Soldier Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Time: 11-12hrs This game is a 10/10 for me because Captain America is my favorite Marvel hero. I love his patriotism and I love how cheesy he is. SEGA did a great job with the story, characters, and combat in this game. Team Captain America all day, everyday.

Popular Post Masamune
.hack//G.U. Last Recode King of The World Obtain all trophies. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Time Played: 92:33:13 (2 weeks, 3 days, 10 hours) Screenshot: Spoiler Enjoyed it just as much as I knew I would. Vol. 4 was a little disappointing though, I was expecting it to be short, but not -that- short (under 2 hours), most of the normal features are disabled in that volume as well... ? Still, I highly recommend grabbing this if you haven't played it before (if you enjoy the SAO games, you'll probably enjoy this as well). I got around 30 hours out of the original 3 volumes, & that was with doing everything possible (basically having the Book of 1000 at 100% on all 3 games). I was thinking it'd at least take 100 hours, but then again, this isn't the first time I played these games... Including the runs I did on the PS2, this was probably around my 4th run through the series.
Popular Post Justin__Harris
Platinum #44: Stories: The Path of Destinies (PS4) Game Score: 7/10 Platinum Difficulty: 4/10 Slowly, but surely taking games off my list from @ShakeNBake663's "The Fight Against the PS Plus Backlog" I got around to beating December 2016's Stories: The Path of Destinies. At first, I was really in love with this game. The art is absolutely beautiful. The combat is simple, yet occasionally lagging, but ultimately fun. The narrator is really good and really brings personality into Reynardo and the others. I liked the "choose your own adventure" aspect at first. The isometric view and setup was reminiscent to one of my favorite games, Bastion. But ultimately the game had a few things working against it which prevented it from being one of my favorites. The game is short, with roughly five chapters that take around 30-40 minutes to complete. The idea of the "choose your own adventure" model is to brign variety and replay-ability to it, but the format gets frustrating quick. To accomplish a platinum it will take you no less than the 25 required playthrough and endings to get it. I did feel the writing and story was competent enough, but a lot of it was really redundant and repetitive. And when you get your weapons strong enough, there are no challenges and you're going through playthrough after playthrough without any satisfaction other than slight variances to the story that become less and less interesting. Getting the Platinum isn't difficult at all, but the grind is so draining, it adds some levels to it. The other thing about the game that was frustrating was the large amount of game-ending glitches that occurred. In nearly every one of my plathroughs, in one of the chapters, I'd get Reynardo stuck in the floor, unable to move; or falling through the floor into an endless abyss. Fortunately, you could just quit the chapter and restart, but it certainly made me roll my eyes. So I rate the game as good, but these issues prevent it from being great. Popular Post Bullstomp
Destiny Guardian Lord This game was a bunch of highs and lows. All in all though I enjoyed the experience. There were some forum regulars who made it a fun experience, not sure how I would've felt playing the game without them. As such I could only recommend it if you like gaming online and have some good friends to play with. There is much that you can't do solo. Oh, and this game is a time sink so you've been warned!?

Got it during the flash sale earlier this month for $20. Probably the easiest Ubisoft game out there to platinum (And time consuming as well.) Looking foward to the DLC's! Popular Post XIRCHRAD-
7: Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (PS4) Julius Caesar ~ Uncommon 31.78% ~ 22nd fastest achiever Not as glorious as having the PS3 platinum I imagine but still good for first time players like me. 2 out of the 3 games completed and another stage in Ezio's life. This time set entirely in Rome on this big glorious map. I appreciated it, it was super cool. Very colourful and architecture was brilliant just like the previous game so I had no complaints from there. They added in challenges to the game to make sequences more interesting and I'm not sure if people actually enjoyed them but it added a challenge to the game to me so I was happy they added it in. Gives you that extra thing to do. The few things I thought let the gameplay down in the previous game weren't entirely gone but they were improved upon. Climbing was still blocky but it was quicker. Combat had execution streaks which was a very nice gameplay addition. Along with the crossbow (absolute must) along with parachutes. It was a lot more fluid than ACII but it wasn't completely finished. If I was to pick out anything it was you did seem to hit walls a lot more which resulted in falling a lot. Funniest memory had to be the one with Duccio in the DLC. That guy will never learn. I think everyone has that one friend don't they. They just don't know how to shut up and they regret it in the end but still won't shut up. It was funny seeing him again and Ezio knocking him out again. I think the funniest is reading his bio. Probably should make a comedy out of it "Everyone hates Duccio" Onto Old man Ezio and in Turkey! Looking forward to that. Popular Post Ghost
Personal difficulty rating: 3/10 Enjoyment: This is probably the most fun I've had in a Assassins Creed game (the other two being Black Flag and 2). I got the platinum in 84 hours. The amount of content is insane and often times I would get side-tracked from just exploring Egypt, taking pictures, hunting animals, side-quests etc. I'm glad Ubisoft Montreal took a break from the series and improve on what faults were in the previous games. AJ_Radio
On 3/13/2018 at 4:04 PM, madbuk said: #246 - The Testament of Sherlock Holmes This game definitely shows its age. A lot of slowdown and some very ugly textures may end up ruining this for certain people, but I could put up with that. The controls are also archaic, tank controls on a PS3 game? Why? It controls perfectly fine in first person but god help you if you try and do this entirely in third person. I did really like the story. Of the three Sherlock Holmes games I've played, this Sherlock felt the most arrogant, but that aided the plot and made him more unique than the other two, keeping the story fresh and unpredictable. It felt like it slogged towards the end, especially in the funfair chapter I just wanted to see what happened next in the story instead of running around trying to find an interactable object to progress with. I did end up resorting to a guide at points, mainly in the last two areas or so because the puzzles started getting too hard for someone as dumb as me. This was definitely worth playing but I do wish I hadn't played the two newest entries before it, because that probably hindered my enjoyment a little. The other games were good at pointing you in the right direction if you need it without outright giving you the solution, in this game you get no help. This game isn’t even that old, but I felt it wasn’t half bad. The case where you discover an Ice Dagger killed the victim was pretty clever. Some sections of the game were unnecessary, such as Sherlock and Watson working together to pull a bunch of levers to obtain a certain item. I see Sherlock Holmes as a poor mans LA Noire but it doesn’t stray away from the detective crime solving it should be. Crimes and Punishments in my opinion was a much better game than The Devils Daughter. That was a shitshow of poorly made QTEs and focused on a whiny illegitimate daughter, of which you have to take down a woman with a dark past. Point and clicks at their core are supposed to make you think and solve puzzles, but 99 percent of everybody just uses a guide to bypass the puzzles anyway.

I think you're thinking of the wrong game, the lever puzzle was Devil's Daughter and the ice dagger... was Crimes & Punishments I think? AJ_Radio
Just now, madbuk said: I think you're thinking of the wrong game, the lever puzzle was Devil's Daughter and the ice dagger... was Crimes & Punishments I think? This game wasnt split up into cases like the others Both games are one story arc that is split up by going after potential suspects and looking at evidence. Devils Daughter was easy because you can outright skip the puzzles. Crimes and Punishments forced you to solve puzzles or else you were locked out of a trophy. Seems that Frogwares feels they have to change up a bunch of things with every game. I got the Testament of Sherlock Holmes via rental but I hear that game has bugs and glitches that are rather annoying.

Popular Post Darling Baphomet
Platinum #39 - God of War 3 As the final entry in the mainline trilogy, God of War 3 did a good enough job of wrapping things up. In my opinion, it lacked the flair and inspiration that drove many parts of God of War 2 - for example, nothing in 3 really compares to running the chains to the Steeds of Fate for the first time - but the visual polish and improvements to the combat can't be denied. I came into Titan Mode expecting it to be extremely difficult, after seeing dozens of posts claiming that they were stuck on this boss or that for hours, but after reading some tips for each of the said hard encounters, I was able to defeat all but Zeus in no more than three attempts, which honestly surprised me. After beating the Cerberus / Satyr fight on my second attempt I felt an immense amount of relief after having seen it touted as impossibly hard time and time again. Also, it's really annoying that the trophy isn't transparent, like God of War 1 and 2's. And the game icon has the title raised up, which makes it look weird when displayed next to the other two God of War games. (I made a point of completing all three in a row so that I could feature their icons side by side.) Edited March 15, 2018 by regularegg
Popular Post Dr_Mayus
#228-Middle Earth: Shadow of Modor...THE FUCKING PS3 VERSION I was all geared up for a huge rant. One that would put my Borderland, Fairy Tale Fights, Final Fantasy X ones to shame...but I don't have the energy. This game is BAD...I mean I want Frodo to cast this into fires of Mordor along with the Ring. TRIGGER WARNING-I KNOW I PLAYED THE PS3 VERSION AND SUPPOSEDLY THE PS4 VERSION IS SUPER AMAZING AND IS A 10/10 AND PETER JACKSON WILL COME TO YOUR HOUSE AND GIVE YOU A BACK RUB WHILE PLAYING IT...BUT THE PS3 VERSION SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously the loading every time you pause the game gets really annoyingespecially when you watch youtube videos while playing and it takes 20 seconds every time you want to switch the video. Or if you want to check your map and you accidentally pressed start instead of select then that is 2 loading circles you have to sit through The glitches were abundant. I was constantly climbing on invisible walls, or falling through floors, or the warchief would be stuck in the floor or wall, or the mission objective wouldn't show up or the game would freeze or crash or a trophy wouldn't pop...or maybe the disc would just self combust and end the misery of us all. This game is just ugly as well. I don't even think it is just the PS3. I mean all the scenery is brown and grey, it's so boring. There are like 6 enemy designs so you will see them every 5 seconds. I mean I am glad that this isn't set in a Fantasy World where maybe some variety could be thrown in every now and then. Speaking of no variety...the missions and combat. Every mission was just "sneak around without getting caught" or "battle hundreds of enemies with our shitty Batman controls" I just got really good with the bow and took apart everything...except for the Warchiefs those you had to fight with your sword (because that makes sense...I guess magic or something). Warchiefs ended up just being "run away so they follow you and leave their friends behind". There was a story...I guess. I stopped paying attention to it halfway through. Everyone was so dull and dreary I literally (and this is not a joke) bought Guardians of the Galaxy because I needed a fun game to play to pick me up. After platting that game I had enough enthusiasm to go back to SoM and finish it off. The final thing I can say about this game is it is one of the few games to make me say "fuck it" and shut it off without beating the part I was at. Normally if I fail at something enough I get annoyed and want to keep going. With this game I just shut it off and left it for the day because I couldn't stand to look at the game anymore. Well anyways thank you @Toogie53 for tricking me into playing this game, convincing me it would teach me about love or some crap like that Honestly if it wasn't for your event I don't think I would have ever finished this game as it has been sitting unfinished on my shelf for like 4 years.

Popular Post Redgrave
#123: The end is a new beginning - RiME Got this for free on PS+. I'm not too big on games like this but I don't regret playing it. The ending kind of got me, although I feel like the ending was easy to see coming if you paid attention to the trophy titles. I also understand the theme they were going for with the game but I feel it could have been done a bit better. Overall not a bad game and I would recommend it if you really feel the need to play something that's simple.
Caju_94
#16 - Dungeon Punks (PS4/Vita) Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Well, I needed a game where I needed to smash everything that was in front of me, and Dungeon Punks is a cool game for that, especially on the Vita. Had to do 2.5 playtroughs to get all the trophies needed. A really basic game and mediocre one to be honext, but can be addicting, just by going trough the pleasure of spamming attacks and spells and kill lots of different creatures. The characters I used the most were the Viking and the Hierophant. The game is very linear and simple and a little grindy. Basically when you get to a new map you get crushed almost immediatly, meaning you have to grind and farm weapons so you can one-shot the map and defeat the boss to proceed. Of course, I would never have bought this game, but since it was a PS Plus freebie, why not?
