Popular Post TazDevilz1986
Nickelodeon Kart Racers #398 MASTER OF THE TRACK Unlock every trophy. I'm glad i gameshared this game, this wasn't a good kart racer. Dissapointed and also the game has only 12 characters in the game, and they don't making any sounds from the Nickelodeon show either. Winning all the cups on each difficulty was extremely boring. I expected way more than this. Other than that atleast i showed Spongebob some love.
Popular Post MissShake
#44: Soul Calibur VI A New Story of Swords and Souls Obtain all trophies. Soul Calibur is always a series that I've appreciated from afar, but never really did much with. I own II, IV and V, and I still thought that II was the best one. (I didn't own it until I was an adult, so there's no nostalgia in that statement.) SCVI might be a better game, though. I quite like the cast, new and old, and everything feels so crisp. As far as the plat goes, I think this is a very doable endeavor. Libra of Soul is probably gonna take up most of your time since literally half of the trophy list is related to it, but if you don't read or watch any of the story events then that may not even take that long. It's a fun fighter, so if you like a good 3D fighting game every once in a while then SCVI is a pretty safe bet! Side note: I'm thinking about trying to get all of the plats for games that were on the main stage at EVO back in August. I have four done now, so I only need four more! Let's see if I have it in me...
Popular Post snakebit10
287 Watch Dogs 2 Graduation Day I am a sucker for a open world game. I did like WD2 and thought they improved on a lot of things from the first game. One of my favorite new features was falsifying a poice report on citizens and having the cops come and arrest them. I wish they had a trophy for that. As for the story goes I think I like Aiden Pierces story from the first game better. San Francisco/Oakland was a lot of fun to explore and I thought it was done really well. Got to give a big shoutout to @DamagingRob for helping with the MP trophies. I really want to see what they do in the next Watch Dogs, Concrete Genie is going to be next.
AK-1138
Platinum #405: Difficulty: 3/10 Playtime: Three to three and a half hours Enjoyment: 6.5/10 Think the Tomb Raider/Hitman GO games with an '80s slasher aesthetic and Minecraft graphics. These kinds of games get on my nerves rather fast, and I resorted to a guide sooner rather than later, because I just don't have fun playing (and failing) the same level over and over. All the references to the greatest decade in horror cinema, even extending to trophy names, worked a treat for a buff such as I. The delightfully punny level names were just the right side of dad jokes. And the imaginative kills... yep, they know their stuff. The only thing I can call challenging was the Three Faces stuff, which took a few tries. Mindlessly grinding kills for half an hour also wasn't the most fun I've had murderizing people. Killing shouldn't be a chore, man; it's an insult to the sanctity of human life and all that! Anyways, had some measure of shlocky fun and got me a blood-splattered platinum to show for it. Definitely going to be stacking the Vita version for next Spooktober, even if those patented Vita load times will be, well, murder.

Popular Post StraightVege
King of the DwarvesYou did it! #215 - The Dwarves (2nd Fastest Achiever, in 14 hours & 46 minutes) I'm glad I got this game for peanuts in a Humble Bundle; it's a brief, mediocre, bare-bones RPG, rife with technical issues. Apparently, it's based on a book series, but I've never read them, so I can't comment on how it compares. The majority of playtime is spent moving a pawn around a bland overworld map, and listening to (admittedly good) narration. This is interspersed with clunky and awkward RTS-style battles, in which you attempt to control up to 4 characters, but it's so cumbersome that you often prefer to just stick with the most overpowered unit yourself, while letting AI handle the others. These characters also have an irritating tendency to block one another from moving, or to die by falling off of ledges. There's a large cast of characters to fill your party with, but since the maximum level is only 10, there's nearly no equipment, and very limited skills, the RPG elements are wholly uninteresting. This game runs terribly, too: inconsistent frame rate, constant hitching and screen tearing, endless load times, T-posing NPCs—what a mess! The Dwarves feels like a bad PS3 title. I pity the poor shmucks who backed this crap on Kickstarter. The only positive aspects I can point out are the voice acting and writing, as they're actually quite good most of the time. It's a relatively fast platinum as well, doable in under 15 hours, so the pain doesn't last long. Popular Post NorbR338055
#37 - Oxenfree Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Excellent narrative game, if you like that kind of game, I think this one is not to be missed. The story, of which I will say nothing, is really captivating and has many memorable moments. I also really like the overall aesthetics of the game, even though the world is a bit frustrating to navigate sometimes. There's no difficulty to the platinum of course, and big thanks to @QuentinCle95 for the excellent guide available on this site, it really helps. I do recommend following his advice and going blind for the first playthrough. That story is really worth discovering without having eyes on a guide, and there's nothing lost in doing so, you'll need 3 playthroughs regardless. Speaking of multiple playthroughs, they're par for the course for this type of game anyway, and as always there's good and bad about it. The good, with Oxenfree, is the way the game acknowledges and subtly modifies the story when you're on a second playthrough. I really liked that, it's minor things, little winks and nods, but it's really well done and kept me hooked in my second run. The bad, on the other hand, is that required silent playthrough. Who ever thought that it would be a good idea to require a silent playthrough in a game that focuses so much on dialog choices?! What a sour and boring experience, really a disappointing way to get the final trophy -- for what was, in the end, still a very enjoyable experience and a really good game.

Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#404 - Observer A psychological scu.fi horror game, that's really more a thriller than horror. While the story and setting are interesting, the game suffer from a whole bunch of issues. The less annoying one would be the pacing being way off. A lot of sections overstay it's welcome and drag on way to long without ever being relevant for the story most of the time. More of a problem is the overall technical performance of the game. A lot of frame drops, having to wait 10 seconds or so to open some doors because the game is loading whatever is behindsaid doors and let's not forget the crashes. The collectibles (pictures in particular) are also not registering properly, which means starting a holw new playthrough from scratch. So in the end, what's left is a mediocre game. Enjoyment: 6 Difficulty: 4 (due to bugged collectibles)
Popular Post madbuk
#341 - Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds This was better than Norn9, but once again it shares the problem of all the routes pretty much having the same ending. It's not quite as bad as Norn in that regard because there were more variations but I don't really think it was varied enough to justify 12 different routes. I guess this is just a thing in otome? I remember Amnesia routes being very unique, Code:Realize seemed unique at first but then I redid it and realized how similar the routes actually are, and then Norn and this... It's a shame because non-otome VNs generally haven't disappointed me in ending variety (Steins;Gate and Chaos;Child for example.) Also once again the main character isn't the brightest. There was a blatantly obvious plot twist that she should've been able to piece together early in the game, but then she never actually figures it out and has to have another character explain it to her entirely towards the end of the game. Why can otome protagonists not figure things out for themselves for a change? Especially when it's so basic. The rest of the cast was pretty good although the names were even more Japanese than normal (understandably since this is all based on real events, with some heavy creative liberty thrown in, so these are all real Japanese names) so even by the time I was at my 12th playthrough there were still a few characters I only knew by their last name/first name, not both. I couldn't tell you Hijikata's first name, for example. Not a big issue though since it's very rare that they get referred to by that name, it's almost always just "Hijikata". You could tell this game was split into two halves though. The game was engaging enough for me to decide to continue with the second half, Edo Blossoms, but not straight away. I just hope Edo Blossoms has some great recaps because there are 13 routes to keep track of, and despite how similarly they ended, there are still some key differences that can change how things progress going forward.

Popular Post starcrunch061
Plat #357: Illusion of l'Phalcia World Seeker Obtained all the trophies. Well, this game was...pretty bad. This one had some potential, but really fell apart about midway through the game. One of the big problems is how talky and fetch-y the game becomes. During what should have been a crucial stretch of the game (namely, where you learn of a way to defeat the final boss, and begin preparations), you are treated to a series of quests which have you flying back and forth between two castles a total of 3 times. No enemies, just fly here and grab stuff, then fly back and learn where the next stuff is. The game tries to present the histories of its characters as big reveals during the mid- and late-game, but only comes off as really, REALLY boring. One major issue is that you often can't skip scenes, even when it is clear that the characters are just repeating nonsense from previous scenes. The ending is a particular mess. You learn of the goings on of each of the countries in the world. It is narrated in Japanese, with subtitles. However, the subtitles appear much more slowly than the narrator speaks (and I mean MUCH more slowly - at one point, I waited almost two minutes after narration ended for subtitles to conclude). Combat is decent enough, but the encounter rate is absolutely ridiculous. Thankfully, you can blow through battles with the right magic skills, and since you level relatively quickly, you can use magic pretty much every battle (leveling gives back all your HP and MP). The optional bosses are a joke. They are either very easy, or so hard that you'll just be spending all of your premium points to continue mid-battle. I'll probably write a guide to this one to save any other unfortunate purchaser my own troubles. Not a good game. Hell, not a good Kemco game.

Maybe because it had some rpg elements like building your character, doing sidequests, a bit of grinding etc. It's a bit shame that i didn't start with the first game though, i felt like i was missing parts of the story. My main character was Jack and his clones really helped me achieving 100%. Playing Borderlands 2 atm, it is certainly better, but i miss gliding by using Oz. Popular Post DamagingRob
#416- Murdered: Soul Suspect (PS4) Moving On Collected every trophy in the game Had planned on replaying this around Halloween this year, after picking it up in a sale for just $2. It's a cool ghostly adventure, in my opinion. Saw a lot more this time around by talking to more ghosts, and being thorough. But it is a shame more collectibles aren't like the ghost stories. Collecting sets of those gets you a creepy and voiced tale to listen to. The rest are just small blurbs of text, which add to the lore. Not terrible, but nothing like the ghost stories. Recommend checking it out, since Square seems to put it on sale constantly. Definitely worth $2. #417- Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice Done Collect all of the other trophies Not sure what to say about this one. Visuals were stunning. Combat was pretty fun. Other than that... it's an experience. One very much worth experiencing, imo. Platinum images: Spoiler

Popular Post cr1s
#427 - Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly Obtained all trophies. Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Decent VN with a fairly interesting main story, an okay cast, and some good endings. Many of the Short Episodes were fun to read as well. Unfortunately, it's one of those VNs that have lots of typos, with them being prominent in the Short Episodes. It's as if they didn't bother proofreading those because they thought no one would read them. >_> The Butterfly Hunt minigame took me a few tries to get an S rank on, but it's very simple in any case. I'd recommend using the touchscreen to lock on to the butterflies and any d-pad button to shoot them, while prioritizing both getting high combos and shooting at least most butterflies to ensure you get that S rank. Not much else I can say about this VN otherwise. On to Psychedelica of the Ashen Hawk!
