Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#312 - World to the West A Zelda-clone that is a mix between Telsagrad and Trine. You control 4 characters that need to open up the way for each other to progress to new areas. While interesting at first , it gets a bit dull a few hours in. You have to bring each character individually to the new areas, so it requires a lot of back and forth. The combat is farily boring, even though all characters have different attacks. At least the boss fights are interesting. Enjoyment: 6 Difficulty:3
Popular Post yellowwindow7
One True King / NI NO KUNI 2: REVENANT KINGDOM i had to put a hold on posting here about having this platinum until i 100% the Adventure Pack free story DLC because i really love this game, also it's one of the fewer games that i raged at during the platinum journey. - one of the best ps4 game i personally ever played - though i had to admit it didn't rise the bar Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch was set but it did improve at some aspects the first game on the ps3 had, personally i prefer the very fast paced action combat of this game over the first one and now there's a a reason to wonder around the world map insted of using it just to go from an area to another in the first game, and Thank God that there are no Stupid Genie inside a Caldron this time, and there's no annoying trophy about gambling or " get this amount of cash from the casino " on games that i don't even play or try in real life, speaking of the casino there's one in ni no kuni 2 but the lady whose working in there won't gonna allow Evan to play anything, at first she tells evan that he's so cute but she don't have anything too mature to say to a " Kid " then tell evan that the excitement to play at the casino is way too much for his age.... kinda makes me wonder how did Oliver which appears to be a little younger than Evan to play at the casino... i liked Oliver and some of the familiar and especially Drippy in the first game, but on this one there are more characters that i liked especially Evan an Roland themselves, though i kinda have a mixed feeling about the kingmaker Lofty. the City Build and especially the Dreamers Maze (specifically the Faraway Forest Dreamer maze with the 40 floors ) is the reason why i clocked around 205:14:13 hours of game time, it was so addicting to me. ___________________________________________________________ - not all flowery and jolly in ni no kuni 2 though - the story is okay! the first game had a way better writing story, the first game is a bit longer, the familiar ( Pokemon-like creatures ) is very addicting! the Higgledy in 2 is cute and cool ( some even can save your ass in tight situations if you chose the right ones ) but they're not the star of the show like the familiar in the first game were. the Skirmish is Not Too Good... i mean it's like FFXII or Xenoblade Chronicles 2 you get close to a hostile thing and your unit will auto attack it and this is a problem, as you wanna kill the bigger threat in front of you but some of your unit will try to break a stupid fence or take AGES to kill a single enemy and keep their full focus on it instead of the bigger one, would have been so cool if you can point your unit on whom you exactly wanna attack instead of them to auto chose. at some point your unit will took their sweet time to attack and i swear at some point do Nothing! even if you're hugging the enemies. there's also a misleading in one of the description in one of the skirmish missions, some mission required you to capture a general alive before he escape... the description say the " Winning condition " is the said general not escaping the battleground as the " Losing condition " say the said general not to get killed! so i went killing his allies instead to lower his unit number hoping he will surrender and he escaped!... tried to follow him without killing anything and he escaped!... before i start pulling the rest of my hair off i searched a guide on YouTube and it turns out that you need to catch up with him and ATTACK HIM UNTIL HE DIES!! ? then a scene will shows that he's alive and surrender.... but oh boy you gotta read those comments on the video though ? the A.I of the other playable character have been improved over the first game a lots! but still felt dump especially during tainted monsters fight, since this game lacks the commands system the first one had where you can issues command to your allies on when to attack or block, so during a fight some bosses or tainted monster will start to build a massive attack to damage or one hit kill everyone so you need to move away in time if you don't have MP to stop the build, when doing so you see your A.I partners get close to the enemies running around it just to get KO'd! and you have no action around that except wasting revival and recovery items. i think the Witcher 3 have spoiled me so much in terms of side missions, even side missions in that game had it's own story... in ni no kuni 2 it felt so outdated fetch quests, it was like ( this little girl is sick.. go to the end of the world map and search for a special flower. *you do so and return* good! now on part two.. take it to a said doctor who's also live at the end of the world map to mix some medicine *you do so and return* oh i forgot to tell you that the medicine will not work until we dip it in a special water that can only be found inside a cave AGAIN at the end of the world map! ) __________________________________________________________________ still i really love this game so much! i'm currently trying to 100% everything the game is offering so far, i only need to cock all the higgledies and unlock all the costumes for all the characters, not talking about how easy the game was since the difficulty patch came right when i was too early in the game and i changed the difficulty to Hard after i finished goldpaw's story... this took way too long so i'll stop here.
ImBossy83
Platinum 119 Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 Last year i said I'm not going to try to Platinum this again unless they change the trophies and since they changed the trophies i went for it again. The trophy list is significantly easier thanks it's predecessors so i believe after pes 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 this is going to be the first pes Plat that's not going to be ultra rare. I liked the game and the only trophy that was a pain was the trophy for winning 100 games.

Popular Post Phoenix_argentea
My first post in this thread: No. 84 Atelier Lydie & Suelle ~The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings~ The end of the Mysterious series. And, according to me, the best among the three. First of all, the alchemic system: in every Gust added something, like the lines you have to cover in order to add some traits or quality in Atelier Firis. Now these lines have been replaced by the planet symbols (Astronomers, you're welcome! ?) and you can rotate the tetris pieces from the very beginning! You feel very satisfied when you craft an item with powerful effects and traits. ? Now the story: seeing again some of the characters I met in the previous two Atelier gave me a sensation like “welcome back!” (if someone knows the Kingdom Hearts series and all the Dearly beloved variations played at the main screen, then he’ll understand what I’m saying). Time has really passed for them: some of them has become more mature (especially Firis): now it’s a good archer, and, as a supporter, she throws arrows really powerful! But what happened to her archer sister Liane? I didn’t remember her so stupid and Firis-centric! Maybe she ate some kind of mysterious mushroom... ? . Some characters meet their story end, like Fritzel & Drossel, Corneria, and, obviously, Sophie & Platcha (and another character. Who finished this game surely knows him). One sub-event which really made me laugh was the dialogue between Drossel and Corneria about the doll of the second one, since Corneria was absent in Atelier Firis, but there was a doll which looks like her, and, obviously, Corderia was surprised of this doll and of his creator! ? This time the world is splitted between the “outside world” and the “Mysterious Paintings”: the last ones are really well-done with a different variety, like the Spooky Forest (which reminded me the final levels of Pac-Man World 2 on PS2), the bottom of the ocean (and this time I thought: “Fine! Let’s go back to Ys VIII!”) or an ice grotto. Last (but not least) the two main characters: they have different minds, but I think they complete each over (and I really liked the Suelle’s strong personality: whenever Lydie meets a stranger in the streets, she receives an invitation from a stranger and says: “Yes! Why not?”, but Sue: “No. Who are you? Out of our way!”). I've always played as Suelle, since I liked kicking logs and crystals (and enemies ?). And a lot of complaints about their father Roger: what’s the matter with him? Ok, his wife died and he wasn't able to save her, but now he has two daughters to look after, am I right? No, he gives them his jobs, spend the money, and suddendly he disappears leaving them alone, and, after a while, he takes possession of his brother’s Atelier! Seriously, is he supposed to be a certified alchemist? Don't make me laugh! ? I’d like to throw him out of the window or, better, blowing him up with a class S Lightning bomb (with Intense Destruction of course!) ? I’ve played only four Atelier games (the Mysterious trilogy and Ayesha), and this one struggles with Ayesha for the first place. Finally, a curiosity: when I completed the game with all the trophies (except one) I thought: “Ok, what have I missed?” I checked up the list and I found the Barrel trophy. “Seriously?! The barrel trophy!” I completely forgot about one of the most common item in the Atelier series. And I spent ten minutes in the town looking for a barrel! ? (and I hope I put the spoiler tags in the right way. It's the first time I use them. ?) Edit: Ok, they work! Edited October 14, 2018 by Phoenix_argentea A check-up on the spoiler tags.
Popular Post KaiserMaglorix
First time posting! #22 Zombie Army Trilogy! Overall enjoyment 4/10 This Plat took a good long time for me finish up, I started it up with my two friends @Lawless_Llama and @LuciaRosethorn as a little fun coop game for us to play together. First few hours was a lot of fun, but then the feeling of not much variety was kicking in. To the end we wasn't having much fun and I had to grind out most of the trophies alone.
Popular Post DamagingRob
#354- Drawn to Death I talked to Amy. For like an hour. Today was a good day. Earn all other trophies in the game. Yeah... kind of doing this backwards. Don't know what to say that I didn't already say in my status update. Very weird and buggy multiplayer game. Not shocked it's getting shut down. But even the worst games can be fun when playing with @cr1s. When he asked if I wanted to boost this: And here's Johnny Christmas! Popular Post Bullstomp
Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust 'Movie Mogul' Difficulty: 3 Fun Factor: We don't need no stinkin' fun factor! So I was at a mom and pop used game shop and saw this for $5. I loved L3: Magna Cum Laude on PS2 so what could go wrong? ( I later learned Magna Cum Laude was made by Sierra and Box Office Bust was made by Codemasters. What a difference a studio can make!) Doesn't that platinum image exude quality? It actually gives a clear idea of what you can expect from this title. Graphics? Awful. Gameplay? Awful. Music? What music? Story? I had to fast forward the story for a trophy! (Speed - beat the game in 8 hours) The game wasn't particularly difficult (camera angles, crappy mechanics and poor hit detection make the game artificially difficult) but it was still relatively quick. But be prepared to get frustrated because 90% timed events + shitty controls = a bunch of unnecessary restarts. And for what should have been a funny game the jokes varied between cringey and lame. I think for all the jokes I heard I may have given 1 courtesy smirk; that's it. Long story short: relatively easy platinum though it has a 16% plat rate. I spent $5 on this "game" and feel like I got taken advantage of. If you are a trophy whore this game may be for you. If you like games that are fun, entertaining and/or mildly coherent don't bother! Caveat Emptor.

Popular Post starcrunch061
Back on the play train recently, and here is PLAT #303: DIABLO 3 (PS4) Diablo III: Reaper of Souls Platinum Trophy Collected all other Diablo III: Reaper of Souls trophies. I liked this game far more than I thought I would. Come to think of it, I'm not sure why I thought I wouldn't like it to begin with. Mindless hacking and slashing, coupled with great loot which allows you to develop strategies to be more efficient at...even more mindless hacking and slashing. I really got into the seasons a couple of times (I finished my hardcore character on a season). I was sad that I never got any of the rainbow stuff, though (I got to the rainbow land twice, but no dice on the drops). But all in all, it was great fun. Once again, a shoutout to @Sir_Bee for his and his wife's help in getting me over the lvl70 hump for my last three characters.

After playing Dragon Quest VIII, I thought I would never see a Dragon Quest game that would top it. I was wrong. This is easily my favorite Dragon Quest game to date. This truly is the dawn of the new world! Enjoyment 7 Difficulty 5 Time to plat 100 hours This is the second Tales of i have platted on this account, i have platted it before and played back on the days on Wii. I have enjoyed the game even if the first symphonia is better in every aspect: Better graphics(i love cell shading) same music and better gameplay, revisit the same dungeon of the first, even if extended, is pretty cheap. The platinum is A LOT simpler respect the first but some trophies missable(skit of all) are a pain in the ass. Even the bonus dungeon is a pain, long and boring. Raccomended to any Jrpg lover? of course. Edited October 15, 2018 by UItimate_Battler

Popular Post TheLastSurvivorD
#90: Twisted Metal I am Sweet Tooth All Trophies Cutting it far too close. Ever since I first played it when it was on Plus, back in 2015, I've wanted to return and attempt to finish it. But I ultimately procrastinated, even knowing it'd shut down eventually. Now that it's actually happening, I'm very glad to have finally gotten this out of the way before then. And to have a new, awesome platinum trophy, of course. I've never played a Twisted Metal game prior to starting this, so it was quite the fun experience originally. Without considering the trophies, the actual game can be very enjoyable, both in the story mode, and on the multiplayer side. When the game was decently populated three years ago, multiplayer matches were full of havoc and chaos. And while the story was brief and didn't have much content to it, the short stories about each of the three characters in the story mode are pretty interesting. Favorite parts of the game were easily the huge bosses and final battles (especially when you play the Iron Maiden and Carnival of Carnage for the first time!). That's all there is to see with Twisted Metal, though. You simply won't find anyone playing the game for any multiplayer mayhem anymore. And with the servers so close to shutting down, there wasn't much to stop and enjoy here, because of the time-consuming multiplayer trophies and the Twisted gold medals. I'm quite happy to finally have this, and it even gave me more motivation to return to some of the older games I've left untouched.

Popular Post snakebit10
#256 Mastered the Jungle So this is my second go around with FARCRY 3. I originally played it for my 100th and I got this version with the season pass of FARCRY 5. It is still a beautiful game and fun to play. Probably my favorite in the series (Haven't played 5 yet). The characters were more interesting than in 4 and Vaas is still the best antagonist in the series. I still don't know why Vaas wasn't the main antagonist in the game. Much better than Hoyt IMO. Still to this day FC3 has one of my favorite Platinum images.
