Popular Post Eagle
Platinum #4 - The Order: 1886 Fun game, although I can definitely understand why the reviews for it are mixed. Randomly crashed on me when I was doing chapter select for the remaining trophies too, which is never good. Next game will be The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, which I know is gonna be a huge time commitment, but, considering everything I heard about it, it's gonna be good. Popular Post Viscera1900
#254 - Final Fantasy VII Remake Master of Fate "Earn all FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE trophies." Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 5/10 Long awaited Remake is finally here, well atleast 20% of it. But they managed to extend lots of stuffs from the beginning/Midgar. The game is visually stunning; probably the best looking game on PS4 I've ever played. They absolutely nailed Final Fantasy VII Remake's combat system here; It's very action oriented that also requires lots of planning, preparations and strategies. I wasn't a big fan of Final Fantasy XV's combat system, because it lacked all those things I mentioned above. The trophy list provides decent amount of challenge, since it requires you to beat the game on hard difficulty and super bosses; Overall I had fun getting that platinum trophy from this game and I can't wait for that part 2 of this Remake!! Ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce to you: Aerith the Ripper!!! Tired of picking those apples from a tree? No worries!! We got you covered!! Can't get your gloves off after a hot shower? Fear no more!!! We got you covered yet again!! You think your husband/boyfriend is too much of a woman? Worry no more!!! Aerith will fix the problem in 2 seconds!! Popular Post eigen-space
Platinum #117 - The Count Lucanor (NA - PS4) The Count Lucanor, 50.00% Rarity Difficulty - 2.5/10, Time Spent - ~6 Hours , Enjoyment 3.5/10 The Count Lucanor follows 10-year-old boy Hans on his grotesque adventure to find gold and other riches by solving puzzles in the castle of Count Lucanor. I didn't like this game. First off, Hans is a brat... he starts off the game by being extremely mean to his mother and only slightly redeems himself by being able to feed apples to a starving donkey. Second, the imagery in the game is just disgusting... I didn't realize it would be possible to do so with the really shitty 8-bit art style this game has, but they did manage to do it (rivers of blood, puddles of blood, decapitated bodies, entrails pulled out of bodies... just disgusting). Third, this game now makes me wary of goats as the goats in this game are vicious, blood thirsty animals. The game also limits the amount of times you can save by the amount of coins you have on your person... and though they aren't scarce, they aren't exactly abundant either; had I been able to save more, I would have completed this game much quicker... I would die and then have to redo multiple puzzle rooms to get back to the point where I died. On top of all that, which is just opinions, the game also crashed a couple times, had lag issues, and would do frame drops and whatever the equivalent of a frame drop would be for music too. The mechanics in the game are pretty easy. You basically just explore the rooms in the castle to find the game's collectibles while figuring out the gimmick of the room, which are always pretty basic (moving crates, making your way through a maze, memorizing fire patterns, etc). You also pick up objects and then use those objects from your inventory during certain situations, kind of like a point-and-click game. Nothing about the game is particularly hard, but if you're like me, you probably will die a couple times because you did something stupid. Overall, can't recommend the game, though it is an easy enough platinum to finish up in a couple hours. Popular Post Masamune
The N. Vincible Crash Bandicoot! Collect all the Crash Bandicoot: Warped trophies. Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Playtime: N/A (2 days, 6 hours, 9 minutes) Screenshot: I forgot to disconnect before earning it, so the icon screwed up... ? Spoiler Now I've got the plat for the main Crash trilogy + CTR! Out of those 4 games, this was definitely the easiest (from hardest to easiest would be 1 > CTR >>> 2 >>3). With the others, there were a few particularly troublesome stages that really ate up some time, & just made you want to say some... "interesting" words. I can't really think of any that were on that level with this one though, most of the stages I got the gold relic on within 2-3 tries. While this is the easiest game in the series, I don't think it's my favorite... I think that'd have to be 2, that seems like the one I enjoyed the most out of them. May just be my childhood biased talking too since that was the first Crash game I ever played, & I played it a lot back on the PS1. I would like to go back to Crash 1 & try to 100% it, but that DLC stage is comparable to "The High Road" ...so yeah, that may not happen. ? Popular Post Ala-Arska
LEGO DC Super-Villains Here's to Mischief Collect all the trophies Nailed it. After 35 LEGO Platinums, it's kinda hard to write something new about these blockheads All in all it's just another brick in the wall. Lots of characters, lots of levels, one big hub. It's still as enjoyable as most of them. It's got the trademark humour, abilities are fun to use, nice to see old favs such as Mr Mxyzptlk Voice acting is top notch, since the great ones (Kevin Conroy as Batman, Mark Hamill as Joker and sofort) are all present. At times, if I closed my eyes, I felt I was playing an Arkham game instead. Now I do want to play one! Unfortunately there's a ton of bugs littered across Gotham and Metropolis. Which is staying true to LEGO franchise, I suppose. NPCs not spawning/moving, camera getting frozen, characters getting stuck...Had to restart levels more than once or twice 'cause of it all. It's hard to take a victory selfie of myself and the Sea King, when the latter is f**ed up in the bottom of the ocean and I'm floating way up Semi-decent amount of collectables this time, although each Gold Brick tends to require more effort than usual. With oodles of DLCs, LEGO DC Super-Villains has all it's bases covered. To this day, I still favor Lord of the Rings (PS3), though

I've never played any UC games on Crushing and it was a real pain in the ass at times (there's no way in HELL that I'll ever play through it again on Brutal). The 3 speedrun trophies were quite doable, except the last where I had to resort to use a glitch to give myself some more time. Sometimes I felt like the game was eating my inputs and I ended falling, drowning, getting my a** wooped or climbing all over again. Had to retry some of the bosses until I learned the patterns but nothing too bad overall. Gonna give the second part of the series also a try.
Popular Post djb5f
Platinum #100 (milestone!) The Last of Us Part II Difficulty 3/10 Enjoyment 9.5/10 Naughty Dog has once again outdone themselves. I will keep this spoiler-free as several TLOU2 threads have my more detailed thoughts around the game and story. Suffice to say, I really liked the direction they went with by showcasing different perspectives and the extra measure of uncertainty of what might happen next. Great framework and while I would have made some subtle changes, it really hits the mark as a powerful, gripping storyline. The gameplay itself is also a ton of fun. Not much change in mechanics, crafting, weapons or add-ons from the first game but that is not a bad thing. The Platinum itself is a walk in the park, more collectibles than I would desire but I am not knocking the game itself for that. The single-player experience is superb and worthy of the most of two play-throughs you need for the platinum. I found myself watching the majority of cutscenes the second go-around, which is very unusual for me but shows how the story hooks you in! The multiplayer in the first game while not the focus, was masterfully done. You could jump right in and naturally progress to all trophies (PS4 version) while just playing the game. No inane MP trophy requirements (looking at you Uncharted 2 and 3) so hopefully we will still see something like that down the road even if it is offered as a separate game. I would not mind playing the game a 3rd time down the road with Survivor/Grounded difficulty but I don’t think that adds to the challenge materially. You can always look up tough spots on YouTube for techniques so not exactly murderer’s row. As I started playing this, I thought, I need to make this my 100th platinum as Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End was my 50th platinum so there is some symmetry there. I quickly knocked out some POWGI puzzle games which were very fitting for stay at home (some more enjoyable than others) and voila, set it up for a very memorable Platinum #100. Verdict: HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Edited July 9, 2020 by djb5f

Popular Post shxrpay
Platinum #209 ~ Strider (PS4) Strider Master Earn all Trophies in Strider Definitely not what I was expecting, although it was indeed a very fun game. A 2D hack and slash platformer with collectibles and an actual story. Hard mode was only a little challenging until I got the hang of it, then it was a breeze the rest of the way. Speedrun wasn't challenging at all either, I finished it with about an hour and 15 minutes to spare. The collectibles were super annoying, though, since there is no fast travel and going from area to area without the game guiding you again is very confusing. Fun though! It's on PS Now for any of you users, and it's not a bad game. Probably ~10 hrs to plat if you've never played before. Less if you get all possible collectibles while doing the story.
Popular Post erickt123
#58 - Doom 3: BFG Edition (PS3) I already done this on the PC so redoing the trophies here is kind of no different, well except the lack of PC options like graphical settings, FOV slider, and other things. The load times are much longer here so going to levels and dying isn't always the most pleasant. The controls cannot be changed here, so I am stuck with the default and alternative configs which are less than ideal. The circle button isn't even used here, the d-pad doesn't quickly switch to weapons you actually want to use so you have to go through each weapon slowly besides a few like the Soul Cube/Artifact and BFG. Strangely enough, this sort of weapon switching is done well in the Classic Doom games, so why not Doom 3 itself? I have no idea. The framerate also drops a lot here and there is no way to autorun in Doom 3 (you can in Classic Doom though), so this isn't the most ideal way of playing Doom 3 on console. Best to play this on PC or the 8th gen consoles where some improvements or much needed features are just missing in the 7th gen version of Doom 3: BFG Edition. Bunch of trophy ramble hidden in a spoiler. Spoiler To go over the trophies, you have to play through Ultimate Doom, Doom 2, No Rest For The Living, the main Doom 3 game, its expansion Resurrection of Evil, and the new extra expansion in this "remaster", Lost Mission. For Ultimate Doom, you just need to do the whole game on Ultra-Violence, do a single level on Nightmare, and get 100% stats on a single level. The last two I mentioned can easily be done on the first level. For Doom 2, you just need to do the main game on Ultra-Violence, complete a level with 100% stats, find a BFG, and find a secret area. Finding a secret area is unmissable as MAP07 has a mandatory secret you cannot miss and you get a BFG in the last level of Doom 2 in the starting room, so it's basically hard to miss. No Rest For The Living can be done on any difficulty, so you can rush it on the easiest difficulty just fine. Overall, the main difficulty is doing both main games on Ultra-Violence and it can be challenging (and confusing) at times, but it's nothing too bad. The controls are iffy and the ports themselves doesn't really have many advantages that a source port doesn't have. With the new 8th gen 2019 re-release getting much needed patches, these Doom ports aren't really worth checking out. They're playable, but you have better ways to play Doom on a console now, a much better way. With Doom 3 and its expansion, there's some misc. trophies liking killing an enemy at 1HP and killing two Imps with one shotgun blast, but you have a manual save feature to help you out so these small grinds are fairly easy enough to do, if a little annoying to retry. However, the main thing(s) to worry about in a first playthrough is to collect all PDAs in each campaign. For the main Doom 3 campaign, you'll also need to open all (sort of) storage lockers and find all video logs, so best to double check what you missed so you don't replay the whole game again (and rewatch unskippable cutscenes). Resurrection of Evil and Lost Mission are shorter than the main game and only require finding the PDAs, of which there are much less to find. In fact, pretty much most of them are in a way mandatory to find in those expansions so finding PDAs isn't too much of a problem. The real tedious grind is having to replay the main game and its expansions on Nightmare, since the difficulty setting is locked until you beat each campaign just once. On Nightmare, your health drains by 5 points every 5 seconds until it reaches 25 health points and enemies do 350% damage, so basically one hit can be the end of you. There are no health kits in the levels, just health stations, which you'll be draining out quite often. You get the Soul Cube in Doom 3 and Lost Mission, while in Resurrection of Evil you get a fully upgraded Artifact after beating the first boss. The Soul Cube is effectively your health resource in Doom 3 (and Lost Mission) and it's also a one hit kill weapon, so not only use it to gain health for areas that you might have trouble with, but also use it to take down tough enemies like Hell Knights and bosses quickly. In Resurrection of Evil, you only have the health stations as your health source so you'll be at 25 health or less a good majority of the time. You also have less charges for the Artifact so use your increased damage and invulnerability wisely and hope you don't get unfortunate deaths for the most part. Resurrection of Evil, despite being 3-4 hours long, is definitely the hardest campaign due to the lack of health sources and having only the Artifact to rely on, especially since killing enemies doesn't charge it up much like the Soul Cube. Doom 3 is second in difficulty due to its length and several difficult areas, but the Soul Cube definitely helps on keeping you alive. Lost Mission is the easiest as there aren't many notable areas you can get stuck in and it can be finished very quickly even if you're not rushing too fast. Last thing to mention is like 6 multiplayer trophies though they are quick and easy to grind, just requiring you and one other player to get them for like 5 trophies. The 6th multiplayer trophy requires 3 players as you need to kill 2 players with a single rocket, but again, nothing too hard to do and set up a party with since the MP scene is deader than it was at launch from what I know. All in all, a lot of play time to playing the games, replaying them, doing the classics, and extra time on the multiplayer pretty much nobody plays. All in all, Doom 3 is an average game though it has grown on me over the years. Since the PS4 version of Doom 3 is basically the same as the BFG Edition on PS3, you can pretty much use the same strategies and guides there. Obviously a keyboard and mouse has better precision for aiming but not many enemies in Doom 3 are too hard to hit, even with aim assist disabled. That said, I'm burnt out on Doom 3, maybe I should actually get around to Jak 3 or finishing some cheap Transformers movie tie-in game. ? Popular Post snakebit10
The Last of Us Part II #310 I will keep this spoiler free as possible. First of I enjoyed every minute of this going for the platinum. My first play through was a minute short of 26 hours. Now to the game itself. I have mentioned many times on here that the first game was not a favorite of mine. I played through one time and haven't bothered to go for platinum. I took a chance with part two and didn't have real high expectations for it. I was immediately sucked in and I enjoyed the whole journey. Once again Naughty Dog has upped their game in the second installment in a series. Just like Uncharted 2 is much better than Drake's Fortune TLOU part II is much better. The gameplay was fluid throughout and pacing was good for the type of game it is. I loved searching for materials and one game I didn't mind the collectibles. The notes add to the story. I can't wait to see what Naughty Dog can do on PS5. Now I will wait for Ghost of Tshushima to release.
Popular Post Fearless0610
Platinum #66 - The Last of Us Part II Every Last One of Them Oh boy, where do I start? I love TLOU1 it's probably in my top 5 games ever and after it's powerful and ambiguous ending I never wanted a sequel. It told a beautiful, heartfelt and gritty story about redemption, survival, loss and ultimately love. It had a beginning, middle and end...it was perfect. Now this game on the other hand. It feels so disconnected from the original game that it comes across like an entirely different studio made it. The story feels like a bad soap opera and bad fan fiction rolled into one with forgettable, cliche and unlikable characters. The pacing and ending are some of the worst I've ever experienced in a game and it was even worse the second time around. It felt like an absolute chore and struggle to get through especially with all the collectibles Now is not all bad...for the most part. The graphics are incredible and beautiful but not the best on the PS4. That honor still goes to Death Stranding which is the closest game I've seen to photo realistic on the console. Game-play and combat was pretty solid, voice acting was good but the horrendous dialog did hurt it at times. The sound and music was fantastic and really enhanced the overall experience that to me was the real star of the game All in all, TLOU2 is colossal disappointment to one of the greatest games ever made. The platinum isn't really difficult just very time consuming and will test your patience to the fullest. The game is a 5/10 at best in my opinion. Bring on Ghost of Tshushima and Cyberpunk 2077!

MakotoKaCun
Platinum # 85 Naughty Bear Naughtyrificness! Finally finish this game. Guess can say this is a okay game. Getting the platinum is not hard, Is just a simple game which you kill bear :). Spend quite some time on it just because I kinda want to get most of Platinum Cup (ever though it does't not require it to get the platinum trophy.) Here the image showing the score need to get it. Will there is a few issue with the game. The game it self is somewhat laggy while playing the later episode with more detail, making it hard to play.I found that you can somewhat fix it by pausing the game and let it load for like 10~20 sec will make it abit smoother. Other then that is the camera that you will always have to fight with. This are the two major issue that make the game enjoyable. Other then that is a simple, fun and enjoyable game. Finally finish this game and now is left the online multiplayer trophy which hopefully can get it soon.?
Popular Post madbuk
#377 - Deponia Doomsday A very unnecessary continuation of the previous game, and while the game does play into the fact that it's unnecessary, that doesn't stop it feeling like a slog. The time travelling also was rather convoluted and by the end I had lost track of what was even going on tbh. Also, the worst Deponia trophy list buy far - whoever thought that Jackalope trophy was a good idea... why? I also had some saves just disappear on me - one of which was 2/3 done with jackalopes - so that was nice... Overall this was the weakest Deponia game imo. Unnecessary, buggy, tedious, and just rather boring. One good thing I'll say is that there's no problematic things in this one like in a previous game (Chaos?) where you sell a black person into slavery to progress the plot (and then you never see them again.) I've found this whole series to be a bit overrated honestly. It has some fun characters, like Rufus/Toni/Goal, but on the whole I much prefer the Broken Sword series, where (in my experience of it) the vast majority of the characters are great.

Popular Post AK-1138
Platinum #524: Difficulty: 6.5/10 Playtime: 15-20 hours Enjoyment: 7.5/10 Whoa! Mario's box-smashing, fruit-gorging One True Competitor for the crown of '90s platforming is back on PlayStation, but is he better than ever? The answer is... somewhat. Quick recap: I originally played the games in reverse order, and as such, I only ever got to experience CB1 as a game that is almost objectively a worse one than its massively improved sequels. Ain't much can be done about that... or is there? Rjght off the bat, this is the only one of the three remasters that is truly improved to the point of notability. Game now allows you to die (which you will do, a lot) and still gives you a chance to get a level's gems, which any OG Crash player will tell you is a QOL improvement beyond earthly measure. Time trials are also added in recursively from CB3 (I don't give a crap that the box art doesn't denote Warped's series order!) and provides a hefty challenge for all skill levels. But it is in no way impossible, as I have just proved. In fact, once I got into the zone and really had to force myself to get better, I largely enjoyed the chase more often than not. Probably helped that I started with the hardest one, the blood-pissingly taxing bonus level. The whole process has given me a new appreciation for how well designed the levels are within their limitations, with clever shortcuts being a dime a dozen. Pretty disappointed with VV's decision to expand upon the story elements not at all, which felt barebones and wanting on the PSX and apart from the animation being a tad more engaging, it's the same old stuff. Just beginning and ending bookends with hardly any flavour in-between. I want to know more about these characters and their world, but game just leaves me hanging. It's got the framework to be more than the same old Save the P̶r̶i̶n̶c̶e̶s̶s̶ Inordinately Buxom Bandicoot Lady spiel, but lacks the ambition to do much with it. Got a bit of the same problem with the whole trilogy, as a matter of fact. Looking crisp as a spring daisy (even if I largely dislike the new character designs) and playing about as well as it always did--give or take a few wonky hitboxes--Crash Bandicoot is in fact, largely improved. It remains a seed that would birth greater oaks in future rather than a great experience in its own right, but a few of its issues have well and truly be done away with. They could have made a bit more of an effort in this regard though, and this is coming from someone with a natural disregard for change, as it applies to remakesters. It's a balancing act for sure, but the flaws of CB1 have always been readily apparent and itching for some TLC it will, at this point, probably never be given. Edited July 11, 2020 by AK-1138 Screwed up the actual platinum number.

As a Lovecraft fan I liked the story very much, especially the main character's slow descent into madness. Played it on PC last year and now was the time for the platinum on PS4. The game is very trophy hunter friendly and with a guide for the missables is a breeze.
