  1. Hey everyone, I want to introduce a tool I made called RewindPS4 that can easily downgrade PS4 games. RewindPS4 works on the same principle as when we used the Charles tool for downgrading games, but automating the fiddly steps. You just need to provide the JSON link for the old game version you want. We all know that some older versions of games have certain "tricks" that make trophies easier to obtain or can avoid some glitches. For example, the latest version of Mafia 3, there are some glitches that prevent certain trophies from unlocking, but the older 1.09 version doesn't have this issue. In the new version of Final Fantasy 15, the comrades mode has been removed, and the only way to obtain trophies related to that mode is by downloading the older version. Download: https://github.com/Ailyth99/RewindPS4/releases It's worth noting that RewindPS4 only supports downgrading PS4 games for now, not PS5 games. But you can use it on PS4/PS5 console to download older PS4 game versions. The tool provides two modes: Mode 1 lets you specify any version, then have your PS4/PS5 connect to the proxy network built by this program to download the old version. Mode 2 only works on PS4, completely blocking all patches to solely download the 1.0 initial release. I've written up a detailed guide covering the usage process: USER GUIDE here It is recommended to use Windows 10. However, if you are using Windows 7 or macOS, you can still use it, but it may be a bit more complicated. You can refer to user guide for more details. So yeah, it's a handy little utility I hope proves useful to everyone!

  2. As of April 2nd, 2024 EdinhoN decided to "shutdown" the shutdown thread, so I have decided to carry on his amazing work. Hello guys, I've decided to continue this thread that EdihoN originally started and try my best to constantly update with new information about Shutdowns and Delistings. My intention is to track all of the shutdowns, which I keep researching all the time. Also, a bit of help from the community will be much appreciated. So, basically, if you see a new info about an upcoming shutdown, please let me know here This thread will contain info with help from PST thread, where users always come up with new shutdowns announcements. So for the present moment, here it is: CONFIRMED UPCOMING SHUTDOWNS (SOURCES AT THE GAME TITLE LINK) CONFIRMED SHUTDOWNS CONFIRMED UPCOMING DELISTINGS CONFIRMED DELISTINGS Links to useful websites for this forum: https://www.playstationtrophies.org/forum/topic/309260-server-shutdowns-and-unobtainable-trophies/ https://www.ea.com/en-gb/legal/service-updates https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/legal/gameservers/ https://www.trueachievements.com/news/tags/Server-Closure https://www.trueachievements.com/news/tags/delisting https://www.(URL not allowed)/news/tags/Server-Closure https://www.(URL not allowed)/news/tags/Delisting https://support.2k.com/hc/en-us/articles/360012369553-Which-2K-Games-Have-Servers-Online https://www.ubisoft.com/en-ca/help/article/multiplayer-and-online-services-availability-in-ubisoft-games/000064576?isSso=true&refreshStatus=noLoginData https://delistedgames.com/ Well, that is it by now, any news games announced and I'll be adding them here. 6. If they are, I'd really like to give them feedback. I really really REALLY would like to have the option of either deleting trophy lists that aren't at 0 %... or have the option to hide them from myself. There's a few games in my list at 1 or 2 % and I just want them gone. I know... it's not a big thing... unless you're a little OCD like I am

  7. I've waited Aprils Fools to end so it wasn't taken mistakenly as a joke, but I'd like to announce I'll stop updating and reading this thread. I haven't been updating this properly for a few months so far due to other priorities in life. It was quite good being able to help the community for almost 7 years, hopefully someone can take up this job in a new thread (feel free to copy everything needed, formatting, content, whatever).

  8. Guys, it's literally a few centimeters of fabric. It's alright to goon, but caring this much about it is just a tiny bit insane.

  9. @Thephoenixshow Thanks for taking over the thread! I know a ton of people rely on this every day, so it's much appreciated! This thread had a lot of issues displaying in light mode and also some issues where the hidden contents boxes were broken. I went ahead and fixed all that so it should be good to go now. If you ever paste any text into your post from elsewhere, try pasting with Ctrl + Shift + V so it pastes the text without any extra formatting that would break it in light mode again Also thanks a ton to @EdinhoN for spending years keeping the previous thread up to date, it was incredibly helpful to so many people (1.5 million views on the thread alone!) Also I went ahead and adjusted the titles on both threads (Removed the "2" from this one) and added "Retired" to the other one so it's less confusing

  10. For real. Be horny on main, it's absolutely fine- but this is NOT an issue. This is NOT censorship. Honestly, for the people who are actually, legitimately upset by this "situation", I'm sorry but there is something truly wrong with your brain... and it may be beyond hope for you.

  11. DISCLAIMER: This is not (just) about The Crew - this is about gaming as a whole - an attempt to create a legal precedent that might either 1.) force publishers to be more transparent 2.) and/or force them to change and abandon "licensing" games instead of OWNING them 3.) and/or force them to include an option when a game that's online-only ends its support - to allow offline play - allow player run servers. This is nothing new. This is the way things have been until maybe 2005 and later. And gaming may reach this point again in the future. This action is a small step toward more customer rights in the future. This may not be feasible in the US, but it seems not unlikely to succeed in the EU. Australia forced Steam to offer refunds, now Steam offers refunds everywhere. If this succeeds in the EU and elsewhere, it might benefit gamera all over the world. This is NOT about trophies. This is NOT about forcing publishers to maintain support indefinitely. This may NOT change anything for current games. It MAY help the future though. Please do not engage in bad faith arguments if you have not understood and read the terms this is arguing for. If you are uncertain whether you are for this or against this - ask yourself this: would you rather OWN games again, or are you fine with LICENSING and being at the mercy of a publisher? I was forced to add this disclaimer because of bad faith arguments engaging straw mans, poor attention spans, defeatist attitudes and ignorance. Are you annoyed that The Crew (or any other game...) has been shut down? Do something about it! (And maybe the future will be better!) Stopkillinggames.com (The Crew is just the impetus for regulation of predatory practices and more consumer rights. As Ubisoft is a French company, the odds might be in our favor due to French and EU regulations. The video basically explains it all, but the FAQ also has everything you need to know.)

  12. ASTRO'S PLAYROOM You've Only Done Everything Found all trophies in ASTRO's PLAYROOM. See you in our next adventure! FUN: 10/10 DIFFICULTY: 2/10 PLAT NO.33 CUTENESS: 99/10 Don't know why it took me almost 2 years to give this a go! It's just such a blast to play, from start to finish, with adorable depictions of Sony icons we've grew up with, a blast of a sound track and in all such a positive and fun experience. Though anything that isn't an open world game is a breath of fresh air to me, this one is really special. And it was free! Would love a sequel in the future!

  13. For a chance to win $20 in PSN credit, you'll have to play one of the following games and complete the main campaign/story, with proof of it on your PSN profile. This giveaway was made with PS+ Extra subscribers in mind, but anyone that has any of the listed games can enter. Important rule though, you can not select a game if you have already started playing it and earned even a single trophy. You have till May 12th to complete the game. The gift card will probably be US region, but I'll try to get it for the winner's region if I can. If this does well enough, I'll do it again in a few months with more games to select from and a bigger prize. So going over the rules again. 1. Select a game from the list below and play until you at least complete the story. 2. The trophy for completing the game will put you in the running to win $20 PSN credit. 3. You can not choose a game that you've already earned a trophy in. If it's at 0%, then you can still select it. 4. Rule 3 also applies to different stacks. If you earned a trophy in the NA/PS5 version of the game, you can not enter with the EU/PS5 stack. 5. You must complete the game before the 12th of May 2024. 6. You do not need to platinum the game. 7. Post here with your game of choice, and then post here once again once you've completed it. 8. You can change your game of choice even after you've started it, but make sure to post here and let me know. 9. A winner will be selected randomly from those that successfully enter, so you don't have to rush the game. Just finish by May 12. I've decided to add a $10 runner-up prize. Even if you don't finish your game of choice by the 12th of May, you still have a chance at winning something. The other rules still apply, though. Now, for the list of eligible games and the trophies required. Bugsnax - Vacation's End Call of the Sea - The only thing I have now Circus Electrique - City Savior Chorus - Rise as One Children of Morta - Guardians of Morta Dodgeball Academia - The Grand Finale Dishonored 2 - The Royal Protector, or The Empress Dishonored: Death of the Outsider - Final Release, or Decide Inscryption - Dramatic Finale Kingdom: New Lands - Crowned Kingdom: Two Crowns - You have Sealed Your Reign In History Kena: Bridge of Spirits - Restore Balance Last Stop - Last Stop Lake - Life in the Fast Lane, or Hometowner, or Free Spirit Life is Strange (Original, not the remaster) - Chrysalis, Out of Time, Chaos Theory, Dark Room, and Polarized Life is Strange: Before the Storm (Original, not the remaster) - Before the Storm Life is Strange 2 - Wolf Pack Life is Strange: True Colors - I Thought I Could Hunt The Monster, Something You Build, Burying Something, The Kind of Thing You Can't Undo, and The Only Promise is The Adventure Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy - Guardians of the Galaxy Midnight Fight Express - Watch the Sunrise Rise of the Tomb Raider - The Price of Truth Shadow of the Tomb Raider - Quite the Adventure Soulstice - We can choose to Fight Spiritfarer - Let It Go Sundered - The Crawling Chaos, or Beacon of Hope Tales of Zestiria - Dusk of the Shepherd The Last Guardian - Though We Are Far Apart Watch Dogs: Legion - Divided We Fall Vampyr - Unnatural Disaster To be perfectly clear, it is ok if you have earned trophies in some of these games. It is only the game that you select to enter with that has either not be on your profile prior to this post, or currently be at 0%. So for example, if you have any trophies in Lake, you can't choose that game to enter, but you can still select another game from the list. Most of the games are pretty short and easy, so two weeks should be enough to complete any of them. Entries 1. Hitman_Spinksy1 - Bugsnax 2. Kriimaar - Watch Dogs: Legion 3. 14. So the 1 or 2 guides that are out there really leave you wanting for info and are filled with inaccuracies. So, here is my guide after just snagging the plat for myself. - General - Difficulty: 4/10 Time: 20-25 hr Difficulty Specific: Yes - Must Play on Immortal (third most difficult) Missable Trophies: Yes! - Missable Trophies - (In order by Chapter) Chapter 4 - Socialite (Bronze) During your party you will get the optional objective to speak to your coworkers... Just do that. Literally just open your map to see all the conversation points and make sure to converse with each of them once. If you leave the room, just go back in and talk to them. You would kinda have to go out of your way to miss this one. Chapter 8 - Backtracker (Bronze) During the main mission "THE MAGIC EATERS" you will get the objective "Reach the Underwell", during that time you must use a portal to return to the Palathon. You walk right by one on your journey - You are even stopped by a fight right next to it - so just use that one. Chapter 11 - Fowl Play (Bronze) Partway through Chapter 11 you will be treated to a delightful cut-scene of the character's drinking, where at one point, a random bird appears and the characters remark on it. After that cut-scene the bird can be found in the Palathon. It will remin there until you advance too far in the story... I don't know how long that is, so just find it as soon as the cutscene is over. It is located behind the fast travel portal in the lower section. You just have to walk up to it and look at it. Chapter 12 - (All of the 'talk to X-NPC' trophies) So technically you won't get this until the epilog, but the missable aspect is during Chapter 12. Basically, during your free time at the Palathon, you can find 6 non-story critical NPCs available to speak to about various topics. Each chapter you progress will add another topic, but you DO NOT have to speak with them each chapter. They will be happy to talk with you about all topics you have accumulated (none of which are missable) at any time UP UNTIL a defining moment in Chapter 12 (See below), after which they will only want to talk about new topics, thus locking you out of the trophy for talking to them on all topics. Selko does NOT count for this trophy and can be safely ignored. The remaining five each have a trophy attached to them regarding talking to them about all topics: Magister Belming - Petite Bourgeoisie (Bronze) Found in the center of the lower area accessed by portal; the area where you first arrived. Orphe - Out of Time (Bronze) Found outside at the front of the central building. Hauser - Witch-Taker (Bronze) Found In the central building; where you had your party. Silas Mede - Family Business (Bronze) Found in the library directly adjacent to your own room. Ambassador Damolie - Diplomat (Bronze) Found outside on the side opposite the war room; same place Selko stands, just on the opposite side of the map). How to avoid missing out: During chapter 12 you will be asked to put a 'thing' in the vault. Doing this is fine. However, IMMEDIATELY AFTER you will get a call from Devyn where he tells you to come talk to him. DO NOT DO THAT! As soon as you approach him, this will lock you into leaving the Palathon and you will be unable to finish talking to the 5 NPCs you need to TL;DR: You must talk to Belming, Orphe, Hauser, Silas, and Damolie about all topics. You unlock one new topic each chapter you progress. These topics remain available to talk about until partway through Chapter 12. Make sure you exhaust ALL dialog options with each of the Five NPCs before moving passed this point. There are more topics after Chapter 12, but they will be available forever. Even into the epilog. - Erroneously Missable - (Trophies that are NOT missable, but might appear as such) Good Boy (Bronze) This is for petting the friendly Veki that can be found at the second home base unlocked during Chapter 14. He will remain there forever. He will never leave! Scholar (silver) This is for collecting 50 collectible pieces of lore. And though there are missable collectibles (some not even being available in NG+), there are more than enough to easily get 50, even if you missed every single missable one. So just collect what you see and don't sweat missing out. Treasure Hunter (Silver) This is for opening every single golden chest in the game. Now, there totally are missable chests and even chests that may be glitched in your playthrough and be forever inaccessible... But none of them are Golden Chests. Golden Chests are the ones with the giant red jewel on them. Any other kind of chest is irrelevant to trophy hunting. Not a single golden chest is missable! - General Tips - Maxing Out A Magic Branch Each of the three magic branches has a trophy tied to unlocking all the skills in it. The core skills will cost you 20 ascension points while the outer skills will cost you 17, but because each branch has two skills that each require five points sunk into the adjacent branch, you're looking at 47 ascension points to fully unlock just one branch. This is no small number, and even after 100% the game AND the free dlc, I was still shy 1 point. Now, you could go into NG+ to rank up a bit to reach that 47... Or you could just... Not do that... See, as it turns out, the game only tracks if you have unlocked a particular skill ever... As in, you could do half the tree, reset your skill points, and then do the other half. Heck, I think you could do it with as little as... 28 ascension points. My math could be wrong, but even then, whatever the minimum number, you will have exceeded it by the time you reach the end of your playthrough. So don't sweat about scooping up every little bit of exp or needlessly grinding. Money, Essence, and Breaking Down Unwanted Gear At the beginning, you may be lacking for either of the two primary resources... But believe me, this is a temporary struggle. Before long you will be drowning in resources! I never broke down a single piece of gear out of fear that I might be screwing myself out of some or other and I still had more money than I knew what to do with. The only remotely rare resource is 'legendary essence' used to upgrade legendary gear, but even that was in good supply by the time I had opened all the chests.

  18. I've worked in Project Management in many different industries. While the material of what you work with is dependent on the industry, it is an industry-agnostic career. Pretty much every industry needs a project manager -- even ones that are focused on day-to-day operations with no conclusive end (an example of this, would be something like a grocery store, which its entire business is around operations). With the aforementioned grocery store example, it will eventually have a project that needs to be initiated and closed (one such project could be, opening a new location, or renovations to an existing location). Software, telecommunications, videos games, banking/finances -- these are all industries I have been a part of. All of them have varied in workload, pay, proprietary tools -- however, the job is always largely the same. I'm (usually) never an expert in what the material is, but only an expert on how to assign tasks, manage people/work relationships. This has sort of translated to how I have organized my life, which I'm very thankful for. I live by a schedule so that I can make sure my work, even if it is recreation, gets done -- and make sure my recreational time is also scheduled. Now sometimes, having a "rec time" means just doing what I feel like in the moment, but sometimes my rec time is set for specific recreational activities. An hour is ideal for a game or some reading, but not ideal for a movie, for example. Project Initiation: For when a new game is started and trophies have been earned on my account. Though I may start a game, it doesn't mean I have the strict intent of earning all of its trophies upon initiating the title. Upon the start of a Project Initiation, I'll make the purpose clear. There are two types of Project Initiations: "Starting & Playing for Fun", and "Platinum/100". Since I don't have a team account, this is a solo effort, unless the game I’m playing requires some sort of multiplayer/cooperation, or some other collaborative effort. So, I'm basically managing myself. All games I put on my account are with the intention of 100%ing, but it may not be from when I immediately initiate the game. I’m a player first before I’m a trophy hunter, so I may start something just to experience it and don’t mind leaving it as an open project. Project Status Report: This category is for when I've reached a significant milestone in the project, and the deadline is approaching. I'll talk about my preliminary thoughts, as well as if I feel like if I'll be able to meet the deadline or not. The Project Status Report will also be used if I'm returning to a game to platinum it. Project Closure Report: Essentially a review for the game that was 100%'d/platinum'd. I take notes throughout my time with a game, so this will be a compilation of all of my observations and experiences with the aforementioned title. The Project Closure Report will also be hyperlinked to the respective game in the opening post of this thread. Retrospective Write-up: Given that I have a cache of games to write about as I'm almost at fifty platinums, I'll be revisiting games that I have platinum'd, and write about the game and my experiences with the plat, as I familiarize myself with the title. Titles by PlatinumGames will have their own classification with a Reflection Write-up, as well as a higher effort put into talking about the game. I'll always replay games when possible. The biggest hurdle that could impact these write-ups, would be the termination of online services for a game. For example, Babylon's Fall was an online-only title, and it's impossible to play now. Another example where online functionality could impact the Retrospective Write-up, would be a game such Armored Core: Verdict Day, where the best content is simply inaccessible. -About Me- Beyond my interests in film, music, manga, novels and weeb shit, gaming is my favorite hobby. It’s something I started doing before I could even read. Ultimately, I have my father to thank for getting me into video games. Like a lot of our parents I wager, he loved playing games at the arcade. His favorite game was Dig-Dug and would play it with me whenever I was playing it; we always had some sort of Namco compilation that would have the game. Despite him only really playing 2D games, he clicked with early 3D titles on the PS1. My mother had a very similar affinity for the original Pac-Man, though that’s where her interest in games started and ended. Anyway, speaking of the original PlayStation, that’s where my gaming journey began. Like many kids, I was incredibly obsessed with dinosaurs (a favorite of mine being the Archaeopteryx still to this day), so my folks got me all sorts of dinosaur related media. The Land Before Time movie series, Jurassic Park on VHS, recorded tapes of Walking with Dinosaurs, various coloring books, etcetera. Because of this, my scumbag father decided he would steal a PlayStation from a Best Buy in 1999, coupled with my first video game, Dino Crisis. The logic he no doubt had at the time in his mind was “This video game has dinosaurs, and my dumbass kid loves dinosaurs.” I was just a child, and had no business playing this game, lol. Often, I wanted to play the game, but I needed either of my parents to be present with me because I was too scared otherwise. What didn’t help was if I got attacked, my father would just laugh at the situation when I would be panicking. Pretty much every session of me playing the game had me crying at some point, I’m sure. However, with my dad assisting me in stuff that required reading or him trying to solve a puzzle himself, I would eventually beat Dino Crisis sometime after the new year of 2000. My exposure to Dino Crisis which brought me to love many Capcom games, as well as horror games in general before they got really boring. PlatinumGames is my favorite developer of all-time, which I’m sure is a shock to no one. I’ll get into them more at a later date, but for now, I’ll say that they have been a bigger part of my life than I had initially realized when I started playing their games. I like games with a lot of action that also have high player expectations. I did also grow up with Pokemon, however, my love comes inherently from nostalgia, as how those games are designed are not something that aligns with my general interests. If I’m playing a Pokemon game, it’s usually an older one. My first one was Pokemon Red, though my love and interest nosedived after the fourth generation of games. In modernity, my other two favorite developers are FromSoftware and Team NINJA. Between Souls, Ninja Gaiden (even the mediocre titles) -- I am a huge fan of action games. Whether shooting or melee combat is involved, I like games that feel really responsive with my inputs, and give me a lot of freedom in terms of combat. Even if the game wants me to play a specific way, that's fine -- as long as it's fun and intuitive to the game's design. Just want the game to be fun, and I'll be able to ignore a lot of any game's shortcomings. Thank you for reading! This checklist will be updated regularly and properly maintained, unlike my defunct one. -Completed Projects- Game Art: Project Title: Platinum Image: Platinum #: Platform Completion Date/Write-Up Date: Bayonetta 1 PS3 03/23/2019 | 04/23/2024 Vanquish 2 PS3 04/01/2019 | TBD Max Anarchy 3 PS3 04/06/2019 | TBD Anarchy Reigns 4 PS3 04/08/2019 | TBD Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance 5 PS3 04/22/2019 | TBD The Legend of Korra 6 PS3 05/23/2019 | TBD The Legend of Korra 7 PS4 05/24/2019 | TBD Transformers: Devastation 8 PS3 05/28/2019 | TBD Transformers: Devastation 9 PS4 05/31/2019 | TBD Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan 10 PS3 06/22/2019 | TBD Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan 11 PS4 07/07/2019 | TBD NieR: Automata 12 PS4 01/19/2020 | TBD Bayonetta 13 PS4 05/31/2021 | 04/23/2024 Vanquish 14 PS4 06/12/2021 | TBD Bayonetta (AS) 15 PS4 07/05/2021 | 04/23/2024 Vanquish (AS) 16 PS4 07/06/2021 | TBD Bayonetta (JP) 17 PS4 07/11/2021 | 04/23/2024 Vanquish (JP) 18 PS4 07/12/2021 | TBD Armored Core: Verdict Day 19 PS3 01/15/2022 | TBD Dead Rising 20 PS4 01/26/2022 | TBD Babylon's Fall 21 PS4 03/03/2022 | TBD Babylon's Fall 22 PS5 03/06/2022 | TBD Geometry Wars³: Dimensions 23 PS4 03/16/2022 | TBD Arcade Classics Anniversary Collection 24 PS4 04/06/2022 | TBD Dark Souls Remastered 25 PS4 05/25/2022 | TBD Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin 26 PS4 06/05/2022 | TBD Dark Souls III 27 PS4 06/20/2022 | TBD Arcade Game Series: Pac-Man 28 PS4 06/20/2022 | TBD Arcade Game Series: Galaga 29 PS4 06/20/2022 | TBD Arcade Game Series: Dig Dug 30 PS4 06/27/2022 | TBD Sol Cresta (JP) 31 PS4 07/01/2022 | TBD Sol Cresta (AS) 32 PS4 07/04/2022 | TBD Sol Cresta (EU) 33 PS4 07/04/2022 | TBD Sol Cresta (NA) 34 PS4 07/05/2022 | TBD Dead Space 35 PS3 12/08/2022 | TBD Dead Space 2 36 PS3 12/21/2022 | TBD Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered 37 PS4 02/04/2023 | TBD Titanfall 2 38 PS4 02/06/2023 | TBD Killzone: Mercenary 39 Vita 03/14/2023 | TBD Berserk and the Band of the Hawk 40 PS4 04/27/2023 | TBD Marvel Ultimate Alliance 41 PS4 05/20/2023 | TBD Bloodborne 42 PS4 08/04/2023 | TBD SD Gundam: Battle Alliance 43 PS5 08/12/2023 | TBD Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon 44 PS5 08/25/2023 | TBD Metal Wolf Chaos XD 45 PS4 09/06/2023 | TBD Okami HD 46 PS3/PS4 11/04/2023 | TBD DmC Devil May Cry 47 PS4 11/24/2023 | TBD The Wonderful One: After School Hero (NA) 48 PS4 12/05/2023 | TBD The Wonderful One: After School Hero (EU) 49 PS4 12/05/2023 | TBD -Incomplete Projects- Game Art: Game Title: Platform: Start Date: Projected Completion Date: Trophy Progress: The Wonderful 101: Remastered PS4 07/14/2021 05/15/2024 45/51 Ninja Gaiden Sigma PS4 09/04/2022 TBD 5/51 Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 PS4 09/28/2022 TBD 39/41 Shatter: Remastered Deluxe PS5 11/10/2022 TBD 24/31 Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 PS4 05/21/2024 05/20/2024 57/59 Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen PS4 11/06/2023 TBD 30/60 Dante's Inferno PS3 09/06/2023 TBD 53/55 Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin PS5 01/06/2024 TBD 41/83 X-Men Origins: Wolverine PS3 02/16/2024 05/25/2024 49/51 Helldivers PS4/PS3/Vita 03/17/2024 TBD 38/40 Rise of the Ronin PS5 03/24/2024 TBD 49/51 Helldivers 2 PS5 04/06/2024 TBD 23/39

  19. #200 Final Words Thank you for playing. NieR:Automata (100%) _________________________________________________________________________ ••••••••••• • • • • ❁ • • • • ••••••••••• "Everything that lives is designed to end. We are perpetually trapped in a never-ending spiral of life and death. Is this a curse? Or some kind of punishment? I often think about the god who blessed us with this cryptic puzzle... and wonder if we'll ever get the chance to kill him." ~2B⋆ _________________________________________________________________________ ••••••••••• • • • • ___________________ • • • • ••••••••••• I don't know why it took me so long to play this game, I bought it last year when I had around 160 plats and I wanted to make NieR:Automata my 200th platinum, and there it is! I really enjoyed it, it easily enters the list of my favorite games. My only complaints arethat, despite the game having an open world some areas are small and short, you get there, quickly face a boss and leave. The other is because the game is very easy, I played on normal difficulty, the only thing I noticed on hard difficulty is that there is no aim lock but it doesn't take long for you to be op, and enemy levels don't scale in the new game+ if an enemy is higher level than you, they will only be more spongy. But the story is very good, 2B's ass, the combat animations, the beautiful soundtrack. 2B became my favorite female character, along with Tifa. Now I want to play NieR Replicant! ◌ ° °◌ ◯ ◉

  20. #264 - Persona 3 Reload (PS4) I enjoyed the story and social links quite a lot in this one, since the dialogue was fully voiced. And of course, the Japanese voice acting was amazing! My memory from playing the PS2 undub about 15 years ago was kind of vague, so it was great to be able to enjoy this classic JRPG all over again with a proper localization Platinum was more tricky than hard, due the time management stuff. But I used this walkthrough and it was extremely helpful: https://www.powerpyx.com/persona-3-reload-100-walkthrough/ Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 4/10 Going to play Persona 5 Tactica next!

  22. #307: The Epitome of Super Earth - Helldivers 2 I was excited to play this when it got announced because I remember liking the first game and not only that but they really knew how to market it by having it be clearly influenced by Starship Troopers which is a movie I really love. Unlike the first game the obvious change is that they went to a third-person camera style (that you can also go first person when aiming if you want) and I feel like this change really worked out in the game's favor because of how awesome and chaotic the battles can be. It just felt really hectic and cinematic in a way that the top-down view from the first game couldn't do. There isn't very much in the way of the story to talk about since the only real cutscene is the opening when starting the game up. I assume there is also a cutscene if you win the wars but I haven't looked that up. I also think that the story is hidden in the background in regards to stuff you can examine and other stuff which is fine. I do love how unapologetic it is with the Starship Troopers inspiration though, with the recruitment advertisement when you start the game up along with the fact that you fight giant bugs and just how Super Earth is basically like the Federation. Along with that is the soundtrack which has some songs that definitely sound like they borrow some cues from the Starship Troopers soundtrack, notably the drop pod and the extraction music with the latter having a moment that really sounds like it's from the movie. I would love it if they added more songs in, especially something that sounds like the Klendathu Drop song and maybe even a metal version of it. Along with the bugs (Terminids) which gives that Starship Troopers feel when fighting them, the alternative is the Automatons which offer a different kind of combat where they will shoot back at you which makes maps like Malevelon Creek amazing firefights with red bolts flying all around you and explosions going off and blowing away trees and other cover you might get behind. It's really great with how different fighting the (currently) two factions feels. I also love how the Automatons have some Star Wars influence on them with them having AT-ST looking walkers and now currently they have something that looks kind of like an AT-AT. I actually think I liked fighting them more than the Terminids. Along with all that you can name your ship through pre-selected options as well as customize your Helldiver. I named my ship SES Sentinel of the Stars but if I could actually choose the name for it I would have more than likely just taken a name from Star Wars like Invisible Hand, Devastator, Executor, Eclipse, or whatever else sounds cool. The customization for the Helldiver is cool too in the forms of capes and helmets, some of which I feel like have Star Wars and Halo influence because a few helmets and even armor made me think of Clone trooper or Republic Trooper armor from The Old Republic, as well as a couple helmets that came off as Mandalorian inspired, and a couple that looked like ODST helmets from Halo. There isn't too much in the way of variety right now but as of writing this they did announce a new Warbond that will have new armor so I look forward to getting the helmets from that at least. In general I hope to see what else they come up with. The only issues that I feel like the game has right now is that there isn't much in the way of armor passives that encourage different builds so I just stick with armor that I feel like I can get the best mileage out of in terms of defense and making sure it keeps all three stats balanced. I don't really bother with heavy armor and I don't want to be too vulnerable with light armor. The other is how the in-game currency is handled. I suppose in terms of Samples it adds up the more you play but I feel like the biggest issue is Super Credits. I think the way the Super Credits are done could be handled slightly better because it's difficult to get some without grinding a bit in order to buy the Warbonds you want. You can find some out in the field but the most you get is 10-20 and Warbonds cost 1,000 to unlock. You can also get them from Super Credits in Warbonds too which alleviates it somewhat. I do think that you should be awarded Super Credits for completing daily tasks at least. Maybe not a whole lot but I feel like getting 20-25 per daily is fine and completing a priority task can give you 50-100. Maybe even successfully completing a mission can give you 5-10 depending on your star rating with five stars giving you 20. I guess if they did this though it would mean people are less inclined to spend real money on the Super Credits but I feel like including even one of these options would be good enough. Despite that I really feel like this game gives a great sense of comradery with other players that very few games accomplish. I think the last game that really did for me was Nioh 2 and Peace Walker. I can't express enough how awesome it feels when you get with a group that plays well or at least well enough that you manage to complete as many objectives as possible. There have been many times where I will be with a group where we really feel like some kind of elite commando unit going through enemy lines and taking out objectives quickly and efficiently and it just feels so damn cool when you're running through the map seeing all the bases you destroyed while you and your squadmates armor looks dirty and covered in either Terminid guts or Automaton blood-oil(?). When you get back to the ship, most of the time people will be shaking hands, fist bumping, or hugging as a celebration. It really feels like you went through an ordeal with a squad that had each other's back and I just love that this game has that feeling. I have said it before but I think a game like this in the X-COM setting would be amazing, especially if you put in some Peace Walker/MGSV elements like the gadgets you could make. I just love the idea of being able to research some crazy weapon or whatever and you drop in a new players game and you appear as some larger than life hero to them with all the stuff you went through to make. On the other hand, you can join other veteran players and you all feel like you are professionals that know what you are doing. I get that feeling with this game to an extent especially if someone competent uses the mech suit properly and annihilates the enemies or higher level players come in and use the stratagems properly. For the trophies, I am willing to say that Helldivers 2 is slightly easier than the first game because there are some trophies from the first game that aren't in this like having to stealth a whole mission, or get 100,000 kills. I suppose if they add DLC this could change and I am willing to say that maybe some trophies will become more difficult depending on the updates they make. I don't know if they really will but they did add new enemy types for the factions such as flying bugs for the Terminids as well as gunships for the Automatons. They did kind of nerf some enemies though, although the gunships for the Automatons can be a bit too crazy at times. And who knows if they will add the Illuminate at some point. That said I still think the list is challenging enough but nothing too crazy especially if you have a group that knows what to do for certain trophies. If it wasn't obvious enough I really love this game and I look forward to seeing the future updates it brings. I will leave off with a Malevelon Creek edit that I hope encourages Super Earth citizens to enlist.

  23. #466 - Sea of Stars True Solstice Warrior "Succesfully achieve all of the Feats" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Enjoyment: 8.5/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Completion time: 43 hours / 2 weeks, 14 hours (PSNP) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I think this is my first time earning a platinum trophy from 2D RPG game. Many people say that this game is a callback to retro RPGs, but my history with those kind of games is very limited; the only ones I've played are Pokemon games. This game is so very good and colorful; it has really beautiful pixel art and the music really set the vibes/mood for this game, since this one has no voice acting at all. The story and characters are solid; nothing mind-blowing though. The combat and exploration is fun, but it got really tedious after I got my first ending when I was cleaning up collectibles for trophies; I wish you could run from battles or just have an option to disable enemy encounters after the first ending. Trophy wise it's your standard complete the main story, finish all important side quests and collect all collectibles kind of list. Lol 69 damage to finish this random enemy Zale was actually surprised what Garl was doing in his pants CROUSTALIOOOOOOON!!!!!!! We are about to withess a homicide of Garl

  24. Plat 105: Hitman 3 Difficulty: 4 Fun: 8 Grind: 3 It has some of my Favorite Maps in the Series. If you liked the new Hitman games you will like this. I'm a bit salty that I had to rebuy DLC I already owned from the previous games though... the way this trilogy handled it's DLC is a total mess. Autopops for the DLC was a welcome addition, as much as I love this series, redoing the previous two games again would have been too much! Not a fan of the always online DRM! Plat 106: ASSASSIN'S CREED IV BLACK FLAG Difficulty: 7 Fun: 9 Grind: 7 I'm really proud of this one. The campaign is so good it was actually worth the online grind, the 30 fps and the the ABSOLUTE nightmare that was the online DLC. These are undoubtedly the worst servers I've ever had to deal with, congratulations Ubisoft! I bought TWO extra boosting consoles for just one shitty online trophy, making this the most expensive 100% on my account by far! Plat 107: ASSASSIN'S CREED ORIGINS Difficulty: 3 Fun: 5 Grind: 7 Eh, It's ok. Sadly, I played this after Odyssey, so it was a big downgrade for me. Running around the desert for hours to get the damn Frog Rain is utter BS! Plats 108 and 109: The Plague Tale games Difficulty: 5 (for Requiem) Fun: 9 Grind: 4 Both are amazing narrative driven games. Requiem is surprisingly tricky to Plat efficiently, the ending is also quite something... Plat 110: RISE OF THE TOMB RAIDER Difficulty: 5 Fun: 6 Grind: 7 I finally decided to do this one. It's getting old and it's heavy reliance on servers for trophies had me on edge the entire time. I dreaded doing score attack, but it's actually not hard at all. I did score attack for each level as soon as I finished it in the story. I can safely say the trophies ruined my experience with this one. It's the worst way I've seen online trophies integrated into a game, since you have to beat the entire campaign to be able to do them. The co-op trophies look intimidating, but are really not that bad, stick together with your partner and you'll be fine. Luckily, non of the trophies glitched on me.

  25. - World of Final Fantasy - #147 Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Grind: 5/10 Time: 99 Hours Rarity: [Ultra Rare 3.1% / Rare 10.25%] "One thing about Grymoire... it never gets old for me." So what the honk is World of Final Fantasy? Well is a game that's intended as a celebratory title to commemorate the series' 30th anniversary, basically it has characters and monsters from a lot of Final Fantasy games in a unique world called Grymoire with a unique story and with a distinctive chibi style that gives this game its charm. I wanted to play this game for a while now, its style looks pretty cool and I always loved the monster hunting mechanics from FFX-2 & FFXIII-2, and this game is all about it. Basically this game is FF pokemon. This is a game that from the outside it may look like very simple and stuff but in reality is that once you get on the later stages the game will require strategy and more thought overall, one big advice no one told me items that deal damage and gravity are your best friends on the late late game. One thing that really bugs me is how slow this game runs the menus, this is a game with a lot of menuing and I know if the menuing was better optimized the game itself would be even better, because it makes the whole leveling the pokemons really tedious. I know is a VITA game upscale for ps4, but still you'll expect a better performance in a ps4. Other than that is really awesome seeing back all this characters in this chibi form haha. I highly recommend playing it on ps4, the game really looks amaizing. It took me 40 hours to reach the true ending and I have to say that the story is very interesting, I liked a lot the villain cast especially the Plumed Knight, the design for that character is amazing. The animations in battle are cool, there are very funny moments and references to previous games and overall it was a pretty entertaining game. I didn't like the protagonists, they are the typical incredible stupid boy and the incredible smartass girl anime characters, I can't stand listening to Reynn talking. The game has its roots on amime, it's a very "anime" game, including the story and characters. But totally recommend playing this game for fans of FF. A lot of work needs to be done for the platinum. I did it all by myself and to sum it all up you'll need to: get the true ending, do a lot of side quests, capture/imprism all mirages, level 100 mirages, do extra dungeons, get all chest in all areas, do all the special fights in all areas (murkrift), discover all secret areas, fight bosses and the cherry on top, minigames. What better way to celebrate good old FF than with some really annoying minigames hahaha. Ok I want to say that I don't consider this plat hard by all means, it just requires a lot of work, I'm not sure if the trade option still works, that could help with getting all mirages without investing to much time. So for completionists this could be a good game to plat. I've seen a lot of people complaining about the minigames of WoFF, but they aren't that bad to be honest. The only tricky part is getting the maduin mirage, which requires to win the sandstalker minigame in less than 20 moves and without casualties, this is very luck based but there's a setup to make it easier. Winning 10 times on sandstalker is easy too, with a good setup, to win you'll must always follow the enemies you find or remember where they are and for the maduin run check the setup in the hidden content. The cactuar minigame is simple and straightforward nothing special about it, but for the Lightning minigame I came up with a strat of pausing before an enemy pops that is all you'll need and the blitz one is just practice. Phewww this been very exhausting, well this plat wasn't what I was expecting haha. World of Final Fantasy is a cool game and very fun, but the plat is very grindy, and definitely not a 3/10, more like a 5/10. Took me 99 hours but being honest it didn't felt like I played this game for 99 hours so pretty good. The most tedious part of this plat were getting all mirages, leveling 100 of them up, doing some minigames and a lot of side stuff that required a lot of time like getting all chest and all that. Long story short this game plat can have a lot of experience killers. Pretty solid game despite it all, a lot of references to previous FF games and very fun to play.

  26. Platinum #52 +100% [Assassin's Creed Origins] Total Playtime: 65 hours Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 PSNP Rarity: 24,28% (Uncommon) Earn Them All! AC Origins - It was a lot of fun to play this one at 100%. Personally, I liked the new RPG elements that were introduced with Origins. Egypt in the open world is really well done and is very varied and beautifully designed. One negative point I would mention is the equipment system - you keep getting new equipment that is 1-2 strength points better, so you have to upgrade your equipment every 5 minutes. In terms of trophies, it was relatively easy - there were no missable trophies (you just have to make sure you collect 100 Trinkets). The most time-consuming part was probably "working through" all the points of interest - there were around 460 of them in the game - but most of them don't take longer than 1-2 minutes. The two DLC'S were really well done and sometimes better than the main game. "The Hidden Ones" describes the beginnings and founding of the Assassin Order, while "Curse of the Pharaohs" deals more with Egyptian mythology - as I said, both very well done. All in all, a really successful excursion into ancient Egypt. Welcome to Assassin's Creed Origins Beautiful Open World Platinum Shot after around 65 hours Next Up for #53 ⬇️ Dave the Diver (PS5)

  28. Finished this janky and weird (and fun!) little gem of a game, Ace of Seafood. It's a game where you play as fish, crustaceans and sea mammals that fire laser beams from their mouths. Yes, you read that right. It's so silly, I was having a blast playing this 🤣. It seems to be a sort of parody of Ace Combat. You have a similar hud in the middle of the screen and can lock onto targets etc. The fish have different types of beams, homing scales instead of missiles, and they can also bite. Instead of flares to deceive missiles, you can create decoy fish to divert attention, and crabs can break off legs to have them be decoys and grow them again later with a different skill. There are also fleets of warships, which are the size of fish, because it wouldn't make sense for them to be real size, but it's weird when you think about it. They are toy sized. And you can play as them too, and bomb away haha. By defeating creatures, you get their DNA information and can add them to your party once you have enough %. You can have a party of 6 but each fish has a cost, and you can't go over the cost limit. Formations are important in dealing with your AI allies. They can form vertical or horizontal lines, circle around you, surround your attack target, or fire at will. The amount of playable characters is quite high. From sardines, to pufferfish, many types of crabs, prawns, octopi, seals, sharks, penguins, giant squids... The game's objective is to conquer all 43 reefs, with many of them being defended by other types of sealife. There, you can use them as spawn points to continue exploring the world, change team members and level up characters. It's a bit hard at first. I played most of the game with my salmon guy, completing most of the reefs and changing the squad as needed. But the difficulty spikes are noticeable. Some fights were hellish. At some point I couldn't beat 10 or so of them, so I went to kill a single leopard seal with my entire team a few times, and when I unlocked them, it was a different story. Same thing later for the last 4 reefs with the great white shark. One of the reefs has a boss fight guarding it, and then the final boss when entering that reef. My team of sharks and leopard seals ate that giant squid alive in a few seconds. However, the final boss is much, much harder. It took many tries and I only beat it because it got stuck in a rock for some seconds. The trophies are basically to defeat the 2 bosses and conquer all reefs. But there is one annoying trophy, the only UR as well, that requires you to beat the final boss with a full team of only sardines, the weakest fish. This is nearly impossible. Very luckily, you can host with the sardines and have someone else beat the boss for you with a powerful team. Yes, this game has online co-op, up to four players I believe. It's pretty feature complete to be honest. The graphics, more specifically the 3D models are quite dated, but it's ok. The soundtrack is really good though! I feel like this game doesn't have fluff. It has what it needs, for what it is, and that's it. Took me 2 days but could be done faster. Here's the trailer! I may do Hawken one of these days since it's a 1 hour or 2 100% but I need to focus on griding Beacon Graduate for RWBY to finish all the online trophies and also APB. There was no doubt I would play it again especially with the DLCs which are all good imo and made this one hell of a gem. Imo this is the best mix of roguelite, metroidvania and action platformer! It has something to please multiple fans of different genres. The combat is smooth and silky, the levels and retro designed styles really make it stand out over many indies. The Return to Castlevania DLC is one of the best add ons I played in any game ever, its so much fun. Good system of weapons and many, many variations of builds that can work in this game. I honestly loved it all the way through. Since this game does have assist mode, it is easier than much before, but I stayed away from that for the most part. Rating: 9.5/10 Difficulty: 5/10 (100%) (tactics build with Hokuto's Bow is OP)

  30. Fourth game complete - Call of Duty Modern Warfare III (PS5) (0.50%). I genuinely had no intention of ever buying this game but it popped up as DLC on Modern Warfare II's list so that forced me to eventually buy it, and I'm glad I did! I had a lot of fun with it, especially this years edition of zombies, despite the fact that the game basically felt like one big Warzone advertisement. The campaign was entirely forgettable for the most part. I appreciate that they tried something new with the 'open combat' missions but they ended up being pretty lacklustre. I've yet to dive into multiplayer but I think it would be cool to play on 2009's MW2's maps once more. Zombies was easily my favourite part of the game, especially the slow progression towards building enough confidence to delve into the tier three zone. Me and my brother went through all three act's and completed every mission just for the fun of it. The grind to 50,000 kills was pretty painful, and wasn't helped by frequent crashes. Since the latest update I've had close to 10 crashes whilst grinding kills! Anyway.. The situation with the trophy list is certainly a strange one, PS4 owners get a platinum for their efforts, but PS5 owners are rewarded with 14 UR's versus zero for them, so I guess we win? 😂

  31. #146 Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Grind: 3/10 Time: 52 Hours Rarity: [Very Rare 6.0% / Uncommon 39.59%] "You'll be my living legacy." Zack is one of my favorite characters of FF and my favorite FF7 character. Crisis Core really made him justice, on the original game Zack barely has time on screen and despite that he became one of the most cherished characters in the franchise, because one thing that the original FF7 does amazingly is building up characters and moments. Crisis Core was originally launched on the PSP in 2007 and I love how you can tell it came in the 2000s, I mean Zack uses a flip phone haha the same happens with the Advent Children movie. Crisis Core Reunion is more than a remaster from the original PSP game, it's more like a "pseudo remake", it changes models, mechanics, the voices, etc. but it's pretty much the same as the original, just "modernized". Despite the changes is you ever played a PSP game you can still tell that beneath all the changes there's still a PSP game, for example the way the Zack moves around or the preference of the left stick in combat, personally I found it very confusing trying to change between locked on enemies with the left stick haha, the combat system is very similar to KH Birth By Sleep, it also remained me a lot of MGS Peace Walker, some of the best PSP games, other than that Crisis Core/CC Reunion is still a great game that expands the FF7 universe, like always it has good music like the incredible song Why from Ayaka and new characters. Nomura and his team did a better job in this 2007 game than in the Remake as for the writing and story goes. I have to say that I liked more Crisis Core than the movie Advent Children (the movie is just too much Nomura haha), anyway this is a game that ties the FF7 trilogy (ccff7+ff7original+movie) and my recommended way for this trilogy would be FF7orignal->movie->CC and then with the whole "Remake" project. It was pretty fun playing as Zack, that ending was brutal and heartbreaking, totally a character that deserves having his own game. Having this platinum... IT DOES FEEL GOOD! Most of the trophies are very simple to get, but most of them are missable too so you'll gonna have to keep an eye on them, the guide here on psnp on missable trophies is top tier, no problems at all with that. Then you'll have to complete 300 missions!!! But no panic, CCR is a game that is very easy, I made my way to chapter 10 without to much thinking and with a lot of foes burned with Fira haha, and the same goes for mission but things get hard when you reach 6 stars and up missions, at this point you should level up stats and get gear, trust me this missions are all about getting good stats and materias leveled up rather than skill, and these missions are very short and all of them are about killing something, so they don't take to much time. Then you'll have a trophy for beating hard mode, the good thing is that you only need to beat the final boss for this trophy, so I recommend living this trophy for the very end, since once you defeated Minerva (super boss tied to the secondary missions) you can breeze this with no problems. Crisis Core Reunion was simple but an awesome game to play and to get the plat, I highly recommend it for anyone that likes the FF7 universe and wants to ride the Lifestream for a little more! "My honor, my dreams... they are yours now."

  34. 359 - Dave the Diver What a great game this was, best game I’ve played so far this year and one of the best I’ve played in my life for sure. It’s bursting with content, so much so that I often felt overwhelmed there was so many things to do. It even has a free cross over DLC with one of my other all time favourite games, DREDGE The gameplay is a cross between a cozy fishing-farming type game, and a management type game. In this case it’s managing a restaurant; which I feel is a very popular practice in reality, yet for some reason very under represented in games. The graphics are absolutely gorgeous. I’m not sure how they went about making this pixel art, but there is so much of it and so many unbelievable pixel art cut scenes that I can only imagine it took a lot of very talented artists a long time to pull off. This is mixed with 3d backgrounds which really give the game an overall amazing presentation. The music is wonderful as well and there really wasn’t a single track in this game I didn’t like. A lot of very relaxing type music and then some upbeat type tracks for when the situation warranted it. I found the difficulty was very well balanced, I was never overflowing with cash like you often find yourself in these types of games. There is always so many things to spend your money on, that you never have a surplus. I will mention that I basically played the game blind though, so I’m sure if you looked up some money making tips maybe you would have a different experience. There is also tons of mini games in this title, often they play like another genre of video game. There are also story sections of the game which switch up the gameplay a lot, such as one section that plays like a 2d stealth type game, and another section which plays like a visual novel. I also have to mention the boss fights which were also very well done with huge pixel art boss sprites, and again a variety of gameplay such as one boss which plays like a shoot ‘em up. Each boss starts of which a huge pixel art screen which I was also a big fan of. All in all this a truly a masterpiece of a game in my opinion. It’s very unique, I’ve never played another game quite like it. I can’t recommend this one enough. There is only one missable trophy, and it’s very hard to miss. I recommend you just play this one blind and take your time with it, experiencing all this game has to offer. Even the trophy art is great: Ive made a couple YouTube videos about how to get some of the trophies which I found more elusive, so check them out if you feel like it! Thanks https://www.youtube.com/@Mr_Fluffy_Pants_

  35. #110 - Mafia III - 4.82% Personal Difficulty - 3/10 Time Played - ~40 hours After I got the plat for Mafia II last year, I wanted to finish the trilogy and get this plat too. However, Mafia III is infamous for having very buggy trophies. I simply didn't think playing it all in one sitting and praying it doesn't crash sounded any fun. The trophies work as intended on an older patch though. I said I'd wait until either the game gets fixed or I can downgrade it (which I'm playing digitally on a PS5, not so easy). Months later, I see this thread pop up, and it seemed easy to use, so I gave it a shot. And just 5-10 minutes later, Mafia III v1.09 was downloading on my PS5, and the whole platinum experience was bug-free. I highly recommend using this method to downpatch games, it's versatile and easy. Anyway, in Mafia III you play as Lincoln Clay, who has just returned from the Vietnam War in 1968 to his home of New Bordeaux. His surrogate family are intertwined with the local mafia ran by Sal Marcano, and after robbing a bank with them, the Mafia kill all of Lincoln's family, accidentally leaving Lincoln alive with a bullet wound in his head. Vowing revenge for his loved ones, Lincoln teams up with a CIA friend from Vietnam, and some other local leaders wronged by the mafia (including Vito Scaletta from Mafia II) and takes down Marcano's criminal empire, piece by piece until they're all dead. Unlike the first two, Mafia III follows an open world structure. To take over the city, you have to do certain tasks to damage the criminal rackets in that area. These consist of stealing certain items, destroying valuables like drugs, and killing certain people. Do enough damage to a racket and you lure out a Racket Boss, who can kill or spare. Each of the 9 districts has 2 rackets, and after both rackets you get a mission to eliminate one of Marcano's lieutenants. After that the district is assigned to one of your allies. Rinse and repeat until the entire city is yours, and you can go kill Sal. I prefer the structure of the first two games, but the gameplay was still very good. The storytelling was quite well done too imo, dealing with heavy subjects such as racism (I'm assuming being black in 1968 isn't exactly a fun time). Lincoln Clay is a good protagonist, and the supporting cast of characters around him were quite good too. Trophy list is mostly fine, a lot of standard stuff for open world games, with the notable exception of no collectible trophy, despite there being hundreds of the damn things. I'm certainly not complaining, the Wanted posters in Mafia II were enough for me personally. Where the trophy list goes wrong imo some trophies requiring 2 playthroughs. For example, in one playthrough you have to kill the Racket Bosses, and another you spare them. The gameplay does not change nearly enough to warrant another playthrough for this imo, you're basically clicking X instead of Circle every time you get someone at knifepoint. I basically speedran through this playthrough on Easy, killing everyone with the OP silenced pistols. Overall, the game was a nice end to the trilogy, although the first Mafia is still my favourite. If you can play this on v1.09, I recommend it. If you can't, I definitely wouldn't bother, unless you like the prospect of a crash ruining 8-10 hours of gameplay.

  40. #477 Another Far Cry done it was ok when I started it I wasn’t quite into it and that lasted for the first few hours I don’t know why really I know what to expect from these games, But it got better the more I played and I did like the setting and visuals were nice in places, I liked that the protagonist speaks this time and some of the story was enjoyable it’s not my favourite by any means but I thought it was decent, I liked the edition of supremos and resolver weapons to add some variety to the gameplay even though I only found some to be useful I liked trying them out, I’ve heard people not liking that they did away with the skill tree which I can see why but I didn't really mind it this time around, I didn’t like doing the special operations and a mission disappeared from my log called The Vanishing which I was saving for last I like Stranger Things and I wanted to play this crossover mission bummer, I think Ubisoft may have removed it or maybe it’s level specific not sure, Oh well not starting again up to that point to find out anyway yeah that’s it. #478 I enjoyed this game I like Arkanes games and this was no different I do prefer there other games that I’ve played but still I thought this was very good, This is the third game I’ve played this year with a time loop mechanic the others being Treasures of the Aegean and The Outer Wilds and just like those I like the way it was done here good stuff, I liked the characters and the story was interesting and I especially liked the dialogue between Colt and Julianna and there back and forth was particularly good, The gunplay was satisfying but I did approach most situations in stealth even when I got better gear I still preferred that way of playing with use of the abilities which was fun, I thought it would potentially get to repetitive with only four areas in the game but the different times of day kept it interesting and I was still finding new stuff after finishing the game. One think I liked but also disliked sometimes was invasions I liked it for the most part just playing the game it was fun but when going for certain trophies requiring stealth she ruined a few runs which was a bit annoying still it wasn’t to bad, With all that being said I think this was excellent I had a great time. #479 Decided to just replay the story to refresh before I start Jedi Survivor, I enjoyed going through the story again just like the first time, I autopop the rest of what was left for the platinum can’t say I’m really into that but couldn’t be bothered getting the remaining collectibles again.

  42. Finished Hunter's Arena Legends for both PS5 and PS4, as well as my tier 1 and one entry for tier 2. This is a melee battle royale that released on ps plus back in 2021, inspired by asian mythology. You kill NPCs and open chests to level up and find gear, as well as upgrading at the blacksmith and buying potions for health etc. at certain points of the map that change as the safe area circle shrinks, and fight real players here and there, trying to be the last one standing. Pretty standard BR stuff. The setting, buildings and monster/demons design is good, I like them and the map overall too. Currently there is only one map, but it seems there were more maps in the past? There were some mentions of snow, when there is no snow areas to be seen. Maybe there were because they also lowered the minimum player requirement at some point after the game flopped and lost most of the playerbase soon after release. They didn't even try to make it free to play. What I didn't like is that there are a few spots in the map where you can get stuck. Sometimes you can keep jumping until you finally get out, and other times you are really stuck and just need to accept your death. It's really amateurish how they let something like this happen and not fix it. The combat can be good but it's janky. Despite the jankiness, it has its charm. I can see why some people would choose to stick with it and also why most people left quickly. I had a decent time with it, except for something I'll mention later. I wanted to do it in 2023 because I felt like its days were numbered (I was right), but with so many server shutdowns it was pushed to this year. The thing is, the matchmaking stopped working in early October of last year (you could log in, but not play. Infinite searching basically), then started working again from late October to mid November, and then it broke again until 3 weeks ago. I had joined the official discord server, like a handful of other people, to try to ask them to fix it, but it turned out to be dead, plagued by scambots (seemingly endorsed by the company itself...), with only one, unresponsive dev. Things didn't look great. After 4 months of being broken, and given the shadiness of this company, I had cut my losses and took it off the backlog lists, hid it on the library, and put it in the list of games I would have 100%'d if they were not shutdown/delisted, etc. It's not common that I take a game off that list, but it has happened twice now (If I had a nickel...). First when Driver San Francisco magically came back, and now this one. I was expecting a flood of players coming to do this game but it never really happened. I wanted to do it ASAP, and rush it as soon as it came back, which was a Saturday. You can only get trophies in solos and trios, and for trios you need 12 people to start, or so we thought. There is barely any info on this game, so it took us until Wednesday to gather 12 consoles to start a trios match (and that was early... we were planning for the weekend), because you need to win once there for 1 trophy. The rest could be done in solo mode. What we didn't know was that it now required only 4 people to start a trios match, and only 2 to start a solo match. So that sucked. But do you know what sucked even more? The next day after I started the game, the one dev in that discord announced that the game will shutdown soon, WITHOUT A DATE. So I really needed to do this ASAP now. Moreover, they said the matchmaking issue could happen again before the shutdown. Luckily the trophies are pretty straightforward and it's a 30h plat more or less. The longest trophy is leveling up 2000 times, which takes 26 h alone. This trophy is the plat pretty much. You can only get to level 20 in a game, so the maximum levels you can get per game is 19. At 4 point something games an hour, it's 26 hours more or less. The rest makes up for the 30 hours. So I got the PS5 plat in 3 days, 3 hours, which was honestly not healthy because I was playing all day everyday. I did this with a friend in voice chat, so it was more manageable, and we were also finding matches immediately. However, when the news of the shutdown got out, more and more people started coming and the matchmaking times got longer. The PS4 version should have taken me 3 more days or 4, but a huge problem ocurred. Last year, my ps4 started having corruption issues, and I couldn't really use it for months. It's the HDD. In case you didn't know, when a ps4 has corruption issues, the trophy system may not work properly. You can fulfill requirements and not get a trophy, because it's as if there were no trophies to be earned at all. This happened to me last year when I lost some progress in Mirror's Edge Catalyst. I had to repeat a main mission I had just beaten, and at the end, I got a trophy that hadn't popped before. I was taken aback. I recently factory reset it and everything seemed fine, used it for Hunt Showdown too. But it turned itself off one day suddenly, and that corrupted my profile. The game crashes frequently on PS4, so in one of those times launching the game again, the trophies weren't working (you can tell by the quick-menu). And yes, I got the 2000 levels in one of those times. So now I didn't have this trophy, and had over 2000 levels. I tried some things but the trophy trigger had been triggered. With this being an online game, it was possible that I had locked myself out of the plat. But this game doesn't have autopop, and it does have a local save file called "Progress Data" on PS4, so there was hope. I just had to... play it for 26h all over again on a new save, and maybe it would pop. It took me a whole week this time. I should have just played the PS4 version on my PS5. At first, there was an unspoken agreement to not kill or bother other trophy hunters, mostly respected. But when doing this 26h trophy a third time, not only was I getting tired, but some assholes started killing people on sight, and killing 2v1, despite being trophy hunters too. I was so ready to be done with this. One day, after a late night session of RWBY, I decided to get the last 1 and a half/2 hours I needed done, to go to sleep with the plat achieved hopefully, even though it was 4 am. It worked! The trophy progress is indeed in the local save. I was quite relieved and went to bed. The next day, I woke up to the news that the matchmaking wasn't working again, less than 12 hours after I finished. I knew it. I knew I should have finished it off, even if I went to sleep at 6 am. It may or may not be fixed before the dateless shutdown. This could be the end, and I avoided it. Here, look, I am the last PS4 platinum achiever currently: https://psnprofiles.com/game-leaderboard/13573-hunters-arena-legends?page=12 Man... what a mess. But in the end I came out on top of it, with 2 platinums and experiencing a decent Battle Royale that were all as good as dead, impossible to be played and earned. P.S. After doing this grind 3 times, I still did not have enough paid currency to unlock even 1 character 🤣. Greedy bastards. 80h not enough? Huge grind so that you pay for them. I put some very realistic contenders for tier 2 to be done next. And have some progress in RWBY already. See you next week 😉 Tier 1 - Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War (PS5) (100%) (3.22%, 1.99%) - Hunt: Showdown (100%) (3.47%) - Hood: Outlaws and Legends (PS5) (100%) (2.43%) - Hood: Outlaws and Legends (PS4) (100%) (2.40%) - Hunter's Arena Legends (PS5) (100%) (1.80%) Tier 2 - Hunter's Arena Legends (PS4) (100%) (1.47%) - RWBY: Grimm Eclipse (57%) (4.61%) - Hawken (0%) (0.77%) - Ace of Seafood (0%) (3.75%) - APB Reloaded (0%) (0.04%)

  46. Final Fantasy VII - #100 I'm already a huge fan of Final Fantasy, so I really enjoyed playing FF7. Looking forward to playing the Remake and Rebirth. Mostly wanted to finish this game because it was the first PS game my mom ever played, and I decided to beat it just for her. 27 years later, lol That and finding out PS Plus is removing a bunch of Final Fantasy games, for some reason. I'm going to try and see if I can beat FF8 before it's gone Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing - #101 Fun kart racer, the sequel was also fun. I hope Sega makes a third one someday, It was really neat seeing classic characters racing with each other.

  47. Tier 1 Update Managed to clear NASCAR Heat 5 at the weekend. I read quite a bit before starting about how the challenges were the make or break, and that a few of them were pretty damn tough. I actually found a few to be tricky, and need some repeated attempts but nothing some persistence and focus couldn't solve. I do a lot of driving games and maybe just something im fairly decent at but id advise not to be put off playing this for that reason. Some grindy stuff but nothing mega, 200 races can easy be done as 2 lap races of Bristol dirt track, and the 10 seasons can be simmed to the last race and just completing the last race. That said it did take 13 seasons for that trophy to pop but i had read about that one not popping as it should. Had a couple of issues with own team development trophies, but re did another team and saved and closed the game before the action that would pop the trophy, meaning they popped fine when i loaded the game and did them straight away. Going to finish up WRC 6 for another UR completion tonight, and have TT Isle of Man downloaded to play as my next driving/riding.

  48. Tier 3 Done Hohokum PS4 EU 100% Very confusing. I had to look up a Walkthrough to understand what to do. Very short and a fun game Escape Plan PS4 100% Fun Point-and-Click Game. Im suprised how much i liked it. It got really good reviews too. Easy game. Not sure why the trophies are that Ultra rare. Even it was free on + I will continue to post each time i get 5 Completed games. Happy hunting 😃

  49. We have finally completed a game. Persona 4 Arena Ultimax PS3 Plat and 100% is done! Honestly, not much to say about this game. I found it a lot easier than its PS4 counterpart but I think that's because of all the experience I have now. Thankfully, Adachi and Marie are not actually that hard, and most of their combos are pretty basic I found aside from a few. Overall great game, and I am happy to finally get another platinum... What I'm really excited for is to hopefully get the Tower of Fantasy platinum at some point during this event. It's somehow 0.05%, and getting it would make me feel like I contributed something unique to this event and also just overall to my list of platinums. Hope everybody's hunting is going well, and thank you for reading.
