Popular Post Undead Wolf
#301 - Code Vein Revenant Preeminent Earn all trophies This is a game I was looking forward to playing for quite some time. I mean on paper it looked like "Anime Dark Souls", so what could possibly go wrong? Well, as it turns out... a lot. There are parts of Code Vein I liked, and it could have been great, but the whole experience is brought down by some of the worst level design I've ever seen in a game. A lot of these levels are built like labyrinths, with winding paths, dead ends, etc. Most of the time the minimap is of no help because they put the paths on top of each other or parts that look like dead ends actually lead somewhere. The Anor Londo rip-off is the most clear example of this. The challenge isn't from the enemies like it should be in a game like this, but it comes from trying to navigate this hell hole. Everything looks the same, the correct pathways are often very obscure, and you're expected to find keys/levers throughout to open up other parts of the level. Not only that, but this level is huge as well. Took me hours to make it to the end on my first playthrough and it was a miserable experience. I also stopped paying attention to the story maybe halfway through. It's just not interesting at all. The trophies weren't difficult, but for some reason the developers thought it would be a great idea to put in an absurd medal grind. The bosses weren't interesting enough that I'd want to fight them 400 times... ? The only thing that saves this game for me is the co-op, because at least I could share the pain with someone else. So thanks for that @Redgrave. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the DLC they're adding to this game doesn't have new trophies, because I really don't want to come back to this game. If the developers *do* add new trophies, in the words of Liam Neeson from the hit movie Taken "I Will Look For You, I Will Find You...And I Will Kill You".
Popular Post Arcesius
Platinum #62 – Alienation 100% Enjoyment: 8/10 100% Challenge: 3.5/10 Twin-stick shooter style games (I'm including games like Magicka 2 or Gauntlet here, which aren't "shooters" but still feel similar enough) are quickly becoming one of my favorite types of games to play in coop, and Housemarque's Alienation gotta be the best game in the genre I've played to date. Stylish, fast, addictive, Alienation will give you a fantastic time for your money. 100% Enjoyment Alienation is an isometric twin-stick shooter. As per usual with these games, don't ask me what the plot is about, I couldn't tell you… ? All I know is that you get to shoot Xenos (the enemy species) in the face, and that it feels great doing so. In stark contrast to Helldivers, which looks and plays very similarly, there is an actual mission structure here. In total, one campaign playthrough consists of 20 missions in four different locations that are progressively unlocked but can be replayed as often as you want, and each mission consists of different objectives that you need to complete. The Battle- and Mothership are an exception, though: Two unique missions that are only available once per character. Now, there are three different characters that can be played. The Tank (self-explanatory), The Saboteur (likes to use poison) and The Bio-Specialist (is able to heal herself and the party members), and all story missions need to be completed with all characters if you are going for the plat (which of course we are). I believe that pre-DLC, each character had unique weapons exclusive to them… But that changed, and now all types of weapons can be used by all characters. What didn't change is that each character has unique abilities that they can be used in combat. Now, for the meat of the game… You basically have a primary and secondary weapon, a heavy weapon and some sort of grenade… And you need to learn how to use those tools effectively, as you'll be constantly facing HUGE hordes of enemies… ? Crowd control is everything, it's the game. Initially you'll be easily overwhelmed as due to the small clip sizes of your weapons you'll very likely be reloading at the most inconvenient moments. But the more you play, the more you learn how to deal with those waves of enemies. At some point it will become second nature: Empty the clip of the primary weapon, start reloading and switch to the second weapon. Shoot enemies in the face with that one, follow up with a Vortex Grenade. Your primary weapon should be reloaded now, so switch back to that one and keep shooting, etc… It's chaotic, but it's fantastic. ? Now, what makes the game even more addictive is its loot system. If you have been following my reviews, you'll know that I have a weakness for Diablo-esque loot systems… That's probably one of the reasons I adore Nioh, and it's not unlikely that it's also what makes me not only like, but love Alienation. Modified drop percentages of legendary and rare loot incentivize playing on higher difficulties, and finding that sweet OP legendary Xenorifle with twelve core-slots is just so satisfying! Core-slots? What am I talking about, you ask? You see, each rare and legendary weapon comes with up to 12 empty slots, and those can be filled with "cores", which drop from killing enemies and opening crates. There are cores that increase your clip size, your reload speed, your damage output, etc… Thus, those are essentially used to improve your raw weapon, and low-level cores can be combined to higher level cores for greater effect. This way, you can take a weapon that deals 300k damage per second and turn it into an unstoppable device of destruction that deals 1.7 million damage per second, has a huge clip and super fast reload speed. And IT. FEELS. AWESOME! Now, it is very easy and quick to just join public lobbies, and most players won't kick you out of their session (only happened twice I think), but it's probably more fun to play it in a coordinated team. I did two entire playthroughs with @BB-BakkerJ and I think I speak for the both of us when I say that we had a fantastic time with this game. The third playthrough I did in local coop, and while it was fun as well, there are some drawbacks here… For one, you need to share the loot (which sucks ?)… But even worse is that you are restricted in your movement, as you share the same screen. That resulted in unnecessary deaths that would not have happened in online play. 100% Challenge I mentioned that three playthroughs are required. That might sound like a lot, but once you know what you're doing, a single playthrough is pretty quick. BB and myself did our third playthrough from scratch in under four hours. Needs to be said, the grind has been heavily reduced since the release of the DLC. This is because you need to get all three characters up to level 30, but with the DLC you can create characters already at level 15 (not that leveling up is an issue... you can just join a Legend lobby, which is the highest difficulty setting, and will be level 30 within minutes). Otherwise, similar to paragon levels, once you reach level 30 with a hero you start gaining "hero levels". You need to get up to 100, which might sound like a lot but will more than likely come naturally while you are going for other trophies. The grindiest one requires you to equip a 12-socket legendary weapon with maximum level cores. Getting such a weapon was easy enough, but grinding all the cores needed to combine them to get 12 maximum level cores took quite some time. I'm not complaining though, even that grind was fun ? Oh, one DLC introduced local-coop trophies, which in my opinion are totally unnecessary. You need to complete the Battle- and Mothership missions in local coop, but since BB and I were playing online, we needed to resort to shareplay. The with this is that the joining person will need to create a fresh character and won't be able to do anything to help clearing the mission (you are basically one-shot). That sucked big time, but it's also the only critique I have. Honestly, I can't wait to play Nex Machina.

Popular Post yellowwindow7
The Minstrel / Ghost of a Tale i have been waiting patently for a sale on this game for a long time since i have a policy of not buying a digital game priced higher than $20 and this day have finally comes and i picked this for $19, i don't know why this game took so long to get a price cut which it was around $30, but i gotta say this game worth the price of at least $25, i liked it so much! in this game you're a mouse.. you works as a minstrel, the rats whose raided your country and separate you from your wife have thrown you in an island-like jail for a crime you didn't do ( basically to shut your mouth on something ) your goal is to find a way out and search for your wife, the game is considered an RPG adventure game but i must say it's not really an RPG, it's more of an exploration adventure stealth game having some RPG elements.. the devs said the inspiration of this game comes from the classic 1982 animated film The Secret of NIMH which shows right away, also took inspiration from other films like The Dark Crystal etc. and from games they said the inspiration came from stuff like The legend of Zelda, Dark Souls and Ico, the game do have that ico feel of exploration but i don't know where did the Dark Souls and Zelda stuff went as the game is not that Ultra hard nor have anything that looks like a zelda game but it dose kinda have that feel of Batman Arkham Asylum of wondering this huge open world like island with no loading screens and a bit of Amnesia the Dark Descent and other games like Thief: The Dark Project. you can't fight enemies or guards in this game you can only distract or knock the less armed guards out cold by bunking them in the head with an empty bottle, other than that just run away, hide and avoid been seen, the only time you can fight is the spiders in the catacomb by throwing them with bottles or kill them with the traps been set for them and even if you killed one you don't get skill points, skill point can only been given when you finish side activities, main story related stuff and other minor things like burn banners and pick up collectibles and when pick up the right choices when talking to some NPC's in a special subject.. leveling up will only increase your health bar and makes you land on your feet better when jumping from high places. the writing is so good and so funny at places and the story is good for what it is, i love how the NPC's can actually reacted to you depending on what you're wearing/looks and even holding in your hands because the old frog in the cells i went to talk to him while holding a candle and he got annoyed by the bright light and tell me to put off the candle before talking to him, also the two sibling mice that help you around and ask you to steal stuff for them one time i visit their cell while holding a wooden stick ( forgot to put it away ) and the female mouse Fatale got freaked out thinking i was about to beat them with it warning her brother that i was holding a stick ? the graphics is really Good! most of the time it ran 60FPS even on the base ps4 like mine making me surprised how this is a crowd funded indie game, stuff like this usually can be seen in triple A games, seriously this is one of the best looking game i got in 2019 ( console version released in 2019 ) i heard it won a prize in Ping Award? for best graphics in 2018 which made sense. another funny situation is when i met the alchemist rat in the sewers, he made something and ask me to eat it for experiment " this thing is obviously a failed medical food of some sort " when you ate it your ears will gets bigger, i didn't notice it until one of the guards made fun of me ? you can go back to him to return them to normal if you want. though the game is not with it share of glitches and bugs which is full of them despite the patches, and i always have a bad feelings toward crowd funded games ( which this is one of them ) as they always ended up incomplete or raided with bugs and glitchs ghost of a tale is no exception, while the game is complete but it's very buggy.. in my first blind playthrough it crashed 10 times! most of the time it crashed after you done talking with someone and before the auto save there will be a small freeze and sometime during that freeze the game could crash and once i plat it and wen't looking at the Error History it said the game crashed 15 times, this broke the record to me that was set by Silent Hill Downpour on the ps3 years back which is 13 game crash. also you can basically instant crash the game by bringing the quick menu of the ps4 and remove it when the name of the company SeithCG shows on screen when booting the game, also when the sun goes down the visual will gets a bit of blur as if the resolution drop to 720p or something and you can see the god's ray of the sun went through walls and even coming from the water.. one place i can't spoil due to story related dips the framerate to 20FPS, and in the final encounter the game could also crash if you died or load your last save place which frustrated me, and you can turn on the Photo Mode and while playing when press R3+L3 to enter photo mode you can actually fly with the photo mode camera and go where ever you want ( go through wall, cheat by checking what's behind locked doors, discover hidden places and even fly out of the game's map ).. the most game breaking bug is when you beat the game you'll unlock the armor that you can wear to disguise yourself as a guard early in the game in a new game plus, there's a friendly ghost that you met in the catacomb.. if you return to her later on and talk to her a part of the armor will disappear from your inventory making it impossible to finish the rest of the story related missions that required the armor. other than that the game work nicely and the characters are lovable especially the playable character Tilo is so adorable! my next plat it should be Death Stranding.. Gotta Keep on Keeping on! Edited January 11, 2020 by yellowwindow7 correcting something.

Popular Post zizimonster
#72 Horizon Zero Dawn First of all, the story of Horizon Zero Dawn is definitely not my cup of coffee tea. Don't ask me why because I probably could not answer it, and I hope it will change when I do new game plus on Ultra Hard diffciulty later. Nonetheless, the gameplay is definitely for me though I have to admit I didn't enjoy it at first, but it grew on me after a while, especially the Hunting Ground trials, in which you do certain tasks in a specific time-frame, are my favorite parts. Now onto The Frozen Wilds. #73 Goodbye Deponia Who says point-and-clickers are dead!? I believe Deponia quadrilogy has proven otherwise. With its humorous characters and a narrative to enjoy (plus a very easy platinum trophy), the third entry dubbed as Goodbye Deponia proves that this genre hasn't run out of ideas, though I have to say that its narrative gets less exciting compared to the two previous entries. And I can't say when I will play Deponia Doomsday because of those "horror" stories of one of the trophies in it, in which you have to grind for two hours or more, and you can mess up too if you're not careful. #74 Guns, Gore & Cannoli 2 This game is obviously not THAT easy even on the easiest difficulty. You could be swarmed with enemies from any directions, and you need to be constantly on the move, or else you could end up dead! Plus, there is some difficulty spike near the end of the game before the final boss. Ugh... I needed almost an hour to complete that single section. However, this game is fun that I recommend you play it -- and platinum it.

Popular Post Masamune
Woah! Earn all the other trophies. Difficulty: 8/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 Playtime: N/A (4 days, 18 hours, 10 minutes) Another Crash game that seems way too hard for its rarity (at least here on PSNP). ? Definitely harder than I expected it to be, & much more difficult than the PS1 version. Hard mode has some challenges, but nothing impossible... beating all of Oxide's times in arcade mode though, that's where the bulk of the difficulty is in this game. Now not all of them are a 8/10 in terms of difficulty, in fact I even had fun going for some of them. But there are a handful of stages that are just a bitch to beat... The worse ones that come to mind (hardest to easiest) are: Dragon Mines (having to hold SF for almost 2 laps, & maneuvering the circular bridge without loosing too much speed) Oxide Station (having to hold USF for as long as possible through multiple bendy/hard turns) Sewer Speedway (must take shortcut all 3 laps, which requires very good timing to jump into, especially if you're on version 1.00) Tiny Temple (must hold a USF from the end of the 1st lap all the way to the end) Deep Sea Driving (most of the track is easy to hold a USF on, but getting through the final section without getting hit is like 70% luck when going at such high speeds) Those stages probably took 30 minutes to an hour of practice to finally beat Oxide (all done with Penta Penguin), & even then it was mostly by a very small margin... for example, Dragon Mines I cleared by just 13 milliseconds (& that wasn't even my closest call, that was Polar Pass by 1 whole millisecond). ? Overall I'd say the difficulty was just slightly easier than the first Crash game, but by such a small amount, I'm still rating both games as an 8. It was fun, & the graphics are great... but that last part still qualifies as torture (& Beenox didn't do us any favors by making Oxide's times even faster in this version). Which reminds me, whoever decided that Oxide's times needed to be "improved" in this version, this is for you: I think I'm going to get a lot of use out of this GIF. While I played the other games before, this was my first time playing Ascension. It was an average experience. To be honest with ya, they should have taken the Trials of Archimedes part and made it its own game mode instead of the MP. Add more waves, more variety of enemies (bring back some enemies from previous games) and voila!!... you got yourself a nice survival mode. Popular Post Deluziion90
Platinum #231 - Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Reboot Tier 1Unlock all Trophies Fun 8 / 10 Difficulty 3 / 10 Bought the game on release on PC because I just love the oldskool multiplayer shooting but I just felt I needed this platinum on my account. I didn't even play SP on PC so with some luck I found it very cheap and so the singleplayer was done on PS4. The platinum is very straight forward and I started right away on Veteran. It was easy but on some parts just plain frustrating with the AI. Teammates are as usefull as a brick. They just feel like star troopers who never hit anything. Nevertheless it was an amazing game and story. Now It's time to focus on the DLC Spec ops part which should be an absolute unfair pain Edited January 11, 2020 by Deluziion90
Popular Post ShonenCat
Platinum #49 - Shenmue Difficulty Rating 3/10 Enjoyment Rating 8/10 Uncommon - 37.00% Back during the Dreamcast days, Shenmue was a game I wasn’t quite old enough to appreciate. I instead opted to play much more Crazy Taxi and Soul Calibur at the time Now that Shenmue has been rereleased for current gen consoles, I was finally able to enjoy this gem in full. While this game now would be pretty dated in the minds of most gamers, it’s amazing how I can set my brain back to 1999 and see all the ambitious things Shenmue set out to accomplish during it’s time. Before the millennium, it was the most expensive game ever developed, and it shows. The environments feel very real, meaning nothing feels cookie cutter at all. It’s like you’re really navigating Japanese suburbs, and practically every door can be interacted with and more or less any building in the city hub can be entered. Dialogue is fully voiced, for better or for worse ? For the first time ever to western audiences, the Japanese track can be selected... but if you’re not playing the English dub, you’re doing yourself a major disservice. I dare say that the cheesy and rushed English dialogue is what helped make Shenmue famous here in the west. Some may prefer a more serious experience with the Japanese track, but I can ensure you that English is much more fun. Your millage may vary ? In Shenmue, you take on the role of Ryo Hazuki. Your father, head of the family dojo is killed by a Chinese dude who wants two ancient mirrors... and stuff ? Now you’re out for revenge and it’s your job to track the guy down and make him suffer. The game functions like Yakuza, but in it’s most basic and early form. You travel around a city hub with many buildings that can be entered. There are loads of activities to do that are surprisingly not required to do for the platinum. Much like Yakuza, you can go to the arcade and play classic SEGA games, gamble at the slots, play billiards, race forklifts, get into street fights with punks, etc. Talking to residents and gathering information helps progress the main story, but the environment in Shenmue is a living, breathing landscape and it’s easy to be mesmerized on just how great all of it was for 1999. Controls and camera may be a bit wonky, but it’s nothing that will ruin the experience. There is a genuine charm to this game, only SEGA could release something this Chinese and Japanese at the same time ? Platinum journey is an easy one, but will take sometime depending how distracted you become by the in-game world of Shenmue. I for one tried to collect all the capsule toys, but the game cut off my ability to free roam before I realized I was already beyond the point of no return. Most of the game’s trophies only require you to progress the main story, but there are a few side missions and flashback sequences to trigger, mostly at the beginning of the game. I would say the most time consuming side mission is the cat quest because it takes a lot of in-game days to trigger. Be sure to help Megumi take care of the cat everyday until that specific side mission opens to you. Practice your fighting moves as much as you can at the city hub’s parking lot. You’ll need to be strong in order to successfully beat the game’s finale. Shenmue is a wonderful game with a rich history and major cult following. Whether you’re looking for “sailors” or “Chinese people” you won’t find yourself getting bored with this one. I could really kick myself for not giving this game a fair chance back when I owned a Dreamcast. But now I’m extremely interested to play the sequels as soon as the opportunity presents itself ^^

I like an otome every once in a while, but I'm not sure completely how I feel about this one. This one felt... Really long for some reason? It had some nice moments in it, I think all the routes were pretty good (except Van Helsing's, that was boring trash) but I also think that there was something missing from this. I liked how it had a well thought out world and I enjoyed the references to classical fictional characters, but again, something was missing. Maybe the game was just too long, I read all of Guardian of Rebirth but then skipped all of Future Blessings. Maybe it's the main character? God, I really don't know. If you want the definitive list of best boys it goes Victor, Lupin, Saint Germain, Impey, Van Helsing, this is non negotiable ok bye.

So i was really confused with the first few hour. Once i know how to play it, this the time the game start to get interesting. Another thing is the story something is very confused. This is a messy game but good to play lol . have fun playing Spoiler Alert Spoiler In the end i just know everyone dies lol
