Tales of Graces wraps up the last non-Japanese stack of the last non-Zestiria game in the Tales series for me, which I set out to complete a year ago when lockdown really kicked in. I'm definitely looking forward to Arise, but I hope it follows Berseria in having a single trophy list. inFamous is, of course, infamous among trophy hunters for its high number of collectibles with no in-game tracking, but luckily 2013 me was a forward-thinker and printed off a physical map to keep track of the ~200 blast shards I'd found before I put the game down. Somehow I managed to keep those around, even after a move. Being able to pick up exactly where I left off made the whole process go off without a hitch, and it definitely felt good to finally throw those old maps away. Atelier Totori Plus is another game I started way back then and quickly set aside, and as someone who's allergic to using items in RPGs it was rough. I couldn't get into the game at all, at least not until it finally clicked-- the Stockholm syndrome kicked in?-- and I couldn't put it down. I plan on continuing to focus on my PS3 and Vita backlogs, especially given recent news, but I'm already looking forward to playing the rest of the Atelier series on PS4 now that I'm done with Tales. I also pounded out a few quick Vita platinums with the hours I had left over, to make up for the completion drop from new Immortals and A Hat in Time DLC trophies, but the only one of those worth reflecting on is Syrup and the Ultimate Sweet, which was adorable. For April, I'm having some trouble deciding what to work on, but inFamous 2 will definitely be on the list. Looking at my backlog, I'm thinking about Final Fantasy XIII and maybe God of War on Vita, but those two are subject to change. Original Starting PCG: 84.87% Last Month's PCG: 85.59% Current PCG: 86.06% (+.47%) inFAMOUS 2 & Festival of Blood servers have had problems, so if you want to get the online trophies, I recommend you get the as soon as possible. I got Festival of Blood for about 4.46€, and I really enjoyed it. You might want to check it out in addition to playing inFAMOUS 2. P.S. But I have it all set up for wither, end dragon respawn. I have another water world that has a mob spawner that is easy enough to get the skele from 50 m away from. I just don't have a guardian one since the tutorial world has one and you can make diamond armor in it super fast and easy. I’ve also been playing some co-op games with my partner and completed Overcooked and started Overcooked 2. We spent over an hour trying to 3-star a DLC level in the latter to no avail... Sword Posted April 2, 2021 Share Posted April 2, 2021 (edited) Other than MHW, I didn't have much of a successful last month (though I did end up playing Lego: Jurrasic World with my mom and we absolutely SMASHED through that game! Only got a little bit left to do before completing that one, but I'm not doing it by myself. Gotta look for another opportunity to go back over and complete this one). Most of this past month was spent reflecting on why I trophy hunt, making some decisions that will affect how I approach this hobby going forward and ultimately just taking a break last month in general. Now I've got that spark back and hoping to really kick things back into gear going forward. I'll be doing Outriders and probably seeing if I can play Lego: Hobbit this month. I eventually have to swing back to the games I have incomplete while balancing a couple events at the same time. Though since I'm not on the "official" list here, my progress will be dicey when it comes to this event. We'll see though. Sadly I came to the PS scene late in 2019 and so I only have a PS4 and with PS3 digital going away it'll be harder for me to get those games down the line. Lego LOTR is one of my ABSOLUTE favorites and EASILY beats the Hobbit by a mile (Hobbit doesn't even have the 5 armies in it, ugh!) I've played both on Xbox years back and so I'm just swinging back around to them on PS to add to my trophy collection, except looks like I'll never be able to put LOTR on there. Booo. I was bummed to that Hobbit was never updated for the last movie. That is why I hate games that come out early in a new IP like that. Look at Attack on Titan, instead of updating they released a second game that had you do the same story line again from scratch when season two came out. When it comes to progress on older PS3 games, there was only 2 trophies and I forgot to adjust the xcel sheet to seperate it from the PS4 list. When I'm home now on the weekends, the PS5 is obviously what I want to play right now. While during the week, when I'm not home, will always be the PS4 that I'm playing. Maybe by summer I can get back into finishing some PS3 games. If I had a normal life of coming home everyday, this would be a lot easier. But, I'm doing what I can. Some have been great and other not so but even though Ive lost more ground this week I feel like I am making progress. Took a hit to completion yesterday as I just picked up Demon Souls and its a must play for me. I don't anticipate any more new games for a bit so that completion should be heading in the right direction for the rest of the month. Dark Souls III Platinum is complete. Special thanks to @Spacey Dweeb for helping out with this one and the ring drops from NG++. Would have liked to watch your reckless speed run for them. haha Tennis in the Face I first learned of this game from some random profile displayed on the main page here at PSNP. Don't ask me why but it always intrigued me and Ive had it in my watch list for months. I know it was only $6 on the store but I was determined to wait for a sale. That never happened so when I signed up for the $1 PSNow month and saw it on there I jumped right into it. It gave me 2 solid nights worth of enjoyment and was great fun perfecting my shots to take every enemy down with as few balls as possible. My Name is Mayo Heard a lot about this game and didn't know much about it other than you had to click on a jar of Mayo. Turns out i knew everything about this game as that is all you do. Wished I left this on the store as it lost my interest really quickly. My Name is Mayo 2 Only did this one because I had bought both Mayo games together. This one at least had some variation to one "story line". Spyro Played through another world with my kids this week. They seem to love the flying levels the best while I just feel nauseated after awhile with the spinning screen. I doubt they will have the skill to get the All in One runs done but maybe if I'm lucky they will practice enough to knock them out for me. Monster Hunter World Didn't make any trophy progress this week but I did complete a few more story missions. Megaquarium Finally this went on sale. I'm having fun with it as a filler game and its bringing back a lot of memories for me. I actually had quite a few of the fish in the game in various aquariums over the years as a hobby. Trophy list is really straight-forward too and all trophies will likely come just by playing the game. Its an added bonus. Demon Souls Just started on this one last night and its been great so far. I never did play the original on PS3 so everything is new to me but coming off of Dark Souls 3 recently the lighting and graphical upgrades from that are really nice. It was a loss of .28% on my completion overall. I did start 2 new games, one of which was just to get the 3 multiplayer trophies done. I managed to finish 3 DLCs and 2 games to 100% completion. Ac3 liberation on vita, yes the trophies were doable solo, infact the multiplayer is only a single person experience, but you have to connect to the ubisoft servers to access it, and as I have stated before I don't trust that once the stores go down companies will keep the online servers for games active anymore. I have heard a rumor from a friend that works for a development company that is owned by 2k games, that they are to quit supporting services for ps3, psp, and vita games that on October 1st unless a profit margin can be shown for said services. He seemed to think this was a form email sent to all companies 2k games owns. I also had to upgrade my hardrive on my ps4 this last weekend. I managed to get it swapped before it completely chunked, but now I do have a nice SSD in there so hopefully downloaded games might load a little faster. Assassin's Creed 3 Liberation (Vita): Started just to clear the 3 multiplayer trophies now in case of services shutdown. Will come back to the game in time, probably long term game as I heard and seen it is a "laggy, glitched fun time" Drive Girls (Vita): Started this as it was next on my list of Vita games to playthrough. Fun, game but can't spend to much time staring down at my vita per day. Lost Dimension (PS3): Finished the platinum on this game in the early part of the week. Fun game with a great soundtrack, the first playthrough is nice as you don't have to worry at all about the RNG of the traitor system as you can't unlock the true true ending until the second playthrough in ng+. Yes I know I said true true, this was on purpose if you want to eliminate extra playthroughs it is recommended that do the true ending route on the first playthrough, which is hard just discover and vote out the traitors each floor, to make the 2nd playthrough true true ending possible. RNG only really comes into effect on the 2nd playthrough where if you don't keep some saves in place the traitors, determined as you vote out the last one(s) from the previous floor, can be someone you already had, and may didn't get max affection with yet. As max affection, only thing that carries over to ng+, with everyone is required as well for true true ending route. Enough about that game if anyone has an specific questions hit me up, I would recommend playing this as the story isn't bad and it was a fun game overall. Plus a physical copy is still very cheap even for a sealed one. ($10 to $15ish). Saints Row: The Third (PS3): Thanks to the pending ps3 store closure I finally got around to buying the DLC as it was the only thing I hadn't done for it. I was able to get the season pass online for 4.99 which is a great deal considering the dlc's individually are 6.99 and there are 3 of them. I played through and completed all of them yesterday (Sunday) as none of them take very long and if you have beaten the game and got all the upgrades to your character then they are very easy. Popular Post VoltrefferNL Posted April 5, 2021 Popular Post Share Posted April 5, 2021 Update #3 Starting PCG 33.25%Previous Week 34.73%Current PCG 36.18%Goal = 50% Bit of a late update from me but I thought i'd lift it over the weekend! Finished two games for the 100% bracket challenge. Both have been in my backlog for some time (Wolvenstein more then 4 years!) This has been pretty good for my completion %! The other games are all over my average % so I'm not expecting massive increases in the coming week. I might also start Spiderman as I've been able to borrow that! Currently working on: Going to start mopping up Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019), chip away at the veteran campaign for the rest of the month. What I saw was not good, brand new games! One of them was Resistance Burning Skies, once I opened it I was scared, the code was expired since may 2015!! But for some reason it still worked and thanks to the sessions on PSNP I got the platinum earlier this evening. Nice game! Other brand new games are Lego games, Danganronpa 2 and Trigger Happy Havoc, NFS Most Wanted and Minecraft. Anyone knows if I need to buy DLC for Minecraft? The store is full of DLC but what I can see it are just skins ? I also started and finished Abzu today, I love these extra free days. I already played the game on Switch but now it was free and it is a nice game so this time I played it for the trophies. Tomorrow I finally get my race simulator cockpit, I wish I had a very good reason to call in sick ? I'm having fun with it as a filler game and its bringing back a lot of memories for me. I actually had quite a few of the fish in the game in various aquariums over the years as a hobby. Trophy list is really straight-forward too and all trophies will likely come just by playing the game. Its an added bonus. Big tip with the last level. I'm not sure if they updated the game but I overloaded the game by having too many tanks and it kept crashing. I ended up deleting everything and making one huge tank when you had to put the last fish in. It didn't look very good but at least I could finish the game. It's a must play if you have or have ever owned an aquarium. I had a blast playing it.
